| The holidays are traditionally a time where we renew our optimism about the future. Gatherings with friends and family, festive meals and sparkling decorations are all powerful elixirs to the wear-and-tear of daily life. A new ABC/WaPo poll, however, shows that this year the holiday spirit is powerless to boost the public´s mood. Almost half of Americans, in fact, are fearful about their own lives in the new year. 44% of Americans report they are fearful about what the new year holds in store for their lives. 0bama does not have a clue when it comes to the economy; he himself presents an ignorant budget that no one will vote for, not even a democrat. The democrats have not passed a budget in four years; the democrats keep spending with no restraint. 0bama and the democrats really believe they can just tax the working people and business people and keep giving the money to the nonworking people. How long do you really believe this can go on before the whole system collapses?

They should be gloomy and they should have thought about this back on or around November 6th, the day of reckoning was sure to come, and the sad thing is that if everyone voted for another four years of this nightmare, was truly honest with themselves, they pretty much knew what was going to be the future! It was pretty much a no-brainer for the other half of the country...but now reality is setting in we finding out that gloom is the forecast for at least the next four years...let us pray for protection and strength!

Not sure why they´re fearful - most don´t pay taxes anyway but voted for the guy who will tax those of us who still pay taxes. Life should be just wonderful for the Obama voter.

The Obama administration has no business rummaging through journalists’ phone records, perusing their e-mails and tracking their movements in an attempt to keep them from gathering news. This heavy-handed business isn’t chilling, it’s just plain cold. It also may well be unconstitutional. In my reading, the First Amendment prohibition against “abridging the freedom .?.?. of the press” should rule out secretly obtaining two months’ worth of the personal and professional phone records of Associated Press reporters and editors, including calls to and from the main AP phone number at the House press gallery in the Capitol
