| It is now official. Last week, President Obama nominated John Kerry to succeed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, saying Kerry’s ”entire life has prepared him for this role.” He further contended that Kerry’s service as a Vietnam veteran taught him the “responsibility to use American power wisely, especially our military power.” That assessment may come as a shock to the thousands of Vietnam veterans whose reputations Kerry trashed in order to advance his own radical political agenda. Remarkably, outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, unable to attend the nominating ceremony due to her continuing effort to dodge testimony

America expects nothing better than this sort of disgrace from Zippy´s Marxist dictatorship. In fact, Kerry fits right in.
Another post this morning claims we´ve all been duped by the Dems in this election. Wrong. We knew who they are and what they´d being doing to us all along. But we have yet to get over it.

FTA: When the fog of political expediency is penetrated, Kerry’s fellow senators face a simple choice: they can either demonstrate respect and loyalty for America’s fighting forces, or one of their own.
I think we already know what will happen in the Senate. When they won´t do their Constitutional duty and pass a budget for three years, how can we expect them to do the right thing and reject a SOS candidate whose long history is that of a champion for America´s enemies?

In addition to smearing his fellow soldiers with testimony which was later proven false, Kerry also took part in an "anti-war" meeting where the assassination of United States Senators was discussed and voted on.
This man is a traitor. He´s an America-hating lunatic who cannot be trusted. If you hear John Kerry claiming to have the American Soldier´s back, you can bet he has a knife in his hand and he´s making random stabbing motions.

This time of year, as college students return home for the summer, many parents may notice how many politically correct ideas they have acquired on campus. Some of those parents may wonder how they can undo some of the brainwashing that has become so common in what are supposed to be institutions of higher learning. The strategy used by General Douglas MacArthur so successfully in the Pacific during World War II can be useful in this very different kind of battle. General MacArthur won his victories while minimizing his casualties --

"You had to be underground," The Weather Channel´s Mike Bettes put it, "in order to survive this tornado." He was not exaggerating. The massive storm that hit Moore, Oklahoma yesterday -- featuring winds up to 200mph -- didn´t simply put those aboveground at risk of being swept up in its funnel. The tornado also took the smallest objects of everyday life -- down to pebbles and even dust -- and effectively converted them into bullets and shrapnel. Much of the carnage that so often results from tornadoes is the result of a terrible phenomenon known by an appropriately terrible

This will come as a shock to those who believe the only significant news in recent weeks has been the Benghazi, IRS and AP/Fox News intimidation scandals, but there have been some significant developments on other issues. Consider the May 14 "Dear Colleague" letter by Republican Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and John McCain and Jeff Flake of Arizona. One sentence in particular stands out: "We, therefore, are notifying you of our intention to object to the consideration of any legislation that fails to meet any

Conservatives and Republicans would be unwise to pursue President Obama´s impeachment as my colleague Bruce Walker today argues. The odds are the effort would backfire, and there is a much more important goal that should be at the center of our political strategy: sweeping Democrats out of office in 2014 and 2016 in numbers sufficient to enact structural reforms, including replacement of the tax system and junking the IRS and outlawing public employee unions. President Obama is handing his opponents the means, if only they have the wit to pursue the bigger goal.

The battle lines are drawn for the November election in Virginia, with Democrats seeking to portray the GOP ticket that emerged from the party’s state convention this weekend as “extreme” and “all Tea Party, all the time.” (Snip) Now Democrats think they can discredit E. W. Jackson, the minister and lawyer the GOP nominated for lieutenant governor after four ballots this weekend. He told delegates on Saturday he was “not an African American, but an American” and vowed to “get the government off our backs, off our property, out of our families, out of our health care

Representative Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, says President Barack Obama may face impeachment over his administration’s response to the Benghazi attack. (Snip) Chaffetz’s tension with the White House has been building for months, ever since he took a fact-finding trip to Libya last October, less than a month after the terrorist attack. During that visit, he huddled with several U.S. diplomats, including Gregory Hicks, a former deputy chief of the Libya mission. But the heavy-handed tactics of the president’s advisers, he complains, sullied his investigation from the start.

Editor’s Note: Last week, Jay Nordlinger attended the Oslo Freedom Forum, the annual human-rights conference held in the Norwegian capital. I have a friend named Mileydi Fougstedt, who’s a Cuban journalist resident in Stockholm. Her first name is pronounced pretty much like “m’lady.” So when you’re speaking to her, you feel like you’re speaking to a high-class Englishwoman. (Snip) One of the speakers here is the prime minister of Tibet — the democratically elected prime minister of Tibet. I’m speaking, of course, of what’s called the “Central Tibetan Administration”: Tibet’s government-in-exile, located in Dharamshala, India.

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

While many Americans were tuned into news coverage of the massive damage from tornadoes ravaging the state of Oklahoma, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse took to the Senate floor to rail against his Republican colleagues for denying the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Whitehouse spent 15 minutes chastising GOP senators and justified his remarks by alluding to states that seek federal assistance in the wake of natural disasters. “So, you may have a question for me,” Whitehouse said. “Why do you care? Why do you, Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, care
