Laura Ingraham replaced
by Fox´s younger Tantaros

Washington Examiner [DC], by Paul Bedard

Original Article

Laura Ingraham´s former radio show on Talk Radio Network Entertainment is going on a youth kick, today announcing that Fox News Channel´s Andrea Tantaros will get the 9 a.m-noon slot. She will be joined by Jason Mattera, the youngest editor ever of conservative Human Events. The "Andrea Tantaros Show with Jason Mattera" will begin January 2, the same day Ingraham will start her new show with Courtside Entertainment Group which also produces Bill O´Reilly´s "Talking Points."

Comments:
Tantaros´ occasional column for the New York Daily News had vanished and I´ve been wondering what new gig had replaced it.

It´s a huge gig for her,I wonder if she´s up to it. Most of her opinions are conventional wisdom types. It takes depth to make it in radio.

On THE FIVE, they always put her on the outside so that the studio crew could enjoy her legs.

I love Andrea. I hope she´s successful. As a replacement for Laura she´s a refreshing breath of fresh air. Laura has been shrill and nasty for months. I think her hatred of Romney has caused a mental breakdown or something.

A radio show doesn´t need to worry about the age or looks of their host unless I´ve missed some major technological advance.

Nothing against Ms Tantaros, but Laura Ingraham has an age and wisdom edge on her. I watch the Five and Andrea is the eye candy of the group.

Good luck to Laura whatever she does.

Not fair to compare radio novice Andrea to the number one woman on TalkRadio. But both women are fighters, often more feisty than their male counter parts, and both have fine conservative instincts. Andrea needs a number of years of seasoning to approach Laura´s breadth and depth. Andrea comes from good stock... immigrant, small business stock.
Good luck, Andrea!

Well said, Poster #5. We need them both!! Laura is well respected by O´Reilly and subs for him often. She is smart, articulate and attractive. Honey, she does not show her age, I might add, VERY attractive. Andrea has good instincts and states the conservative side without shillness and with accuracy. Proud of these women. Wonder why the toadies haven´t attacked them. Maybe Letterman and Mahler insults are getting old with the their stupid audiences!

Congrats Andrea, but Ingraham is the most talented radio personality I´ve ever heard. Unbelievable athlete, legal mind, comedienne, human being

I miss Laura´s contributions during these crises (although they may be appearing on Fox)

She´ll return in the new year but its not fully known where. TRN sounds like they´ll consume many of her old radio slots at the outset

I certainly hope Ms. Tantaros willbe able to stay with the FIVE. Those camera shots of her sitting on the outside of the group are a site to be hold.

I was once a fan of Laura. No more. I agree with #3. She is more nasty than feisty these days. She sure did nothing to help the Republican cause during the recent election. As to Tantaros, I remain to be convinced.

I agree with those who think Laura turned shrill and nasty lately. She didn´t do Romney any favors either. Good luck to Andrea. I think she´ll turn out to be a good one.

Tantaros is very good. She´s up to it. If she can attract the younger Americans to conservatism, I am all for this move.

Ingraham is too shrill for many. It sometimes overshadows her message.

Laura has been shrill and nasty for years.

I recall being appalled at her snarky comments to Laura Bush.....way back when.

Her snarky oh so superior attitude is tiresome.

I´ve been a fan of Laura´s since her failed TV stint at MSNBC. However, it occurs to me that Laura might be "difficult" at times. She has constantly changed stations in many markets, staff and now a contract dispute.

Don´t know for sure, but if she´s so enlightened, why the kissup to O´Reilly, the biggest boob at FOX?

