Three people have been shot dead near a rural Pennsylvania church today before the gunman was killed by police. State police say the shooter killed three people, then exchanged gunfire with troopers rushing to the scene. Troopers fatally shot him after his pickup crashed into one of their cruisers, injuring three officers. One woman was shot through the window of a church hall while she decorated for a children´s Christmas party. Another woman who was also decorating at Juniata Valley Gospel Church escaped unharmed.
Why does the Daily Mail try to tie in the NRA President´s speech into all this? A nutjob fired on some people decorating a church. It was likely due to a personal grudge. I really don´t think he was paying attention to what Wayne La Pierre said.
Nothing unusual, #1. Copycats always want to get a piece of the fame pie. If the dilbert media would cool their sensationalist jets when reporting stuff like the Sandy Hook shootings, it would help a lot. Also, satan is alive and well on planet earth.
This time of year isn´t jolly for everyone. The true meaning of Christmas has been stiffled by the anti-God people, and emphasis is on buying things. With the economy on the rocks, I bet there are many people suffering depression, and some snap.
The last time I wrestled a pig was when I corrected a British reporter about an article he wrote slandering lawful gun owners. He admitted that he was wrong, that he knew the facts, but ´It was just too good a story,´ so he lied. It´s what they do. Sheeple eat it up because they want a benevolent dictator/daddy.
And the media does its part to encourage copycats. Why not? They love mass shootings and tornadoes and hurricanes and anything they can use to further their control junkie agenda.
I´ll wait for more info on this guy. I wonder if he fits the narrative -- we´ll hear a lot about him if he does. If he attacked the church first because he´s an atheist, get your fill of the story now because it will disappear quickly.
Report the same type of stuff that goes on in Chicago every night. Report it in detail then blame the mayor for having blood on his hands. He hasn´t gotten illegal guns off the streets and hasn´t put a bounty on the gang bangers and drug pushers.
Call me a fruit bat or whatever you want, but I have my own answer to #1´s question: I think the government is using scopolamine to make these things happen. Find a troubled, loner college student, dose him up and tell him to shoot up a movie theater. Do the same six months later with an elementary school.
Sit back, watch the public outcry, and start grabbing the guns.
Today Politico´s Dylan Byers got tough on MSNBC with two posts calling into question the channel´s journalistic credibility. Byers started the day by going after MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry for something she said over the weekend. Harris-Perry claimed Sunday that the term Obamacare was an attempt by white people to denigrate a black President. Byers pointed out that "Hillarycare" and "Reaganomics" seem like similar appellations and asked, in light of these, how "Obamacare" could be implicitly racist while the other terms are not. It´s not clear whether Harris-Perry responded to Byers´ challenge privately but she did not tweet (or anything
World leaders have gathered in Johannesburg to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela at a memorial service for the former president of South Africa, five days after he died at the age of 95. Barack Obama was pictured arriving after a 17-hour flight from Washington on board Air Force One, during which he rode with his wife Michelle, former President George W. Bush, Laura Bush, and Hillary Clinton. He has been given a prominent role in the memorial service for former South African president Nelson Mandela - but may face awkward moments if he comes face to face with controversial leaders
Jim Murray, an English writer and one of the world’s top whiskey critics, believes Scottish malt is no match for American whiskey. “Generally speaking, bourbon … has overtaken Scotch,” he said, according to the Telegraph. Mr. Murray, who wrote “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible,” argues that Scotland’s decrease in quality whiskey is due to the use of sulphur candles to sanitize some barrels that have been used to age sherry, giving it a “bitter finish.” Bourbon, however, is aged in virgin oak casks, which do not require sulphur treatment, the Telegraph said. “The best whiskey is coming not from Scotland any
Brothers Tryon, 19, and Tyshaune Kincade, 18, were formally charged Monday in the shooting death of Sergent First Class Jim Vester, 32, after arranging to sell the 12-year military veteran an iPad on Wednesday. According to phone records released by the police, the Indianapolis father wanted to buy an iPad from the brothers as a Christmas present for his parents based off of their Craigslist ad. At 3:05pm, Vester texted: ´Can I get your address´. At 3:14pm, the suspects texted him to meet at 920 Wyckford Dr. Vester arrived at the address at 3:49pm and texted: ´are you here?´ and the
Andrea Elliott, in her NY Times article "Invisible Child," articulates the disheartening existence of a family living on the meager support of government welfare. She invites her readers to look through the eyes of Dasani, the family´s 11-year-old girl. The family has a complex relationship with the welfare programs that both keep them afloat and keep their situation hopeless. Liberals advocate that welfare programs are designed to help the least fortunate and that they demonstrate a society’s compassion. However, sometimes too much compassion by the state can devolve into what recovering drug addicts would call "enabling." Moreover, the "compassionate environment"
MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry evidently exists to say ridiculous things. The same radical who declared that all children belong to the state said Sunday that “Obamacare” is the new “n-word.” (Video) “Good morning, I’m Melissa Harris-Perry. I want to talk today about a controversial word,” the Tulane professor began Sunday’s show. “It’s a word that has been with us for years. And like it or not, it’s indelibly printed in the pages of American history. A word that was originally intended as a derogatory term, meant to shame, and divide, and demean. The word was conceived of by a group of
The world´s leading technology companies have united to demand sweeping changes to US surveillance laws, urging an international ban on bulk collection of data to help preserve the public´s “trust in the internet”. In their most concerted response yet to disclosures by the National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Twitter and AOL have published an open letter to Barack Obama and Congress on Monday, throwing their weight behind radical reforms already proposed by Washington politicians. “The balance in many countries has tipped too far in favour of the state and away from the rights of
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
A veteran Washington adviser who has worked for four Presidents on both sides of the political aisle said that the stunning Government Accountability Report report that found President Barack Obama has not had a one-on-one meeting with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius since the passage of Obamacare over three years ago is an indictment of the entire White House operation and shows that the Obama administration has bordered on "malfeasance." "I have no doubt the White House is right, that Secretary Sebelius was in several group meetings with the president about health care," Gergen caveated, "but the whole
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? In an interview with Playboy, Ben Affleck said, "When I watch a guy [on film] I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him": PLAYBOY: You developed a political profile campaigning for presidential candidates Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. How did that come about? AFFLECK: I grew up in a house with a mother who was a teacher and a Freedom Rider—very left-wing Democrats living in a heterogeneous working-class neighborhood. I picked up a lot of those values there, and I
