| You really would need to have a heart harder than the five-pence piece in the Christmas pud not to feel sorry at present for Professor Richard Dawkins. Christmas must be such a terrible trial for the planet’s most celebrated--and angriest--atheist. All that cheerfulness and pleasure associated with Christianity’s main celebration seems to drive him simply nuts. Indeed, just a few days ago he lunged into yet another wild denunciation of religious faith. This time, the Chief Inquisitor of Unbelief declared that raising a child as a Catholic was worse than subjecting it to sexual abuse. His view of religion is

What about raising little boys and girls to be Muslims? He has nothing to say about that! Muslim mothers watch their little sons at play, and one says to the other "they blow up so fast" .

Enough is enough! The atheists are the most intolerant religion (next to Islam, of course) and I for one have had enough.
We don´t bother you. You can damn well not bother us with your bs life choices.

Wow. Dawkins has a real gift -- after reading this piece I almost miss Hitch...
It´s tempting to wish eternal hellfire on him for such derisive hyperbole against religion. But it´s possible his derangement blinds him to the true nature of his words and deeds. So maybe, "forgive him, for he knows not what he does" may be more fitting.
(Oh, and for the final time, I didn´t say anything about how Dawkins putts -- I said he IS one...)

I wonder which he would rather experience: rape or someone blathering on about the aferlife. Wonder if he was traumatized as a little boy by some creep spouting scripture as he had his way with the little twerp?

Why do Leftists hate Christmas?
Because they see the joy it brings people, the generosity, the charity, the astonishing acts of kindness and decency....
They see people of many races and creeds interacting in peace, harmony and good will....
They see the holiday being celebrated in more nations, in more diverse ways, than any other holiday on earth....
They see the unparalleled beauty Christmas has inspired in art and music....
....and it THREATENS them.
After all, what has atheism inspired, aside from totalitarian governments populated by those who view mankind as little more than cattle to be managed by their betters?
When have atheists ever promoted "peace on earth" or "good will to men?"
NEVER.
I pity Dawkins. The joy we experience is a joy he rejects out of his pathetic, egotistical need to feel superior to everyone around him.
Merry Christmas, Richard! Untwist those panties, put a smile on your face, pick up an Angel Tree card and make an orphan´s day....
....and maybe you´ll begin to get the picture.
But probably not.

If Dawkins says this, one has to wonder what he thinks of child sex abuse.

Having switched sides in the Christian/atheist argument, I´ve noticed that neither side really has a clue about the actual beliefs or motives of the other.
Take #7 -- most atheists block all that stuff out as irrelevant to the issue. What does it matter how many good things come out of something if it´s fraudulent to begin with? All they see when they look at religion is organized oppression through brainwashing and superstition, and a lot blame religion for most wars, slavery, and a host of other historical woes.
And for some, their cynicism about religion stems from knowing or seeing practitioners who don´t seem to believe what they say, and who don´t practice what they preach. We who are very imperfect at living what we proclaim become an obstacle to their belief, by reducing the perceived credibility of those beliefs through less-than-Christian words and deeds.

Christians are willing to die for the cause of spreading the good news Gospel of Jesus Christ. Are atheists, or homos, or liberals so inspired? No, they´re not.

Dawkins´ defense of atheism is about as convincing as his defense of evolution. That is, to say, it´s not convincing at all. This pathetic misanthrope has essentially been repeating himself with the same tired (and convincingly refuted) cliches for several decades. It´s about time he gets a new schtick to keep himself relevant.

The Sunday Telegraph can disclose that Michael Adebolajo was held by police close to the Somali border with a band of "radicalised" Muslim youths who wanted to join the notorious al-Shabaab group. He was deported to Britain after he appeared in court in Mombasa in November 2010. Two months previously the head of MI5 had warned that Britons were training in Somalia and it was "only a matter of time before we see terrorism on our streets inspired by those who are today fighting alongside al-Shabaab". It also emerged that the other suspect in the soldier’s murder, Michael Adebowale

