| The U.S. Labor Department has rustled up more taxpayer money to help "jobless workers" pay their health insurance premiums. "It is difficult enough to find new employment, let alone do so without health insurance for you or your family," Labor Secretary Hilda Solis said in a news release dated Dec. 26. "This funding will help eligible workers avoid that prospect by helping them pay for health insurance while they seek new jobs." The money -- in the form of a $1,058,254 National Emergency Grant supplement -- will go to several thousand unemployed people in Alabama, Delaware,

What does having, or not having health insurance have to do with seeking employment?
Would someone actually think to themselves: Gee, I´d like to look for a job, but I don´t have health insurance! Don´t want to leave the house for rear of my health!

Why the heck bother to look for work, or think about looking for work?
The Dem/Left government is turning these people into slugs.
More and more of our fellow citizens see nothing wrong or immoral or unpleasant, even, in taking the product of other people´s labor. In fact, more and more think they´re somehow justified, even deserving.
This is what the Left does best: it dehumanizes its subjects, enslaving them.

I will lose my health insurance Jan. 1 because the premiums have become too expensive. My premiums would actually be more than what I clear for a two week paycheck. I sure don´t see anyone stepping in and helping me with those premium payments. It literally boiled down to insurance vs grocery money. And I don´t get any "help" with grocery money either. I guess I should pray that I will actually be fired so I can get health care and food. Working is a losing preposition. And if nothing is done I will be paying even more in taxes next month. Wow, it´s good to live in America and have a job. I have just about had it.

You have to imagine those qualifying are laid off union thugs.Try applying for this yourself and see what it feels like getting a door slammed in your face.
the government has got to stop being everyone´s freaking nanny at other people´s expense. When you provide all these cushions,there´s no need to go back to work.A union thugs is insulted by $12 an hour so they´ll sit on their ass till the cows come home.
I´ll never forget a clip of a laid off fork truck operator who was making a 100K a year,literally bawling because he was working at Lowes for a measly $12 an hour. He was whining about the loss of vacation time also.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services says it wants as many as 20 percent of its workers to "telework," use an "alternative work schedule," or do both, in order to "reduce green house gas emissions," decrease "employee stress," and give these government workers more time for "planning and preparing healthy meals." So says one of the HHS "performance measures" detailed in an appendix to the department´s latest strategic plan. HHS´s performance measure "4.D.05" says: "Increase the percent employees on telework or on Alternative Work Schedule." Telework means working from home via phone and computer.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. He said it isn´t difficult to figure out who´s doing what at the agency.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable.
