| Two blog posts today should shred the credibility of Meet the Press´s David Gregory in making arguments for gun control and against appropriate armed staff or security personnel at schools -- or they would, if journalists had the least bit of interest in exposing lawbreaking and hyprocritical behavior by their professional colleagues. During the show, as reported at the Patriot Perspective, relaying a point first brought out by a member of the AR15.com forum site, Gregory "decided to wave around a 30-round AR-15 magazine" in direct violation of the District of Columbia "DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines"

No matter what the NRA says they will be mocked.
Not not give the job to returning vets instead of a rent a cop ?
Schools in this state have community service police officers in them already and nobody cares.

At the insistence of this Administration, the MSM is participating in Alinskyism by choosing targets and marginalizing them.
How many targets does the Left now attack, all at the same time? Let´s see. Here´s a short list of targets:
Christianity, religious liberty in general except for Islam, private property, lawful gun owners and the NRA, small businesses, the oil industry, the wealthy (anyone not on welfare), insurance companies, banks, doctors and hospitals, inventors, innovators, medical equipment manufacturers and developers, non-union employees, school choice proponents, pro-lifers, the Tea Party, the Republican Party, the Courts, white people, the Constitution, the auto industry (except for "green" cars) the coal industry, taxpayers, the fast food industry, Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio, Fox News, the Internet, America´s currency, WalMart, Israel, Chick-Fil-A....
Have I missed anyone?

I resent being instructed and lectured about gun rights and gun laws by snotty television personalities who employ large guards armed with very large weapons; and who send their children to schools with a security department that employs eleven more large men armed with large weapons.
Until you live the life or ordinary people, David, keep your big mouth shut about what gun laws we need and which gun laws we enforce.

Why is anyone surprised by this?
I´d be more interested in how Wayne LaPierre reacted. I don´t watch NBC anything any more, and I just don´t have the true desire to go looking for this answer myself.
I hope he at least made it clear that the AR in the AR-15´s stands for Armalite, the company that makes these rifles, and NOT ´assault rifle´ or ´automatic rifle´. Can he do even that?
And did he convey that these rifles (which is all they are ... no different in function and operation than any other rifle - they just LOOK different) - that these rifles do NOT rapid-fire with each trigger pull? One pull, one shot. They are not machine guns.
Did he do even that much?

Gregory, a member of the DC elite, sends his children to ultra exclusive Sidwell Friends. Chelsea Clinton and the Obama girls attend. Gregory´s children are safe there, as the school has a security force of 11. David Gregory and Obama aren´t stuck in failing DC metro schools like poor black children of the DC inner city. Another member of the cocktail party circuit who doesn´t want the rest of us to have what he has.

It´s not new that reporters and celebrities go before cameras to proclaim the evil of gun ownership, while they personally hire armed personnel for themselves and their family members. Who can forget loudmouth Rosie O´Donnell as she demeaned all gun owners in 1999 .... until she was silenced while having to admit that she employed personal armed guards for her children! .... I also recall when Charlton Heston, then the president of NRA, told the story of a Hollywood anti-NRA friend who asked Heston for a gun.
These people view themselves as above the law, but then .... so does the man chose as president.

By 22 January 2013, about 23,720 more signatures are needed! We just signed it!
There are other petitions there that need signing, for example, a petition to stop anti-gun legislation.

It´s as if the Secular Progressives have infected this country with a creeping insanity. It´s spreading everywhere. The schools. The press. The church. The Government. Those infected are responsible for reelecting the worst, most anti-American President in history. It reminds me of how fascism and communism spread in the last century. And the American Constitution means nothing to the Progressive Marxists at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Nobody, I repeat, nobody will take my weapons from me without a fight.

An IRS supervisor working in Washington told congressional investigators that she personally reviewed applications from groups for tax-exempt status, in testimony that appears to show the agency’s scrutiny of conservative groups extended beyond the confines of the office in Cincinnati. Holly Paz, who was a supervisor in the Internal Revenue Service’s tax-exempt status division, indicated during an interview with congressional investigators that she did review such applications, but indicated that she believed “tea party” meant political advocacy in general — not necessarily conservative groups.

The Supreme Court ruled today in Arizona v. Inter Tribal Council that federal law does not allow states the option of requiring voters to prove they are American citizens when they register to vote. The National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA, or “Motor Voter”) creates a standardized national system for registering to vote in federal elections. It allows for registration three ways: (1) in person, (2) when you get your driver’s license, or (3) by mail. The Election Assistance Commission (EAC, created by a later federal law in 2002)

WASHINGTON — The National Security Agency sweeps up data on millions of cellphones and Internet communications under secret court orders. But as it mounts a rigorous defense of its surveillance, the agency has disclosed new details that portray its efforts as tightly controlled and limited in scope, while successful in thwarting potential plots. On Sunday, officials said that though the NSA is authorized to collect "geolocational" information that can pinpoint the location of callers, it chooses not to. A secret court order that was made public earlier

t looked bad last week, but it looks much, much worse now. The federal government has been spying and lying. The only comfort is that, apparently, it´s been largely incompetent at both: Nobody believes the lies, and the spying wasn´t even able to catch the Tsarnaev brothers. Not long ago, the Director of National Intelligence assured us that the federal government does not "wittingly" spy on Americans. That has turned out to be a lie. Perhaps a suddenly firearm-friendly President Obama can put in a good word for Jared Marcum. In April, Marcum, an eighth-grader at Logan Middle School in Logan, W. Va., was arrested when he refused to take off his NRA t-shirt. The New York Daily News reports: The clothing kerfuffle began when Marcum wore a shirt bearing the NRA’s logo and a hunting rifle. As he stood in line in the cafeteria, a teacher ordered him to either change shirts or turn it inside out. Marcum declined and was sent to the office, where an officer

Syria is turning out to be a sort of Spanish Civil War of our age, with Hezbollah and Iran playing the role of fascist Italy and Germany, and the Islamic nations and jihadists that of Stalin’s Russia, as the moderates disappear and the messy conflict becomes a proxy war for greater powers, with worse to come. There were always problems for the Obama administration intervening in Syria besides the usual bad/worse choices in the Middle East between authoritarianism and Islamic extremism and the president’s own preference for sonorous sermons rather than rapid action

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
