| If the 2nd Amendment is responsible for Newtown, Conn. then let´s have a look at what really kills Americans. Guilty and innocents alike. Let´s legislatively ban the obviously responsible parties in each category of unnecessary death. (using Left-think) Smoking related deaths - 434,000+ We have to immediately punish all tobacco retailers for these deaths. And the people who smoke tobacco. And who manufacture matches and cigarette lighters. In fact, we must immediately ban all forms of combustible weeds. Obesity related deaths - 300,000+ Ban all food. Now. It´s nearly too late.

3500 people die each year at the hands of Illegal Alien drunk drivers. Another 3 or 4 thousand are homicide victims of Illegals.
So, in order to cut down on deaths caused by illegal aliens - make them all citizens!

According to some websites, 1,347 children under age 14 were killed by automobiles driven by drunk drivers.
Driving under the influence is already illegal so - so I guess the next move is to ban automobiles.

During the hour last Friday when the deranged shooter was killing 20 youngsters, how many:
Jewelry stores were not held up because the the potential thieves were aware that the store owner and staff had weapons under their counters ?
How many homes were not invaded because the thieves feared that the home owner had a weapon ?
How many merchants were not held up because the thieves feared that the merchant was packing ?
And on. And on.
If citizens are unarmed, it would become dangerous for citizens to leave their houses.

If they really wanted to protect innocent lives they would go after liquor. Entire families have been killed by drunk drivers. Why does alcohol get a free pass?

How many deaths caused from consuming alcohol and related afflictions? How many deaths from drunken antics excluding driving? How many lives ruined by alcoholism?
Alcohol has no redeeming qualities, unlike guns which have many.

What person ever says what he really knows at a funeral? Eulogies bearing little or no resemblance to the deceased or to the facts are trotted out by people who are often bad actors, who though they know better, lie anyway. It´s almost acceptable behavior. But any truth about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans appears to have been put six feet under as far as our current administration is concerned. Did Barack Obama in effect steal the election in 2012? It is impossible to know, of course, how matters would have played it if Americans had been told the truth about Benghazi. And what if the IRS had not hobbled conservative nonprofits (and therefore the movement) with extra scrutiny and consequent delay and expenses? But there can be no doubt that Obama helped himself by being able to claim that Al Qaeda was "on the run" and with an assist from Candy Crowley make Mitt Romney look bad on when he criticized Obama´s anti-terror policies.
