Does Promise of Media
Coverage Encourage Mass Murder?

It goes against every fiber of my conservative nature to blame anyone or anything other than the evildoer for evildoing. But the media does not. Literally, within seconds of the awful Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting last Friday, the craven media was pushing an agenda blaming access to guns for this awful crime. Okay, then, if the media wants to open this door, let´s talk about how the media offers major incentives to go on a killing spree. Ask yourself this: What are the guaranteed promises the media makes to those willing to go on a shooting-spree targeting

All of the media publicity, 24/7 for days, plus the fly-in and comfort from the president of the United States....wowser! How a mentally disturbed nerd can go from nonentity to celebrity with just the shot of a gun! Wow.

I have a strong belief that some could fantasize about this kind of instant notoriety.

President Obama has arrived in Japan at the start of his latest Asia trip and was greeted by a familiar face: American Ambassador Caroline Kennedy. Mrs Kennedy stood alongside her husband Edwin Schlossberg, who still lives in New York in spite of his wife´s diplomatic posting in Tokyo but he flew over for the presidential visit. Rather than going straight for a formal welcome reception at a government building, the group headed to an iconic landmark of another sort. Obama and his dining partner, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, didn´t to have trouble scoring seats at Sukiyabashi Jiro. Scroll down

Republican congressional candidate Curt Clawson is telling President Obama that it´s "time to man up" and face him on the basketball court. Clawson, a former Purdue University basketball player, issued the challenge for a 3-point shooting contest after winning the Republican primary for the nomination to replace former Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.). “I am going to challenge you on spending. I am going to challenge you on economic growth,” said Clawson, according to USA Today. “But first, I am going to challenge you on the basketball court. It’s time to man up and accept the 3-point challenge. My house or

Last year employees at the federal office in charge of implementing Obamacare were given raises despite the massive failures of the rollout of the president´s takeover of our healthcare system. A recent Freedom of Information Act request made by the Washington Examiner discovered that employees of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) were paid substantially more in 2013 compared to their 2012 salaries. The CMS is Obama´s "ground zero in launching and managing Obamacare." The Examiner found that the payroll total for 2013 was $76 million, up from $69 million the previous year. It sure is Lupita Nyong´o´s year to shine! The first-time Oscar winner was crowned as this year´s "Most Beautiful" by People magazine. The mag announced who was awarded their prestigious honor Wednesday morning. "It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," Nyong´o said of gracing the cover. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on (it) and feel a little more seen." The 31-year-old actress has certainly proved this past year that she is beautiful both inside and out. Nyong´o received a ton of attention for her head-turning red carpet fashion and her incredibly moving

Given the current state of the USA, Republicans should be winning every election from Seattle to Key West. The economy hasn’t moved for years with the labor participation rate at record lows — people have given up – and bankruptcy over entitlements looming. The international situation is in free fall with China becoming the global power, Iran making a mockery of faux negotiations and Putin on the way to reconstituting the Soviet Union. Al Qaeda is not only alive, it’s growing. (GM is dead.) Optimism about our country is in the proverbial toilet. More Americans feel threatened by their own

The Drinking Age Is Past Its Prime

The age 21 rule sets the United States apart from all advanced Western nations, and it has pushed kids toward pills and other anti-social behavior. The National Minimum Drinking Age Act, passed by Congress 30 years ago this July, is a gross violation of civil liberties and must be repealed. It is absurd and unjust that young Americans can vote, marry, enter contracts, and serve in the military at 18 but cannot buy an alcoholic drink in a bar or restaurant. The age 21 rule sets the United States apart from all advanced Western nations and lumps it with small

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. She blamed the Obama administration

Public Trust: Sixty-one percent polled say President Obama lies "some of the time" or "most of the time" on matters of national importance. Americans have to ask: Why do we let him get away with it? It´s no surprise that a Fox News poll of 1,012 registered voters last week found immense distrust of a president whose main domestic initiative was based on a lie. The shock is that the same poll found his disapproval level down to its lowest since last fall. Asked, "How often do you think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters?" 37% replied "most of

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

Former Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.) said a number of junior GOP senators considering a presidential run in 2016 do not yet have the experience — specifically naming Rand Paul (Ky.), Marco Rubio (Fla.) and Ted Cruz (Texas). The former 1996 GOP presidential candidate sounded particularly skeptical of Cruz in an interview this week with The Wichita Eagle. "A number of the younger members, first-termers like Rand Paul, Rubio and that extreme-right-wing guy, Ted Cruz — all running for president now. I don´t think they´ve got enough experience yet," Dole said. The 90-year-old former senator said, however, his main concern about 2016 is living

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

Fraud runs rampant in Census Bureau

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning
