The ‘Reagan 13’

In the astroturfed Christmas Card Version of Obama’s 20-day Hawaiian holiday, (Michelle and daughters already there, but starting for Barry this weekend) the mental vision strived for is the regime and its staffers running happily, like the Moon-doggies of old, into the surf. With Axelrod doing the astroturfing, who needs Hollywood, and if Gidget can go Hawaiian, why not a lugubrious Valerie or Michelle? The astroturf version of the Obamas’ $4 million holiday in Hawaii is set to demoralize and depress the proletariat.

Believe in sanctimonious posturing that will leave millions of us down hearted, disillusioned and discouraged.

Reagan did not demand all or nothing.

The dishonesty from the so called conservatives is pathetic.

I don´t know the names of all 13, but three of them are named Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail. They should defer to Speaker Boehner, who knows more than about 59 of them combined.

Where angels fear to tread, fools rush in, goes the saying.

This is what will happen:

* the President will go enjoy a nice vacation.
* On Jan 1, taxes go up on 100% of people, and sequestration takes hold.
* 3/4 of the public blames the republicans (per John Podhoretz article posted below)
* Obama, well rested, comes back from vacation.
* He will show great empathy for 98% of the population, "cutting taxes" on them to current level
* He will pass executive orders to ´save´ his favorite programs and departments from sequestration and let the rest stew.
* Obama´s approval ratings go up.

FTA: Obama’s 20-day Hawaiian holiday, (Michelle and daughters already there, but starting for Barry this weekend)

Oh, goodie. I wouldn´t want Mo´s vital personal holiday schedule disrupted by anything as pedestrian as a sense of propriety. Or respect for the taxpayers. No, no, no. Better Mo should luxuriate her way to the 50th state on a hyper-luxe taxpayer-owned 757 "executive transport" for the cost of a few first-class tickets. You don´t mind chipping in "your" share of the multi-hundreds of thousands [more likely millions, all-up cost] that little outburst of "I´m entitled!" cost the Sovereign Citizens of the Republic, do you, you sheet-wearing racist you? Do you?

Not a whisper from the yellow press that Mooch was already in Hawaii. I bet she was there before the tragedy in Newtown, CT. That is how much she cares. Phooey on the Obama loving press, cowards and traitors, all of them.

I believe that Obama wants to go over the cliff because he just can´t stand, narcissistic person that he is, that BUSH has his name to anything that people like. Obummer wants HIS name to some tax cuts. So, even if Repubs. give in to anything he wants, he still will reject it. He´ll find some reason to. Then, as Rush says, he´ll ride in as "savior."

I see ´Scrooge´ is alive and well here today.

Representatives doing exactly what they promised their constituents? Unlike many here I applaud their courage and integrity. The reason why we are here today is because we listen to what the pols tell us, send them to DC and they promptly forget what they promised to get elected.

#5, Obama´s ratings might very well go up. They´re already up as he basks in the warm afterglow of the post election period. But after January 1, and the cold reality of ruinous taxation begins to dawn on all the low information voters, there could be a backlash as the administration and the media can´t blame everything on the Republicans forever. Just have patience, as the recession returns with a fresh vengeance, and energy prices spike and inflation hits home on an electorate already stressed out by joblessness and loss of unemployment benefits, along with a host of other woes.

#10, I agree with you. If we don´t stand for something we´ll fall for anything, or something like that. We got into this fix by slowly giving ground on our conservative principles to the socialists. We have lost enormous liberties as a result. And to think, there are people on this thread who advocate more of the same!

We should call them the Obama 13 because their sheer act of stupidity yesterday helped Obama regain the upper hand in the negotiations. Obama wants the Bush tax cuts to expire --and the bitter gang of 13 Levinbots -- seem certain to make that happen. When the Bush tax cuts do expire you can bet Obama will be right there to press for a "historic tax break for the middle class". Obama´s approval will go through the roof and the American public will scratch their heads in wonder as to what the GOP stands for. In other words, 13 reps bitter about a couple of lost committee chairships and led by third rate talk show host, are tearing the GOP to smitherines. Kind of like how these same folks tried to sabotage the Romney campaign. Let these dopes go start their own party. Let the GOP actually return to a party ruled by sober adults rather than a couple of radio shock jocks.

Where are the reporters who usually report on their vacations? I wondered why we haven´t heard anything from Moochie lately. I think it´s an insult to the taxpayers that they fly seperately on vacations and take all their friends with them at our expense. He will probably come back a few days after Christmas and fly back to Hawaii for New Years and stay until the inauguration. Wish the hell they would all just stay there.

I just checked out Drudge and there is a video of the family getting on the plane to Hawaii. Guess they are all going on one plane. That makes me feel a little better!!

Do you ever wonder how Obama gets away with the most outrageous acts ever perpetrated by a sitting president with barely a nick to his reputation? Did you scratch your head when not a single Justice Department or ATF official went to jail for sending hundreds of guns over the border to Mexican drug lords with the expressed purpose of fomenting violent crime? Do you really think high ranking government officials are going to be held accountable for the now blazing IRS and Benghazi scandals? If these and other questions like them have been bothering you for the past few years,

It is now safe to say that if one cannot see the abject evil of the Obama administration as well as the endemic corruption and criminality in our federal government, it is only because they are refusing to look. Those such as myself who suspected on September 12, 2012 that the Obama administration’s narrative relative to the attack on the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya,

The term Liberal Redneck will strike progressives as an absurd contradiction. Yet, Conservatives will have an immediate, wearying familiarity with the angry, judgmental, uninformed and doctrinaire viewpoint of this group. In fact, the Liberal Redneck is every bit as small-minded, bigoted, dismissive, self-righteous, judgmental, uneducated and intolerant as the worst fundamentalist. The problem in America today is that there is never a level playing field offered for the discussion of ideas. Therefore, most important topics are only mentioned in a predetermined format. In other words, one can mention, for example—gay marriage,

The deadly, almost under-cover assassin of conservatism in America is not the Fundamental Transformation of America-pushing Barack Obama and the Democrats but Karl Rove and his big-money financiers. Conservatism is the dead man walking in the politics of America today, and there’s no way to revive the corpse as long as Karl Rove is still at the GOP helm. We’re rapidly approaching a potential checkmate moment in the Mideast. There are 41 nations plus the U.S., for a total of 42 nations currently participating in military maneuvers off the coast of Iran. Despite all of the saber rattling about Iran, we are being deceived about the coming global battle, which will almost certainly begin in Syria, not Iran. What we are seeing is both deadly serious and under-appreciated by most Westerners, who have grown weary of wars and rumors of wars in the Mideast long ago. The mainstream media no longer has the luxury of ignoring Benghazi. Nor can they brush it off as another Watergate type of scandal: nobody died by drowning or other means at Watergate. The emergence of the whistle blowers has made the story too big to ignore, as much as the media would prefer it would go away. You will note that when it wasn’t until after their beloved Obama was safely ensconced in the White House for another four years did the media show any interest in the biggest story of the administration.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. Jay Carney lay bludgeoned at the base of the podium, a victim of friendly fire. Ironically, the attack was reminiscent of the one in Benghazi he has repeatedly denied the Administration he represents bears any responsibility for. “Changed twelve times?!” came the cries. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
