An early morning hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee with two deputy Secretaries of State emphasized the need for material resources to boost security and downplayed errors made by high-ranking officials in the State Department in the course of the Benghazi attacks in September. Sen. John Kerry appeared to be trying on the role of Secretary of State in advance of his rumored nomination when he discussed the need to contribute more funds to U.S. foreign relations efforts.

Sorry Kerry - You´re misstating the facts as usual. Lack of money for diplomatic security was not the problem as stated by the lady State Department official responsible for security. Downsize the U.S. Embassy in London to half its size for extra diplomatic security cash.

Congress is not to blame for the Libyan tragedy. Our government, who wouldn´t let sleeping dictators ( Ghadaffi and Mubarak) lie and supported their overthrow, is to blame.
People who don´t know anything about world affairs shouldn´t dabble in them. Our government dabbled and we shall pay for decades to come.

Money is always the excuse for political screw ups. `If we only had more `resources`, i.e. $$$$$$, this would not have happened. Same old tired political excuse. Kerry, like Shrillary, is so schooled in the art of lying, he`ll fit right in at State. Instead of listening to Clinton`s shrill deadpan voice, we`ll be subjected to Kerry`s upper crust snobbish New England drawl.
We`re in a country that just overthrew its dictator by dragging him in the streets and sodomizing him and the State Dept/WH never thought to beef up security. Obama never has a problem finding money to throw at his union buddies but foreign security in a hotbed outpost is forgotten.
A warm bucket of spit comes to mind when thinking of the fools who inhabit the halls of DC.

I once worked for a complete idiot at an organization, and we went to a national convention to present our reasearch findings. We we scheduled at 8 AM, and I was well prepared. My idiot boss, at 7 AM, used sign language of sorts to tell me that he had laryngitis, and that I had to do the full presentation. (He was not such a complete idiot that he didn´t know he was unprepared.)
I thought of that event, which happened back in 19777, when I read about Hillary.
Her excuse will be more complex, but she will have one.

London, England - A new wealth tax is being proposed by the leftist wing (The Liberal Democrats) of our coalition government that will come with unprecedented powers to enter our homes and root through our personal possessions to value rings, necklaces, paintings and furniture, anything that might raise more taxes. If we refuse to be inspected or get our own valuations wrong, we would be facing fines, maybe even a jail sentence. A week from now, a dramatic new federal policy is set to go into effect that threatens U.S. national security, thousands of jobs and more. The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

One of two men allegedly being questioned in connection with the Boston Marathon bombings was shot and killed by an FBI agent in Florida on Tuesday, (Snip)A friend of Ibragim Todashev said he and Todashev were being investigated as part of the Boston bombings. He said Todashev, 27, knew bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev because both were MMA fighters. The man claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday. The friend said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartment he found that there had been a shooting.
