Public Turns Gloomy,
Fearful as 2013 Approaches

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Mike Flynn

The holidays are traditionally a time where we renew our optimism about the future. Gatherings with friends and family, festive meals and sparkling decorations are all powerful elixirs to the wear-and-tear of daily life. A new ABC/WaPo poll, however, shows that this year the holiday spirit is powerless to boost the public´s mood. Almost half of Americans, in fact, are fearful about their own lives in the new year. 44% of Americans report they are fearful about what the new year holds in store for their lives. It's the highest recording ever in the poll. At the start of the decade, just 16% of

We became fearful after the Nov 2008 election, Gloomey doesn´t begin to cover the feelings we have since the results of the Nov. 6th 2012 fraud

0bama does not have a clue when it comes to the economy; he himself presents an ignorant budget that no one will vote for, not even a democrat. The democrats have not passed a budget in four years; the democrats keep spending with no restraint. 0bama and the democrats really believe they can just tax the working people and business people and keep giving the money to the nonworking people. How long do you really believe this can go on before the whole system collapses?

They should be gloomy and they should have thought about this back on or around November 6th, the day of reckoning was sure to come, and the sad thing is that if everyone voted for another four years of this nightmare, was truly honest with themselves, they pretty much knew what was going to be the future! It was pretty much a no-brainer for the other half of the country...but now reality is setting in we finding out that gloom is the forecast for at least the next four years...let us pray for protection and strength!

Not sure why they´re fearful - most don´t pay taxes anyway but voted for the guy who will tax those of us who still pay taxes. Life should be just wonderful for the Obama voter.

Gloomy?

It´s gotta be that Mayan Cliff thingy.

It just won´t go away.

The actual factual and correct date was to be December 31st.
Oh... wait... that´s just next week!

No matter what horrible things happen to this country over the next 4 years -- and there will be many horrible things happening to this country over the next 4 years -- it will all be blamed on the Republicans.

NØbama will say it is the Republicans´ fault.

The MSM will declare it to be true 24/7/365.

All the braindead voters that re-elected NØbama will believe NØbama and the MSM, and will give the Demon-RATS control of the House in 2014.

Why do we even try to pretend the country didn´t die on November 6th, and is just waiting to finish rotting?!?!?

Washington Post, by Marc Fisher    Original Article

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Despite promises to the contrary, it appears that State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) voted on bills that affect her clients and favorably impact the bottom line of her law firm. “I have never done anything in a way that represents a conflict in my voting and something that would benefit me personally,” she said in an interview, but state records seem to tell a different story. The Dallas Morning News´ Senior Political Writer Wayne Slater (DMN) reported that Davis supported legislation governing a toll road project. That would be all well and good except for the fact that the

Democrats Lose Two More Special

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Nevada ranch standoff could leave

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

Democrats settle on fairness

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

On a trip to Moscow early in her tenure as secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton played the role of international saleswoman, pressing Russian government officials to sign a multibillion-dollar deal to buy dozens of aircraft from Boeing. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Three people were shot and killed Sunday afternoon in suburban Kansas City, and a spokeswoman for a local hospital said a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition. Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center. Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day."
