Obama and family arrive in
Hawaii for Christmas

KAILUA, Hawaii- President Barack Obama and his family have arrived in Honolulu to spend Christmas in Hawaii, where the president was born and raised. Air Force One touched down in Honolulu minutes after midnight local time on Saturday. The first family departed the plane and traveled quickly to their vacation house in the beach town of Kailua, a scenic, sleepy beach town on the east side of Oahu. Kailua is roughly 12 miles from downtown Honolulu. Obama´s vacation house sits near a Marine base, on the north end of a five-mile stretch of beach popular among windsurfers and paddle surfers.

Oh good! More shots of them in my Match magazine, showing what a normal family they are, avoiding all that Christian stuff.

So glad he can take his well-deserved vacation, after so ably taking care of our country´s financial crisis! I can now make my tax planning intelligently, and can finish my estate planning, knowing precisely what the estate tax will be. s/o

The whole bunch needs to be fired for incompetence and dereliction of duty. Now they´ll come back after Christmas, do a little patch to push things forward a few months, and we sucker taxpayers will once again have to deal with total unknowns and uncertainties.

I do hope flapears and the linebacker enjoy their costly unnecessary vacation on the islans. He and his dumb family have a wonderful time on our dollars and I am just dying to see the family surf boarding and swimming with the sharks. Would be too bad if something bad happened. Sharks do not care what they eat.

The media have gone decades without revealing they are on Air Force One as well (or in a trailing plane). In many cases the reporters´ families are along.

It´s a dog and pony show.

The big difference here is that Mitt would not have gone but if he did it would have been on his own dime.

´Obama’s round-trip flight to Hawaii on Air Force One is estimated to be the largest expense associated with the vacation. According to the Air Force, it apparently costs $181,757 per flight hour to run the nation’s most secure (and probably its most lavish) aircraft. Thus, the total for the nine-hour trip from Washington to Hawaii and then back again will come in at $3,271,611.´

How many armed guards for schools in CT could that buy? Hmm.

Someone should have edited that opening sentence to read more truth:where the president was not born and only partly raised.Insert: he may later visit Mombasa, Kenya, his birthplace.

It´s going to be two round trips - he said that he´d be going back to D.C. next week and then undoubtedly back to Hawaii a second time. Meanwhile, the flight crews and security people are missing Christmas with their families. I despise Ø more and more with each passing day.

AF 1 is being rode hard and put away wet.
This excessive travel is going to require maintainance on everything on and in that plane, which we have the privilege of paying for too.
Talk about frequent flyer miles!

The entire cost of the presidency last year was 1.4 billion, divide by 365, equals 3,8 million PER DAY. No matter where urkel is or what he is doing.

Meanwhile the small forest of Christmas trees in the White House will be disassembled by the White House Christmas Decorators Union. They will work overtime { standard procedure} repacking half a million dollars of historic ornaments, some of which will just disappear. Then they will draw unemployment until early December of 2013

I recall that back during Jimmy Carters presidency, he canceled the 747 transition, because it was too costly.
Two presidents, in my memory, have squandered large amounts of taxpayer money on their various vacations - Bill Clinton, and the Kenyan Klown.
But I ask this question - am I the only one who does not want to read anything about President Zero and his family? I have no interest in finding out about his latest outrage. Just how arrogant is it for the president, at a time when the U.S. is on a financial cliff, to wander off to that vile isle?

Heard that there is a tab on the White House website where you can click and track the first family´s activities during their vacation.

Shaved ice, swims, and enjoying the beach.

Goody for them, so sad for us.

So nice when you are the king.

Schools and police stations were burning in Stockholm as violent riots continued for a fifth consecutive night. Emergency services were called to 70 separate incidents, including two torched primary schools, burning shops and a destroyed library building also housing a local police unit. Despite police claiming that the situation is beginning to calm down, critics say the riots were unavoidable after years of widening social gaps in a country which has the highest proportion of foreign-born citizens in Scandinavia.

As Democrats and the media continue to hammer Virginia lieutenant governor hopeful E.W. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
