The world´s largest firearms dealer says it has sold 3.5 years of magazines for the gun used by the Sandy Hook killer in just three days. And now they are struggling to meet the demand. Brownells president Pete Brownell made a public apology to gun owners for the delay in fulfilling orders of assault weapon magazines, explaining that the company had experienced ´unprecedented´ demand for AR-15 ammunition magazines in the last three days.[Snip]´I wanted to take a minute to shed some insight on the magazine situation if i can. If anything sends a message about the Second Amendment, this does. (And the many other reports of extraordinarily high sales volume serve to confirm its veracity.)

I thought I read that the rifle was left in the killers car. I could be wrong but that wouldn´t fit the "assault rifle" narrative then would it?....no.

There´s a gun show in our area this weekend. Looks like we´d better be there when it opens on Friday afternoon......

Dear Daily Mail [UK] Staff:

These are not assault weapons. They are not automatic. They are ordinary rifles that are made to LOOK different. OK, they´re a little scarier, more militaristic.

But they are NOT automatic - not since the 30´s - and they are not made for assault. They shoot no different than any other long gun.

So, do a little research on your own - it took me 35 seconds yesterday - and stop misleading the world on what you think is going on over here.

Our Second Amendment is designed to protect our citizenry from the tyrannical government our Founders left behind (in YOUR country, I believe!). It´s what keeps a free people, free. The rest of our Bill of Rights and Constitution are rendered meaningless without the Second Amendment to protect them.

And so it will remain.

´Out of our cold dead hands.´

Pick-up a Glock 27 in .40 caliber! A great carry piece. Very accurate and with plenty of punch!

Agree #1. But the term Assault Rifle carries such gravitas for the left (and the uninformed).

This shows what the American populace thinks about gun control, magazine bans, and other such feel-good do nothing laws.

As far as ´confiscate them´ Cuomo, Molon Labe (Come take them)!!

I too read reports that stated that the rifle remained in the car, and that the killer had a Sig Sauer and a Glock with him.
Pretty awkward, killing oneself with a rifle !

Notice that the left does not talk about "assault rifles" anymore, they now talk about "assault weapons" that they define as any semi-automatic handgun or rifle that can "possibly" hold a clip or magazine containing more then 10 rounds of ammunition. Those are the firearms that the left now has their sights on to ban, such a ban would therefore encompass just about every modern defensive firearm produced and sold in America today.

If that were to happen the left would also be wiping out most of the US small arms and associated industries as they exist in America today, as those industries could not survive depending on diminishing military small arms contracts in the future. That would mean that thousands more well paying US jobs in those industries would also disappear.

A concealable .45, like a Kimber, is the best concealed carry defense. One, or two shots at the most, is all that´s needed!

Ha! Like I would be interested in the opinion about my country from a lost country like Britain. Not likely.Their people are so helpless now and the foreigners, all militant and very anti-British, have crushed their freedoms to death- and all they can now do about it is whimper.

Just to be a little more accurate, Brownell´s is one of the world´s largest mail order firearms parts and accessory dealers. They do not sell complete firearms per se.

There has been a sixth night of rioting in Sweden´s capital, Stockholm, despite police reinforcements being deployed. Cars were set alight in poor suburbs inhabited largely by immigrants, although the unrest was reportedly not as serious as on previous nights. The rioting also spread outside the capital for the first time on Friday, with youths torching vehicles and buildings in two towns. [Snip] It is believed they were sparked by the death of an elderly man nearly a week before, who was shot by police after he allegedly threatened to kill them with a machete.

The leader of the Lebanese Shia militant Hezbollah movement, Hassan Nasrallah, has promised his supporters victory in Syria, where his fighters are backing President Bashar al-Assad. Mr Nasrallah said Hezbollah would stay in the conflict till the end. Syrian rebels in the besieged town of Qusair say they are under heavy bombardment from Hezbollah combatants. The town is close to the Lebanese border, a conduit for both the government and rebels to get weapons. [Snip] He said his movement could never be aligned with Syrian rebels who, in his view, were supported by the United States and Israel.

Local shopkeepers say Michael Adebowale was part of a group of Muslim activists who had been reported to police several times. They were told the authorities were aware of him. It comes as a preliminary report into what the intelligence services knew about Adebowale and his fellow suspect Michael Adebolajo is set to be handed over to an inquiry next week. HANAHAN--The U.S. Naval Brig is once again being mentioned as a leading alternative to put terror detainees on trial after President Barack Obama this week rekindled his push to shut down the terror-suspect holding site at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. “I once again call on Congress to lift the restrictions on detainee transfers from Gitmo,” he said. “I have asked the Department of Defense to designate a site in the United States where we can hold military commissions.” Speculation immediately re-focused on the brig at Charleston as a leading choice where some of the 166 detainees could go on trial.

Proudly marching through the streets of York with cheers ringing in their ears, the men and women of 2nd Signal Regiment--recently returned from Afghanistan--were greeted by thousands of people lining the streets to welcome them home. In the hours after the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby by alleged Islamist terrorists in Woolwich, south-east London, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defence had advised servicemen and women not to go out in uniform--an order that was promptly ignored by soldiers who refused to be cowed and almost immediately rescinded. 300 members of the Armed Forces were cheered by well-wishers who waved

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
