NEW YORK – New York City police say a man has been shoved in front of a subway train and has been killed. Investigators are searching for the woman believed to have pushed him Thursday night in Queens. It´s the second time a man was shoved to his death on subway tracks this month. Ki-Suck Han was pushed in front of a train in Times Square on Dec. 3. A photograph of him moments before the train hit him was published on the cover of the New York Post and caused an uproar. Thursday´s subway killing happened on a platform for the 7 train, which connects Manhattan and Queens.

Does NYC hold a valid subway system permit?
Will US politicians immediately call for tighter subway system controls?
Will any of them be holding valid permits
to exercise their First Amendment rights?
Stay tuned...

The woman was following him and mumbling and nobody thought to alert either the man himself or a policeman. As long as crazies are allowed to roam free random killings will continue, whether 20 innocent children or one innocent man after another. And it doesn´t take a gun if you can turn something else, even a subway car, into a weapon.

And Bloomy will handle this by banning soft drinks, upping cigarette taxes & confiscating guns from legal owners. Amazing how no one will talk about the mental health crisis.

Time to ban subways. Pushing people on train tracks don´t kill people, trains kill people.

It´s time register all trains, their conductors and all of the riders. They need permits, ID´s and anyone using the trains must have background checks to make sure they are stable enough to enter the waiting area before the train arrives.

What if they slowed the trains at the point they emerge from the tunnel and then proceed at, say, 10 MPH to the platform. Probably add 30 seconds or so to each stop. Would that be possible?

I say ban all use of hands or tax use of hands at 75 percent, at the minimum, so that Obamacare can pay for medical bills and/or funeral expenses. This goes for wife beaters and those inclined to self-gratification -- big government knows who you are.

I lived in NYC for five years. Never stand right next to the tracks, even at rush hour when it´s crowded and you´re likely not to be able to get on the train if you´re not close.

I used to stand right next to the tracks and then a woman was pushed on the tracks at a stop one block away from mine. I never stood close again. It´s the easiest way to protect yourself in the subway.

Beyond that, it´s time to get the crazies off the streets and into legitimate facilities.

All users of the subway must be registered, finger printed, and go though background checks. Convicted felons will be disallowed. Also Tea Party members, smokers, ex-military, and Clint Eastwood.

No gun necessary. The next lunatic will figure out how to push a gaggle of kindergarteners in front of the oncoming train. Still no gun necessary.

When is New York going to declare its subways a lunatic-free zone?

At least this time the headline is more close to the truth. The first event, the headline was something akin to "Subway Train Kills Man". No, a lunatic did, just like this time, just like the mass shootings.

Inanimate objects don´t kill people, people of ill intent, however, manipulate inanimate objects and use them to facilitate death.

Gospel story of Jesus’ resurrection a

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

´8THEIST´ license plate in NJ: Why

If you can get a New Jersey vanity license plate that reads “BAPTIST,” why not one that reads “8THEIST”? That’s the question Shannon Morgan, a self-describe atheist, is asking in a lawsuit after the New Jersey department of motor vehicles denied her vanity plate application. Her main complaint is a bureaucracy deeming that “8THEIST” has connotations that offend “good taste and decency,” the bar which the state uses to judge the suitability of personalized plate messages. She also wants the state to adopt a more “viewpoint-neutral” vanity plate approval policy, since when she typed “BAPTIST” into the DMV application it

When Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she’s pregnant, it took the media about two nanoseconds to home in on what that really means: Hillary, should she run for president in 2016, will campaign as a grandmother. (Snip) And for another, Hillary’s newfound role as grandmother isn’t necessarily a political boon. As I wrote in the Washington Monthly’s current issue, it could very easily cut both ways. After all, Hillary, who will be 68 in 2016, already runs the risk of appearing old, a vulnerability not lost on her detractors. From the Monthly: (At sixty-six, Hillary is “not particularly old for

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. Guttman, a D.C. based caterer, worked with White House executive chef Cris Comerford

A new poll shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton´s (D) numbers hitting their lowest point in six years. Meanwhile, it finds that the Republican Party is experiencing something of a renaissance. The Fox News poll, from Democratic pollster Anderson Robbins Research and GOP pollster Shaw & Company, shows Clinton´s favorable rating dropping to 49 percent, compared to 45 percent unfavorable. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. Other polls have shown Clinton´s numbers --

DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. John Kefalas, D-Fort Collins, said he wasn’t sure if the measure was

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years.