I get home from work just in time to tune into "The Five". I love Kimberly Guilfoyle but I also love the younger and equally beautiful Andrea Tantaros. Fox News knew what they were doing when they put both of these ladies on the outside for shots of their legs. That being said Andrea is more than up to the challege. She not only is drop dead gorgeous but is very smart and can handle liberal jerks like Bob Beckel. She reminds me of Katie Pavolich of Townhall.com. I have always been a fan of Laura Ingraham and had the privilege of meeting her at a republican rally back in 2004. She was not only beautiful but sharp as a tack. Sadly though her radio show stopped being carried out here several years ago. Both of these ladies are conservative warriors who give the leftist morons fits. The liberal hag women can´t compete in either brains nor looks and the limp noodle liberal men just look like fools next to them. I wish both of them luck as they counter balance the liberal agenda in the coming year and afterwards.

WEST, Texas—Block by block, schools, homes and businesses are steadily being pieced back together here, a year after a blast at a fertilizer depot laid waste to much of the town. But the mental wounds suffered by residents are proving much harder to heal. Army veteran Joshua Zarecor was at an apartment complex near the West Fertilizer Co. facility, watching firefighters battle a blaze there last April 17, when the plant suddenly exploded, shattering glass in the complex and causing its walls to collapse. Misty Lambert, 38 years old, who had moved to West several weeks earlier, said she had invited Mr.

"The heavens reek, the waters below are foul ... we are in a crisis of survival." That´s how Walter Cronkite and CBS hyped the first Earth Day, back in 1970. Somehow we´ve survived since then, and most of life got better, although I never hear that from the worrywarts. Of course, some things got better because of government: We passed environmental rules that got most of the filth out of the air and sewage out of lakes and rivers. Great—but now we´re told that we´re in big trouble because greenhouse gases cause global warming. I mean, climate change. "Crop yields are

If Condoleezza Rice were as self-pitying and politically crass as Attorney General Eric Holder, she would be wondering aloud what it is about her race and gender that accounts for the hostility of her enemies. Rice’s recent speaking gigs on college campuses and her ascension to the board of the file-sharing company Dropbox have sparked protests calling for her to be disinvited, cashiered and generally isolated and shamed. Condi Rice is not a natural lightning rod. She’s such a disreputable figure that she’s on the board of the Kennedy Center and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She’s such a lightweight

As a "government drone" hovers over Matt Rosendale, the Republican House candidate from Montana tells the camera what he thinks of government overreach, regulation, and "spying on our citizens." Then, standing in front of an ATV, Rosendale coolly puts a rifle to his shoulder, looks up through the sight and "downs" the drone with a single shot. "The federal government is too big and too powerful," Rosendale says. "I´m ready to stand tall for freedom and get Washington out of our lives," he says. Rosendale is trying to stand out in a five-way primary for Montana´s at-large seat in the House. Sporting a barn

A story is told about Robert L. Bartley, late editor of the Wall Street Journal, and his penchant for long silences. He is supposed to have once taken a job applicant to lunch at which, though the two shared a meal, neither spoke a syllable. That is no doubt apocryphal; the job applicant probably said something. George Washington had a taciturn streak, as did President Coolidge, known as “Silent Cal.” (Snip)But rarely does anyone get as upset about it as Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker appears to be in respect of Clarence Thomas. Toobin came unglued at the disinclination of

Let’s say you got into politics running for office as a Democrat. You hate Rupert Murdoch and Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, and you really, really hate Bill Kristol. You despise bankers and got set up in activism by a group working on behalf of “the working class” and complaining: “Every day the rich tighten the chains . . . . They close the factories, the mills, the mines, and ship our jobs overseas.” You’re part of a group that endorses the Mearsheimer-Walt view that Israeli interests hold American foreign policy captive – a group that also wholeheartedly

On the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Gen. James Mattis admonished the 1st Marine Division to “[d]emonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy.’” That motto could serve as a guiding principle for sound national security policy. Regrettably, our allies wonder whether the United States is demonstrating the reverse. Since leaving as secretary of homeland security in January 2009, I have talked with officials from friendly nations in Asia and the Middle East. Increasingly, I hear skepticism about whether the United States remains a reliable ally our friends can trust for support against attacks.

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as
