President Obama began to unveil his second-term national security team on Friday, choosing John Kerry as the next Secretary of State. The Massachusetts Senator shares the President´s view of diminished American power and influence, which should only compound skepticism about the mooted selection of Chuck Hagel to lead the Pentagon. Mr. Obama has found his mirror-image in Mr. Kerry, who for 30 years has been one of the Democratic Party´s leading doves. The Senator´s antiwar activism after Vietnam is well known and may have cost him the Presidency in 2004.

There´s always a bully in the sandbox who preys on the most defenseless, the most vulnerable. Didn´t any of these, ´doves,´ attend kindergarden?

Pres. Reagan´s policy of, ´´Peace Through Strength,´´ actually produced BOTH peace AND Liberty! 0bama´s reversal of this positive policy is producing neither peace nor freedom.

The WSJ is being a little to lemient regarding John Kerry. First his antiwar activision started during the Vietnam war and since he was still on reserve, it should have been considered treason with the resultant penalty. Second three purple hearts without a night in hospital and then boogying back stateside was another act of cowardice.

Most of us vets recognize courage and integrity and John Kerry lacks both.

Like Obama, he sees the great America that you and I see, as something equivalent to Nazi Germany. Maybe not the Nazi Germany of 1941, but the Nazi Germany of 1935. We see a great nation. They see a hegemonic monster to be destroyed. And, it´s working.

Kerry is the perfect choice for this administration. He´s the White Obama, with all the cowardice, the spoiled brat personality, the propensity to take advantage of people, the delusional, unicorn-chasing ideas, and most dangerous, the belief that all other countries in the world want peace, if only America would throw down her weapons and give up her power. That´s why we must fight the upcoming attack on the second amendment, whatever it takes. The government must fear us, always.

Was he going to take the two state dept guys to task for serious mistakes? Was he going to ask them to resign along with their four underlings?

Imagine Benedict Arnold being named to Jefferson´s cabinet! This is just one more example of still open wound we all suffered called the Obama Regime.

Obama won´t be happy until Israel goes back to the borders it had under Augustus Caesar (that´s right, Israel didn´t exist), Taiwan is taken by China, Russia gets back Alaska, Mexico reclaims California (no big loss there) and we pay reparations to Cuba.

What a mess!

Climate change is damaging fish brains and

Fish are losing their survival instinct as the world´s oceans become more acidic because of climate change, researchers have claimed. The study confirms laboratory experiments showing that the behavior of reef fishes can be seriously affected by increased carbon dioxide concentrations in the ocean. Carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere is absorbed into ocean waters, where it dissolves and lowers the pH of the water. The new study is the first to analyze the sensory impairment of fish from CO2 seeps, where pH is similar to what climate models forecast for surface waters by the turn of the century. ´These results verify our laboratory

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. Washington -- A new video shows what looks like the largest and most dangerous gathering of al Qaeda in years. And the CIA and the Pentagon either didn´t know about it or couldn´t get a drone there in time to strike. U.S. officials won´t comment on that, but every frame of the video is now being analyzed by the United States. In the middle of the clip, the man known as al Qaeda´s crown prince, Nasir al-Wuhayshi, appears brazenly out in the open, greeting followers in Yemen. WASHINGTON - Americans increasingly think Democrats have a better plan for healthcare than Republicans, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the White House announced that more people than expected had signed up for the "Obamacare" health plan. Nearly one-third of respondents in the online survey released on Tuesday said they prefer Democrats´ plan, policy or approach to healthcare, compared to just 18 percent for Republicans. This marks both an uptick in support for Democrats and a slide for Republicans since a similar poll in February. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius stepped down last week after overseeing the law´s

Big Government: The Congressional Budget Office warns of a terrifying, unprecedented level of national debt in the coming decade. That fits nicely with Democrats´ objectives, but not with our nation´s founding principles. Andrew Jackson, who in 1835 succeeded in paying off the national debt, was famous for considering debt slavery. The current fiscal path the U.S. is on does indeed lead to slavery, but the slave masters of the future will be well-heeled politicians and federal bureaucrats, not plantation owners. The CBO´s new budget projections contain an eerie warning that we are on path from today´s already unfathomable $17.7 trillion in gross

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
