| Yes, everything is about Barack Obama. From the beginning, he has built his career on his own personal story, and the funeral service of former Hawaiian Senator Daniel Inouye at the National Cathedral on Friday apparently struck him as an opportune time to remind the world what that story was.(snip)The problem, however, is not just that Obama used the word "my" 21 times, "me" 12 times, and "I" 30 times in the course of telling his story, but rather that even at a funeral, he could not keep the story straight.

FTA -- "Post-re-election, reporters allow Obama to spin with impunity. They no longer seem worried that someone of the right will scoop them. They are confident that their media pals would ignore the scoop as well. They know that as long as they control the headlines, there can be no new Watergate -- and Obama is beginning to sense it, too."
To pick nits, when has it been otherwise with our clown POTUS?

It would probably be simpler to regard the individual using the name Barack Obama as a creative artist, a celebrity, and an entertainer, rather than as a politician in the usual sense. If one views him as a performer acting out the fantasy ideology of modern liberalism, and the current crop of Democrats as the chorus, matters begin to make sense. The contemporary liberal-Leftist establishment is putting on a show for people who want the world to be otherwise than it is really is, and whose objections to reality consist of the well-known and deplorable fact that it is not fair. Obama is best understood as the master of ceremonies at the Leftist cabaret. Strict adherence to the facts is not required for such a role. Indeed, such mundane veracity would interfere with the maintenance of the illusion. The truth for Obama and his fellow entertainers, as well as for their audience, fans, and groupies, is aesthetic and not literal. Obama tells his tales and weaves his narratives for their entertainment value and their value in maintaining suspension of disbelief.
Of course, the show cannot continue indefinitely. Reality will have its say in the end. That is why it could be a blessing in disguise that Obama was given an encore, clapped back onto stage by the audience, which does not yet comprehend that it is attending a show and not engaging with reality. Parts of the roof may have to fall in on them before they wake up.

Well, over here on the Mainland (in Kansas), the Watergate hearings were on during the day, not in the evening as I recall. My brothers and I spent a lot of time outdoors that summer due to this intrusion (we were kids) into our TV time. Our mother watched them, she had a particular dislike for Mr. Dean, but it was definitely during the daytime. Perhaps I´m a bit nitpicky, but can´t this guy just talk about the deceased? Obama: the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral.

#5 nails it. However, the unfortunate truth wil be this. When positive proof of the truth about his birthplace comes out, the media and the left will say, ´well, that just goes to show how meaningless natural born citizenship status is.´ And when his sexual orientation comes out, the same people will say, see, sexual orientation doesn´t matter.´

It´s possible they really didn´t have that much biography on the dear departed senator so they had to use fillers to kill time. I doubt Obama wrote this and his teleprompter scribbler worships the ground he walks on.
This is nothing new, he went on and on about how much he did in the Bin Laden knock off job, when we know he stopped the raid at least 3 other times out of fear it would backfire.

The Watergate hearings were indeed televised during the daytime. I was nearing the end of my freshman year in high school, and if the committee was in session, it was televised.
Years later, I would attend a speech by G. Gordon Liddy that he´d given at the University of Utah. Right from the start, Liddy mentioned the hearings, and added the reality check: that most of those in that college-age audience would probably far more upset that "Gilligan´s Island" had been preempted by the hearings.
Obama is a liar. Worse, he isn´t a very good liar, and yet the LeftMedia still can´t find the integrity to point out the constant lies he tells.

As a high school kid, I used to get upset by liars. My dad used to tell me to be patient. He used the old saying: "Give him enough rope and he´ll hang himself."
It seems to me that Obama has coils and coils of rope right now, but I don´t see any noose being made.
As #10 stated, he probably didn´t write the funeral story himself. I wouldn´t be surprised if Valerie Jarrett wrote it. I don´t think she has a shred of respect for any American history or traditions. Her loyalty, IMHO, is with Islamic Iran. Remember just before election day she said “After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time.”
Who are they paying back and for what? grr

Too bad that someone is not brave enough to confront Obama. It may not be today, but be assured that one day God Himself will challenge this man. Obama´s greatest fear will come upon him when he hears Jesus say - Depart from Me for I "never" knew you!
Obama still has time to change this marrative, but he alone must act in repentence and that is something he has not known thus far.
Pray for Obama - that he comes to the reality of God, His Son, His Holy Spirit.
Obama´s legacy thus far is not good for US or his own children.
Jesus came to set all sinners free "if" only they repent, change from their wicked way, allow God alone to love US as only He can - totally and eternally!
Again, pray that Obama bows before the only true King of kings and Lord of lords! In that expression of humility, he will be honored, but not by being proud/pompous.
We deserve what we have "until" we seek the King, just like the Wise Men, we need to come, just as we are, knowing God´s Love/Grace are ours if only we ask for it.
Pray for America!
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord. Amen

Stop letting him act like the bully and expose him as such.
Stop couching your words and say "he´s lied to me".

Hey, liberals! Obama thinks you are stupid. Yeah, he really does. He knew Benghazi was terrorism before he didn´t know it was terrorism. What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. Did Barack Obama in effect steal the election in 2012? It is impossible to know, of course, how matters would have played it if Americans had been told the truth about Benghazi. And what if the IRS had not hobbled conservative nonprofits (and therefore the movement) with extra scrutiny and consequent delay and expenses? But there can be no doubt that Obama helped himself by being able to claim that Al Qaeda was "on the run" and with an assist from Candy Crowley make Mitt Romney look bad on when he criticized Obama´s anti-terror policies.

The re-election of Barack Obama is the high water mark and the end of an era. The period 1960 to 2014 will go down in American history as the era of never-ending crusades leading to the decline and potential downfall of the United States. During this time frame America has been inundated with one cause after another. The essential civil rights movement and the tragically successful Viet Nam protests spawned numerous causes, among them: feminism, environmentalism, global warming, and gay rights. For each generation born after 1940 it has been a rite of passage

The Three Whistleblowers at the Benghazi hearing spoke softly, but with the emotional wallop of The Three Tenors. They told the truth, and it blasted like thunder through Obama´s tissue palace of lies. Listening to these strong, solemn men, I heard the sound of old America: a place of hardworking people who love their country and believe in something bigger than their own power. What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

It began in earnest last Friday. A flash mob of latte drinking, tofu eating media that has done its best to quell, rather than fan the flames of truth, turned on one of their own. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part
