PHILADELPHIA – The family of a Philadelphia teenager who says she was mocked by her geometry teacher for wearing a Mitt Romney T-shirt to class has sued the teacher and the school district. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the lawsuit claims the district ignored 16-year-old Samantha Pawlucy´s right to free speech. The lawsuit claims the district let other students harass Pawlucy and subjected her to emotional distress. It seeks unspecified damages. A district spokesman won´t comment. Teacher Lynette Gaymon has apologized to Pawlucy. A telephone message left Friday for Gaymon hasn´t been returned. Pawlucy says the teacher questioned why

This teenage young woman was subjected to public humiliation by an "authority figure" who now wishes to escape responsibility for her actions. Actions have consequences.

Isn´t Mz. Gaymon a negro? Perhaps she was just a black wanting to show her support for a fellow black - not at all racist.s/o
Mz. Gaymon should therefore get a pass and a promotion in the school system...maybe assistant superintendent and a very healthy pay raise.
Sickening and disgusting!

Dear Samantha,
Stay strong and bleed them for as much as you can. Pretend you are a union officer. ´They´ owe it to you! The teacher should be fired.
Keep in mind the lessons that you will learn along the way will be worth more than the money. Ahh, but the money.....make sure you get enough to pay for college. Oh yeah, pick a college that will embrace your opinions.

In 10th grade civics class in Akron, Ohio we had a mock election with a supposedly secret ballot. When it was all over the two of us who voted for Gerald Ford were singled out by the "cool guy" teacher and then the rest of the class. It was an early lesson that not going along with the herd has consequences.
I wish I had known it was worth money.

This woman was not a teacher, she was the biggest bully in the room. And this is one of the reasons why, as a gun owner type, I am very hesitant to arm teachers in this country. Until they can find a way to weed out the bullies, drug takers and child molesting pervs from carrying guns,(and the classroom as a whole) I am not for teachers being armed. Janitors/maintenance people yes. Teachers no.

A mass exodus of Christians is currently underway. Millions of Christians are being displaced from one end of the Islamic world to the other. We are reliving the true history of how the Islamic world, much of which prior to the Islamic conquests was almost entirely Christian, came into being. The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently said: “The flight of Christians out of the region is unprecedented and it’s increasing year by year.” In our lifetime alone “Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt.” Ongoing reports from the Islamic world

of ´uninsurables´ to them under Obamacare

Thousands of people with serious medical problems are in danger of losing coverage under President Obama´s health care overhaul because of cost overruns, state officials say. At risk is the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, a transition program that´s become a lifeline for the so-called uninsurables -- people with serious medical conditions who can´t get coverage elsewhere. The program helps bridge the gap for those patients until next year, when under the new law insurance companies will be required to accept people regardless of their medical problems.

The weakest recovery in the nation’s history continues. On Wednesday, payroll processing firm ADP reported that private sector businesses created a disappointing 119,000 jobs in the month of April. Once again, to use a word that should embarrass those who support the Obama administration’s Keynesian economic policies, this meager total was “unexpected.” Economic “experts” surveyed by Reuters had predicted at least 150,000 new jobs. ”Nearly every industry has seen slower growth since the beginning of the year,” said Moody’s economist Mark Zandi. “Smaller businesses are experiencing much weaker growth.” Most of the jobs were created in the service industries

Awful April: Spring hard to find

April has been a freakishly cold month across much of the northern USA, bringing misery to millions of sun-starved and winter-weary residents from the Rockies to the Midwest. "The weather map ... looks like something out of The Twilight Zone," Minneapolis meteorologist Paul Douglas of WeatherNation TV wrote on his blog last week. Record cold and snow has been reported in dozens of cities, with the worst of the chill in the Rockies, upper Midwest and northern Plains. Several baseball games have been snowed out in both Denver and Minneapolis.

A jury in South Bend, Indiana has found that fraud put President Obama and Hillary Clinton on the presidential primary ballot in Indiana in the 2008 election. Two Democratic political operatives were convicted in the illegal scheme after only three hours of deliberations in South Bend. They were found guilty on all counts. Former longtime St. Joseph County Democratic party Chairman Butch Morgan Jr. was found guilty of felony conspiracy counts to commit petition fraud and forgery, and former county Board of Elections worker Dustin Blythe was found guilty of felony forgery counts and falsely making a petition

Recently, the intelligence agency of a government our State Department classifies as “innocent” of sponsoring terror (Russia’s) warned the U.S. government to keep an eye on a potential immigrant terrorist. That individual was Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the slain bomber of the Boston Marathon. However, U.S. security agencies found no cause to apprehend, much less deport, the “terrorist suspect” at the time. Thirteen years ago, a Stalinist regime that our State Department condemns as an official “state-sponsor of terrorism” (Fidel Castro’s) asked the U.S. government to deport a 7-year-old immigrant named Elian Gonzalez.

Parents Call Textbook Anti-Semitic

The Jewish Federation of Nashville and a group of outraged parents are calling for a school district to pull a high school textbook they believe promotes bias against Israel. The book, “The Cultural Landscape: An Introduction to Human Geography,” is used in Advanced Placement classes in Williamson County, south of Nashville. A section titled, “Terrorism by Individuals and Organizations,” asks students to ponder the following question: “If a Palestinian suicide bomber kills several dozen Israeli teenagers in a Jerusalem restaurant, is that an act of terrorism or wartime retaliation against Israeli government policies and army actions?” "That is blatantly anti-Semitic,”

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
