The president’s Obama-centric
view of the world

Washington Post, by Ed Rogers

While the media focuses almost exclusively on tax increases and blaming Republicans, the prospect of achieving real solutions to our economic problems and doing anything about government overspending has completely fallen off the radar. Equally underreported but vital to any analysis of what is possible is the apparent state of mind of the president in this current crisis, and his overall approach to his second term. The president said three revealing things in his last two press conferences that say much about his state of mind. His own ego and arrogance are on vivid display,

As we wait for the rest of the country to catch up with what we already know about Mr. Obama, from the WaPo, there is this cold shower:

The president said, Republicans have “got to take me out of it and think about their voters and think about what´s best for the country.” To the president, it is resentment of him that keeps others from doing what he says, not legitimate concerns about what his plans will do to the economy and America´s future.

Welcome home. Wish you´d have figured this all out before his first election, like we did, but we´ll take it. It IS all about him. He wants his face on Mt. Rushmore but he also wants all the other faces carved off.

And at the end of the day, he doesn´t seem to care much or want to apply any personal energy to solving our problems.

"..seem to care"? Isn´t it obvious there´s no "seem" about this? Has he done anything except stir racial and class rivalry, play golf, go on comedy shows, eat, fly on AF1 on his myriad vacations and read from teleprompters the things others have written?

This isn´t an active, engaged POTUS; others like Valerie Jarrett and the other communists in his Administration are doing the damage to America he will never get blamed for. This is a POTUS who, as Mr. Rogers astutely noted, believes the world rises and sets on his arse and if you don´t go along with him, it is you who are out of step.

When this fall comes, and it always does, it will be the fall heard ´round the world, an object lesson that pride does indeed go before a fall.

Anyone else who exhibited these personality traits would be forced to undergo psychotherapy. Instead we have (thanks to the food-stamp electorate) 4 more years of this to endure.

I think Ed Rogers is giving the President the benefit of the doubt. That line screams to me that if you won´t do it my way its because you´re racist.

It´s not you, Obie, nor the color of your skin but your policies.... your spending in particular at this point in time.

D´rats in congress and the enemedia are of one with the One. The Bush tax cuts for the rich they blame for anything. Junk loans, high unemployment, heartburn, shingles and flat feet. Now comes the prospect of paying taxes of the golden Clinton years and it´s a fiscal cliff. Volksverdummen is now in full force and effect.

Our narcissist in chief is not concerned about the cliff because he intentionally and methodically drove us to the top of the cliff and will benefit greatly by our plunge. The dems motto remains, "Never let a good crisis go to waste!" Financial collapse, hurricanes, anarchy in the streets, dead children, a shooter at the mall....it´s all useful in their plan to remove our personal freedom and instate even more government control.

Impeach Obama now. Then have a trial in the Senate with all sorts of evidence to put out and let them acquit him. Then, impeach him again on another charge....have another Senate trial.
Impeach Ruth Bader Ginsberg...go through the whole thing again and again and again with different officials.

I think that all of zippy´s destructive actions are rooted in his hatred of his white mother who abandoned him repeatedly and then left him to be raised by his white grandparents. But isn´t it telling that he doesn´t blame the black father he only met once?

He´s a very sick little man who is using his own anger to stir up racial conflict all across our country. It´s frightening to think what Tarantino´s "kill all the white people" movie may incite in the black community - those who have suffered most under zippy yet blame us "crackers" for their problems.

I´ve been predicting a race war here for 30 years. I don´t think we´ll be waiting much longer for things to explode and I fear that Django Unchained could be the spark.

I´m still upset over the Republicans lack of planning, cohesiveness and commitment to win the 2012 elections. They thought it would be a walk in the park. But they were fooled by the Dems who were more committed to winning by saying and doing whatever it takes. What did the GOP expect from this group? Even though he´s arrogant and has a big ego, he didn´t get complacent but went full trottle in his reelection campaign. Obama is a incompetent ruthless, coward with no leadership abilities. He´s a 50% potus with an attitude but he won.

First of all, they need to trim down the primary debates as well as the primary elections to no more than three dates total. That´s it.
Also, they should start working with various demograhic groups to set up "Get out to vote" right now.

I don´t think the Republicans ever came back together after Romney finally captured the votes to become the standard bearer. Romney´s advisers were bad retreads, too. From now on the Republican candidate should not look to any advisers of a previous losing candidate. Romney should have let his sons take charge. They really had a vested interest - the advisers that were from the McCain failed campaign really didn´t have that much to lose. They will just find another candidate to promote.

Dear God. We really are here aren´t we? By allowing the few sniviling to have so much power by "being nice" we have given up our country, everything.

I actually feel bad that after getting injured at work, having three back surgeries, over 18 ( I´ve lost count) injections, multiple times in PT, I have to go on disability. I´ve tried. God Himself knows I´ve tried to carry on, but I just cannot any longer drive 2-3 hours a day. I´ve worked since I was nine years old and have been paying into SS since I was 14. Please, dear friends, do not lump everyone into one bucket of "users", "takers", etc.. I hate having to finally "give in". Hopefully, I will still be able to give something to my fellow patriots, Americans. I have an art dealer nearby who is interested in representing my paintings.

The gist of all this is that I dearly love my (our) country and it truly causes me pain to see where we are. Will we have to physically divide this nation? We´ve already been psycologically divided more than ever before IMO. All I can do now is pray and prepare. I caught something over Christmas and am home trying to get over it.... perhaps the reason for the gloom I´m feeling.

0´s position on homosexuality in the military, in our schools, in our children´s education is all about him.

Poster #17´s mention of 0´s anger at his white mother for abandoning him to his white grandparents also should mention his black biological father, Frank Marshall Davis, Communist and known pedophile/pornographer.

While we´re assigning blame for the election, NEVER FORGET the back-stabbing Ron Paul who took Republicans´ time in the debates, provided constant irritation, and then took his toys and went home. Then his supporter speaking to me (Gary Johnson voter) told me, "See the Republicans now know they needed Ron Paul." I´m so sick of their whining that they were to mistreated. The Ron Paul section of the party needs to be addressed.
