The truth is that
politicians are telling lies

Was 2012 the year when the democratic world lost its grip on reality? Must we assume now that no party that speaks the truth about the economic future has a chance of winning power in a national election? With the results of presidential contests in the United States and France as evidence, this would seem to be the only possible conclusion. Any political leader prepared to deceive the electorate into believing that government spending, and the vast system of services that it provides, can go on as before – (snip) – was propelled into office virtually by acclamation.

Comments:
It seems that our problem with lying, deceptive politicians has become common in Western democracies. Severely restrict their benefits, institute term limits, pass the proposed amendment that requires politicians to abide by the same laws they enact...and maybe we will have made a start on returning America to a time when it was led by civil SERVANTS.

From the MagnaCarta on we have taken lessons from England. With respect, borne from their history of courage in the face of adversity,
they are making a mistake and trying valiantly to warn us. We have missed a chance, Romney was a good man-had it all- a beautiful family, financially secure, and a proven politician on the world stage. He attempted to include the Tea Party with the Ryan pick but failed to follow up with enlisting them in his quest.

The constitutional republic, the U.S.A., is dead. The cancer has devoured it. All hope is lost. We can´t pray, "God help us." for we, as a nation, have abandoned Him. Perhaps some bit of good will rise of of the ashes.

The poster tells us what we should do to correct the situation but does not explain to us how to do it when 57% of the population thinks our tyrant is doing great things for them.

I never cease to be amazed as intelligent people urge the impossible.

She´s right. What began as a banking crisis is now a political one. And it´s a full blown crisis and not simply a challenge because our politicians lie to get elected. We´re in deep doo doo because more than half of us believe the lies.

There was a time when the lies wouldn´t stand and mostly good people wouldn´t dare to utter them in the first place. Now the truth is shouted down and labeled hatred. Basic math is double plus ungood.

Main Street can´t print money.
Washington can.

Main Street lives below their means.
Washington can’t.

Main Street follows the Law
Washington BREAKS the Law.

Main Street tells the Truth.
Washington lies.
The Media lies.
Wall Street lies.

There have been ZERO cuts in government spending in decades.

Washington and the Media report that there are “cuts” in spending.
THEY LIE!

Reductions in the GROWTH of spending ARE NOT CUTS!
It’s more money! That’s why we have to borrow more.

When will America demand that..

Washington tells the Truth.
The Fed tells the Truth.
The POTUS tells the Truth
The House of Representatives tells the Truth
The Senate tells the Truth.
Wall Street tells the Truth
The Media tells the Truth.

Until that happens, we will continue to bankrupt our children’s financial future.

Mickey Rooney, Legendary Actor,
Dies at 93

Mickey Rooney, the pint-sized actor who was one of MGM’s giant box office attractions in the late ’30s and early ’40s, died on Sunday. He was 93. As adept at comedy as drama and an excellent singer and dancer, Rooney was regarded as the consummate entertainer. During a prolific career on stage and screen that spanned eight decades (“I’ve been working all my life, but it seems longer,” he once said), he was nominated for four Academy Awards and received two special Oscars, the Juvenile Award in 1939 (shared with Deanna Durbin) and one in 1983 for his body of work.

Vampires, nudists, snakes: Nobody

Last week, news broke that a congressional candidate in Gainesville had a secret pastime: impersonating vampires. And superheroes. Some people would call this nutty. In Florida, we just call it Tuesday. Seriously, that´s not even our highest-profile vampire story. Remember the "vampire killings" from Lake County? Some of our stories are heartbreakingly tragic. But so many are also mind-numbingly strange. In Florida, we do weird the way Kansas does wheat. Here, giant pet snakes escape. And breed. And then invade our national parks. We have fish that eat people, alligators that eat people and people who eat people.

One of the latest tools targeting the growing problem of texting while driving didn´t come out of Apple, Google or Microsoft. It was the brainchild of two Orlando-area entrepreneurs who recently launched a new mobile app called Txt Shield. The idea behind Txt Shield, which runs on Android phones, is to short-circuit any texting capability when people are cruising down the highway, according to brothers Philip and Geoffrey Stiles, co-founders and partners in Txt Shield LLC. Parents can install it on their teens´ phones; employers can put it on company-issued phones; and individuals can download it to help resist the urge to

President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security caught then released 68,000 aliens who had previously been convicted of a crime, a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies shows. The report, provided to Breitbart News ahead of its late Sunday evening release, reviews internal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) metrics to conclude that the Obama administration released 35 percent—or 68,000—convicted criminal aliens back into the U.S. general population when they could have been deported. (Snip) In response to these findings from CIS that follow up on his office’s report last week, Sessions said immigration law in America has essentially ceased to

San Jose, Calif. — A usually busy DMV office in San Jose was closed Friday after a motorist waiting to take a driver´s test crashed her car into the building and caused a gas leak. The driver declined to give her name but told KTVU she was nervous about taking the driver´s license tests because this would have been her third try. Around noon the line started to move but she said she hit the accelerator instead of the brake and rammed a motorcycle rider in front of her. Then, she said she swerved to try to avoid running over the rider and

Obama on undocumented Irish:
Our immigration system is broken
Irish Examiner, by Staff    Original Article

President Obama says the thousands of Irish immigrants in the US are being denied opportunities because of the US strict immigration laws. The President was speaking the traditional Shamrock ceremony at the White House as part of the St Patrick´s Day celebrations. The issue of immigration reform was a priority for the Irish Government delegation, led by Enda Kenny. The delegation has been lobbying in Washington during the St Patrick´s Day trip for reforms to benefit the 50,000 undocumented Irish there. President Obama said too many undocumented Irish were denied the chance to contribute to society as they were not able to pay taxes

These are the 634 runways where the missing Malaysia Airlines plane could have landed after a potential hijacking. Today Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said investigators believe flight MH370´s disappearance is the result of ´deliberate action´ by someone on the plane. During a dramatic press conference, he said satellite evidence showed the aircraft´s transponder was turned off and it change direction shortly before it vanished. After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too
