| With President Obama’s announcement of a commission to study and recommend ways to reduce gun violence, the two most important Democrats in government — Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — have both indicated a desire to slow the momentum toward gun control in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings. The president’s decision to appoint a blue-ribbon panel — the classic Washington ploy to defuse and delay consideration of an issue — along with Reid’s inaction on the gun question will undoubtedly frustrate many in their party who want immediate action. Or they´ve indicated a desire to work around congress. That´s Obama´s best bet at getting his way.

What´s congress got to do with it? That´s not the way things get done any more. Nepolitano and the Public Safety Czar are coming up with the way to solve the liberals´ gun problem.

Every AR-15 in every gun store East Texas FLEW off the racks in the past week. I was in a gun store today that got 2 of them delivered today at noon and some woman bought both of them while I was there at 3: 00. At $999 a pop. I know ANOTHER woman who bought two earlier this week. A couple of weeks ago, Walmarts in the area had AR-15s, Ruger ranch guns, and other semi-auto rifles in stock in all stores. Now all that are left are .22s. Try buying .223s anywhere. Academy had a ´never again´ policy on running out after Obama´s first election caused a run on ammo and guns - ´never again´ lasted until this week.

What´s happening with Obama´s jobs commission? It´s been 4 years, still no jobs and the labor force participation rate is back to 1980. I know Obama says he wants things done quick, but the results here look tardy.

Obama isn´t slowing down on gun control.
Whether he´s hiding behind the actions of an American madman, or personally peddling high-powered rifles to Mexico´s most violent drug gangs, Barack Obama fully intends to destroy the Second Amendment.
Three hundred people in Mexico have been MURDERED with the weapons Obama forced into the hands of the drug cartels.
Do you see "60 Minutes" asking him any hard questions?
Do you see Brian Williams demanding answers on the NBC Evening "News?"
Heard any hard questions coming from Diane Sawyer on ABC?
Is Wolf Blitzer breaking down the barricades for CNN, in the name of "investigative journalism?"
Any questions from PMSNBC?
Of course not.
The New York Times?
The WhiteWash Post?
The sickening truth is that reporters at ALL of these organizations will HAPPILY cover up the murders of 300 Mexicans, if it means destroying freedom here at home.
Why don´t they care?
Well, for one, the dead are MEXICANS.
Secondly, reporting on Obama getting Mexican Citizens murdered wouldn´t comport with their left-wing narrative. It should be a REPUBLICAN President shrugging with indifference over the deaths of 300 brown people. Telling the truth about Barack Obama would destroy that narrative.

WASHINGTON — Haynes Johnson, a pioneering Washington journalist who won a Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the civil rights movement and migrated from newspapers to television, books and teaching, died Friday. The FBI has arrested a San Antonio man on charges he lied to get into the United States and tried to get a sensitive Defense Department position. A FREE press in a democracy demands a delicate balance. The First Amendment means the media must have the right to inquire without hindrance. The government has a legitimate interest in keeping some national security information secret. When these come into conflict, the balance often has been struck this way: The media are free to pursue secrets, but it is up to those in government to keep them. The brutal murder of an off-duty soldier by two Muslim activists continues to dominate the news in Great Britain. The scene was utterly bizarre: in broad daylight, in a busy section of London, the two Muslims apparently ran the soldier down with a car, within a block or two of his barracks, and then attacked him with knives and a meat cleaver. A day after insurers complained that Kathleen Sebelius and the Obama administration had pressured them to fund Enroll America, a House committee sent them a request for more information on the matter. President Obama delivered an address today at the National Defense University called “The Future of our Fight Against Terrorism.” Actually, part of the speech was about the past, including much self-congratulation and some shots at President Bush. This part of the speech is revisionist rubbish. As Max Boot explains: Obama said, for example, that after he came into office, “we unequivocally banned torture, affirmed our commitment to civilian courts, worked to align our policies with the rule of law, and expanded our consultations with Congress.” Umm, actually all of that happened in Bush’s second term.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”
