Reid: House ‘Being Operated
With A Dictatorship Of The Speaker’

Associated Press, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:pineledger, 12/28/2012 6:29:56 AM

Washington--A last-gasp effort Thursday to avoid automatic tax increases and spending cuts got off on the same convulsive, partisan tone that marked congressional attempts to resolve the impasse before lawmakers left Washington to go home for Christmas. (Snip)Reid charged Thursday that the House was “being operated with a dictatorship of the speaker. John Boehner seems to care more about keeping his speakership than about keeping the nation on sound financial footing,” the Nevada Democrat said on the Senate floor.

Comments:
A slight bit of projection, Harry?

Reid brings home plenty of federal taxpayer booty to his state and can be counted on to make outrageous, insulting and completely false accusations toward Republicans so of course he gets re-elected for that. He has no other accomplishments. Now that Boehner has lobbed this phony fiscal cliff to the Senate to solve Reid is at a loss so he goes back to what he does best - showing his stupidity and running his mouth.

Of course Reid is accusing Boehner of doing EXACTLY what he is doing in the Senate. Seriously, someone should "explain" it to him in terms he might understand.

As a citizen of this country I´m am sick of these people. They say things that we all know are wrong yet they think that we believe it. I´m sick of the games that are played in Washington DC by this group of people, blame this one, blame that one, call this one this, call that one that. They all are acting like they are dictators and passing legislation to enrich themselves and not for the good of the country, they all need to be impeached, thrown out. Because we are not as a nation getting better with these people.

This from the man who has supposedly been in charge of the Senate for the last four years and has not submitted a single budget, even though he is Constitutionally obligated to do so, for any of those four years.

The question I have is this: what is wrong with every democrat senator? Am I to assume that they are ALL in agreement with a filthy, lying discourteous Leader?
Aren´t there rules about slandering another member?
Is there not even ONE democrat left with honor in the Senate who is willing to put country before scoring points?

Let´s go slowly for the benefit of liberals; When it comes from Obeyme or Reid, it´s usually the exact opposite. In this case, the "dictator" was clearly unable to dictate anything to Republicans. The article at least referenced the incident, but blamed Boehner for pulling the vote, rather than his inability to dictate.

So, the question is: Was the AP reporter simply taking dictation from Reid, or did AP bother to ask if the actions on record directly contradict his charge. It was AP, afterall, so we probably know the answer.

The Hague-—President Barack Obama, seeking to shift the trajectory of the crisis in Ukraine, will press U.S. allies Monday to suspend Russia from the Group of Eight leading nations and to adopt more sweeping sanctions against the Russian economy, administration officials said. Mr. Obama will argue for those steps in an emergency meeting Monday evening with leaders of the world´s top seven economies, held on the sidelines of a nuclear security summit in The Hague, officials said. Washington--One in five people who signed up for health insurance under the new health care law failed to pay their premiums on time and therefore did not receive coverage in January, insurance companies and industry experts say. Paying the first month’s premium is the final step in completing an enrollment. Under federal rules, people must pay the initial premium to have coverage take effect. In view of the chaotic debut of the federal marketplace and many state exchanges, the White House urged insurers to give people more time, and many agreed to do so. But, insurers said, some people missed

DENVER — Helping the terminally ill end their lives, condemned for decades as immoral, is gaining traction. Banned everywhere but Oregon until 2008, it is now legal in five states. Its advocates, who have learned to shun the term “assisted suicide,” believe that as baby boomers watch frail parents suffer, support for what they call the “aid in dying” movement will grow further. In January, the New Mexico Supreme Court authorized doctors to provide lethal prescriptions and declared a constitutional right for “a competent, terminally ill patient to choose aid in dying.” Last May, the Vermont Legislature passed a law

Washinton--A Congressional Budget Office analysis released Tuesday predicted that the Affordable Care Act would shrink the work force by the equivalent of more than two million full-time positions and recharged the political debate over the health care law, providing Republican opponents fresh lines of attack and putting Democrats on the defensive. The nonpartisan budget office’s analysis, part of a regular update to its budget projections, was far more complicated than the Republican attack lines it generated. Congressional Republican leaders called the findings “devastating,” “terrible” and proof that the health care law was a job killer. (Snip)Senator Joe Manchin III, Democrat

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the
