Gun confiscation raised
by rising star Democrat

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo publicly declared the death of the US Constitution yesterday, December 20, 2012. Cuomo, in few short sentences, has begun laying the essential groundwork for the possible mass deportation of undesirable civilians to government "work" camps, re-education camps, and even death camps. After all, only disarmed Americans can be herded and shipped off in cattle cars to their uncertain fate. Cuomo statements are a more than warning shot across the bow of American liberty. They signal that the Democrats and the MSM have jettisoned any remaining loyalty to Constitutional freedoms and individual rights.

One of the 3 worst Presidents of the last 100 years, FDR, confiscated all personal gold.

The Progressives trashed the Constitution long ago. This is nothing new.

Immediately after 9/11 many dimocrats accused Bush/Cheney of setting up the attack so they would have an excuse to go into Iraq and steal their oil. By that logic, it would appear the dimocrats setup Adam Lanza to attack this school so they could steal our guns. Lunacy, yes, but the connection is far less tenuous than 9/11 to Iraq and we are seeing an immediate exploitation of this incident to further the dimocrats long-term goals of disarming the populace, a la every totalitarian regime in history.

Then they´ll come for the First Amendment.
They won´t like what the find both times, if they survive the attempts.

This is a very sick man, and he is a governor? The liberals don´t understand the mind, heart, & soul of the true American Patriots. This nonsense is errily reminiscent of Germany 1933-1945. I agree #´s 6&7...

If anyone would do it, it is this guy. They don´t call him the Thug for no reason. NY the land of retroactive King´s law. Whatever whim strikes the NYC politicians when they aren´t dodging criminal charges, that becomes new law. Given the state of NY´s finances I have no doubt they will pass all kinds of taxes on anything to do with guns. They have a data base of every legal handgun owner in the state. That´s where they will start and then move on from there. The sheeple in this state bleat for the idea that any sort of authority figure can go into any gun owners home at any time for any reason. Of course they will ´feel´ differently when they are declared a criminal by fiat and they are arrested, but by then none of it will matter.

"..any remaining loyalty to Constitutional freedoms.."

I know many Democrats and have wasted too many hours arguing with them, and can guarantee that the above quote is far too generous. They have no remaining loyalty to Constitutional freedoms whatsoever. The Constitution, to the modern Democrat, is only a block in the road preventing them from imposing Socialism on the USA. That´s it, from A to Z. From each according to his ability, to each according to his need - that´s their constitution, and the few honest ones among them will admit it.

This points up the importance of not registering guns with the government. If they don´t know you got ´em, they can´t take them away.

See what "reasonable" gun control gets you? Sooner or later nothing you give them is enough. Look at the smoking bans, taxes and the gay marriage thing for other examples.
"We just want this one little thing." Then everyone gets comfortable and then they just want one little thing more. Before long you have nothing except chains.
No more gun control. Never again.

Does anyone know about the battles of Lexington and Concord? They were the result of the British to confiscate firearms. It was the spark that ignited the American Revolution. Has any liberal ever read and seriously studied history? Do they have a clue what will likely happen? Remember 1776 and 1861.

Cuomo as a rising star is halarious. Ask any suffering New Yorker who has to pay for gold plated welfare and pension benefits and never ending mandates.

As for Barry´s hero FDR, Barry managed to get a provision in the death bill which would allow the goobermint to confiscate your gold again.

Reply 17 - Posted by: Spidey, 12/22/2012 5:24:54 AM     (No. 9078914)

Cuomo was one of the brainchilds of the sub prime instrument to shoehorn unqualified home buyers into houses which led to the mortgage meltdown but you´ll never see or hear that in the news.Ironically banks became "predatory lenders"by complying with Cuomo´s brainstorm which also led to billions in lawsuits from people claiming they were snookered into bad loans when the ARM´s re-adjusted to make up for lost interest on the houses.

The guy who ran against Cuomo was a bit of a nut but he was also a successful businessman who would have cracked down on all of NY´s abuses and they obviously couldn´t allow that.

I actually heard a liberal nut call a show this week and defend the cop who´s making over 400K a year. That´s the kind of mentality we´re up against. These people claim to be the champions of fairness but turn a blind eye to reverse fairness when an average worker is further bled to pay for this crap.

Do conservative sites have to help with the meme that this guy is a "rising star?" The incompetent lost track of $11 billion while he was HUD secretary, a job he got because of who his father was. And his policies help bring on the housing / mortgage crisis that almost sank the economy. It is Andy Cuomo and Barack Obama who should be the fall guys for the housing crisis. Instead, the MSM let´s these two blame it on George W. Bush.

He was 81. The Washington Post reported he died at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. In a statement to the Post newsroom, Managing Editor Kevin Merida said Johnson died of a heart attack. The FBI has arrested a San Antonio man on charges he lied to get into the United States and tried to get a sensitive Defense Department position. Wissam Allouche, 44, appeared for an initial hearing Friday afternoon, and shook his head when U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Bemporad read the charges leveled in a federal indictment. The judge ordered him held pending a bail hearing and his arraignment Tuesday. “He allegedly tried to cover up his affiliation with Hezbollah,” said special agent Erik Vasys, spokesman for the FBI in San Antonio. “It is believed

A FREE press in a democracy demands a delicate balance. The First Amendment means the media must have the right to inquire without hindrance. The government has a legitimate interest in keeping some national security information secret. When these come into conflict, the balance often has been struck this way: The media are free to pursue secrets, but it is up to those in government to keep them. When the media come into possession of information that, if disclosed, could be damaging, the government can plead the case for secrecy — and the media generally are open to persuasion.

The brutal murder of an off-duty soldier by two Muslim activists continues to dominate the news in Great Britain. The scene was utterly bizarre: in broad daylight, in a busy section of London, the two Muslims apparently ran the soldier down with a car, within a block or two of his barracks, and then attacked him with knives and a meat cleaver. They attempted to behead him, apparently not quite successfully, as hundreds of passers-by looked on. No one stopped them–private ownership of firearms being illegal in the U.K.–but three random women

A day after insurers complained that Kathleen Sebelius and the Obama administration had pressured them to fund Enroll America, a House committee sent them a request for more information on the matter. The Energy and Commerce Committee had already begun looking into whether Sebelius had broken any laws by attempting to get donations from an industry that will be heavily regulated by her under ObamaCare, and now The Hill reports this new request as a widening of that probe (via Rare): House Republicans have widened their probe of Health and Human Services

President Obama delivered an address today at the National Defense University called “The Future of our Fight Against Terrorism.” Actually, part of the speech was about the past, including much self-congratulation and some shots at President Bush. This part of the speech is revisionist rubbish. As Max Boot explains: Obama said, for example, that after he came into office, “we unequivocally banned torture, affirmed our commitment to civilian courts, worked to align our policies with the rule of law, and expanded our consultations with Congress.” Umm, actually all of that happened in Bush’s second term.

In seventy lugubrious paragraphs, President Obama today asked America whether as commander-in-chief he should bomb terrorists. He concluded that sometimes he should, and sometimes he shouldn’t. He couldn’t quite make up his mind. Therefore, he would appoint a panel to advise him. Mr. Obama has already authorized more than 200 such drone bombings. His staff has bragged that before ordering a bombing, he personally reviews who lives and who dies. Imagine if Prime Minister Churchill or President Truman had appeared on television to announce an advisory panel before bombing our enemy. We would be appalled

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.