A uniformed French soldier on anti-terrorist duties in Paris had his throat cut by a knife-wielding man tonight. The savage attack follows the murder of a British soldier by two men using weapons including knives and a meat cleaver. One of the suspects said they were acting in the name of Islam. Today there were fears that the Paris attack was a copy-cat crime and that a radical Muslim might once more be responsible. French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said he believes the attack was aimed to kill the soldier. French president Francois Hollande said authorities were investigating any

Barack Obama announced an end to America’s war on terror last week. In future, he declared, he would restrict the unmanned drone attacks that had been his own signature anti-terrorist initiative, and he would really, really make an effort to shut down the prison camp at Guantánamo Bay--as he had promised to do way back when he was running for president the first time. Presumably, this pronouncement was designed to win back the favour of the liberal media, which has been energetically disowning him ever since his administration staggered into the most spectacular series of Washington scandals since Watergate.

There has been a sixth night of rioting in Sweden´s capital, Stockholm, despite police reinforcements being deployed. Cars were set alight in poor suburbs inhabited largely by immigrants, although the unrest was reportedly not as serious as on previous nights. The rioting also spread outside the capital for the first time on Friday, with youths torching vehicles and buildings in two towns. [Snip] It is believed they were sparked by the death of an elderly man nearly a week before, who was shot by police after he allegedly threatened to kill them with a machete.

The leader of the Lebanese Shia militant Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, has promised his supporters victory in Syria, where his fighters are backing President Bashar al-Assad. Mr Nasrallah said Hezbollah would stay in the conflict till the end. Syrian rebels in the besieged town of Qusair say they are under heavy bombardment from Hezbollah combatants. The town is close to the Lebanese border, a conduit for both the government and rebels to get weapons. [Snip] He said his movement could never be aligned with Syrian rebels who, in his view, were supported by the United States and Israel.

One of the men suspected of murdering a soldier in Woolwich, south-east London, was detained by police two months ago, Sky News has been told. Local shopkeepers say Michael Adebowale was part of a group of Muslim activists who had been reported to police several times. They were told the authorities were aware of him. It comes as a preliminary report into what the intelligence services knew about Adebowale and his fellow suspect Michael Adebolajo is set to be handed over to an inquiry next week. Sir Malcolm Rifkind, chairman of the parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee, said he had

Hundreds of German football fans fought with each other today ahead of tonight´s Champions League final at Wembley. [Snip] More than 150,000 fans of both clubs have descended on the capital for club football´s biggest game, with many gathering in central London this afternoon. The YouTube footage appears to have been taken outside Wembley and shows fans initially goading each other after getting off coaches. Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

WASHINGTON —In a dramatic departure from existing White House procedures, President Obama requested today that his staff start cc’ing him on stuff. “Look, I know a lot of you think I’m really busy and you don’t want to bother me,” the President reportedly told his staff in an Oval Office meeting. “But cc me anyway. It’s good for me to keep up on what’s going on around here.” “It’s not good when I turn on the news and they’re talking about something at the White House and I’m like, whoa, when did that happen?”

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have reversed their longstanding membership guidelines to allow homosexuals to join the organization. In an email to CNSNews.com, the BSA public affairs office said the vote on the resolution to “remove the restriction denying membership to youth on the basis of sexual orientation alone” was passed with 61.44 percent in favor and 38.56 percent opposed. “For 103 years, the Boy Scouts of America has been a part of the fabric of this nation, with a focus on working together to deliver the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training,”

Abuse Of Power: Any scandal investigation that expects a "Eureka!" moment, a White House e-mail, or Oval Office smoking gun will be misguided. In fact, the dots are already connected directly to the president. Barack Obama is not foolish enough to have a tape recording system hidden in his desk. And his administration staff are not careless enough to send one another incriminating e-mails. If the president was behind the IRS unlawfully harassing conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status, we can be sure the communications were all sotto voce and in persona, like any good Chicago political operator.

A Washington state Democrat is accusing Republicans of “throwing American infrastructure … under the bus” after a bridge collapse there this week. The portion of Interstate 5 in Washington that runs over the Skagit River collapsed on Thursday after a truck hit an overhead support structure, but Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) cited the incident in an interview as proof Republicans were blocking infrastructure investment to hurt President Obama politically. “Well, they have clearly spent the whole last five years trying to tear the president down, but they have done it by throwing the American infrastructure and
