| The official Chinese government news agency, Xinhua, has demanded the US immediately adopt stricter gun control measures to reduce the number of firearms the US populace is permitted to possess. The Chinese state-controlled media’s statement, titled “Innocent Blood Demands No Delay for US Gun Control,” is primarily focused on the Newtown tragedy in which 26 Americans were killed by a mad gunman. Twenty of the victims were young children. The Chinese government stated, “Their blood and tears demand no delay for the U.S. gun control.” In an apparent effort to restrict information to their populace,

What happened in CT. was a tragedy caused by a person with a mental problem, who had a mother that was fascinated by guns. Now this coming from a country that has been known to kill its´ own people for opposing their gov´t. About like oranges and apples.

27 million hunters with guns scattered in every state of the country. That makes up a very formidable army that must be eliminated before totalitarian control can be implemented.

Exactly #10. When the Chinese government collects all the hunting, kitchen, and pocket knives that can be used to stab and kill children, then we´ll talk. As I recall, in just the last few weeks, China had their own "crazy" use a knife to stab children.

Chinese made AK-47 assault rifles are flooding Africa and the Middle East and, along with the deadly, Chinese made RPG, are the weapons of choice of jihadists every where. So, perhaps Chinese State Media, like our US State Media, will condem such weapons while other parts of the same governments make and distribute them.

CHICAGO — The Angus burger is going away, and it may not be the only McDonald´s dish on the chopping block. The world´s largest restaurant chain has also considered axing Caesar salads, the McSkillet Burrito, the Southern Style Biscuit and steak bagels, according to a franchisee email obtained by Bloomberg News. While the Angus burger contains as many as 820 calories and costs $4, the culling isn´t simply about offering healthier fare and cheaper items. It´s an effort by McDonald´s Corp. to streamline a menu that has expanded by 70 percent to about 145 items since 2007 — straining

You may have heard that there are a variety of scandals unfolding in Washington D.C. at the moment. Scandals swirling around the White House this week include revelations that the Internal Revenue Service singled out conservative groups for intimidation, that the Department of Justice may have expressed their frustration with the Associated Press by obtaining an absurdly wide swath of phone records, and the ever-unfolding scandal surrounding Benghazi and the administration’s response to that attack. With all these overwhelming controversies enveloping the executive branch, one question dominates in the media: When will Republicans overstep in their effort to criticize

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, former Obama chief of staff-turned-Treasury Secretary Jack Lew offered two conflicting yet carefully worded answers as to when he first learned that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had targeted Tea Party and conservative groups: he learned last week--and possibly before the 2012 election. Bloomberg´s Al Hunt asked Lew, whose Treasury Department oversees the IRS: “When were you first notified that IRS agents were targeting conservative groups like the Tea Party?” Instead of answering Hunt’s question directly, however, Lew instead chose to answer when he first learned about the IG report, a tactic

You can feel their pain as disillusioned devotees begin peeling Obama stickers from their bumpers, no longer anxious to share an identity with him as he slips further and further into a festering pool of scandal. For years these True Believers rationalized every faux pas and reckless word emanating from the White House, because to them none of it mattered in the greater light of his glorious incumbency. If he joked with Jay Leno about his inept bowling, saying “it was like the Special Olympics,” so what? If he dismissed his critics as “people who cling to their guns

A healthcare provider has sued the Internal Revenue Service and 15 of its agents, charging they wrongfully seized 60 million medical records from 10 million Americans. The name of the provider is not yet known, United Press International said. But Courthouse News Service said the suit claims the agency violated the Fourth Amendment in 2011, when agents executed a search warrant for financial data on one employee – and that led to the seizure of information on 10 million, including state judges. The search warrant did not specify that the IRS could take medical information, UPI said.

Michelle Obama, who admitted last month that her bangs were ´getting a little irritating,´ seems to have finally had enough of her five-month old haircut. The First Lady debuted her new longer ´do on Friday during her commencement address at Bowie State University. Her bangs, which she cut for her 49th birthday in January because of a ´midlife crisis,´ were grown out and parted to the side with her wavy hair slightly longer, touching her shoulders. ´This is my midlife crisis, the bangs. I couldn´t get a sports car,´ she told talk show host Rachael Ray

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The White House on Wednesday released 94 pages of emails between top administration and intelligence officials who helped shape the talking points about the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, that the CIA would provide to policymakers in both the legislative and executive branches. The documents, first reported by THE WEEKLY STANDARD in articles here and here, directly contradict claims by White House press secretary Jay Carney and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the revisions of those talking points were driven by the intelligence community and show heavy input from top Obama administration officials, particularly those at the State Department.

President Obama’s press conference in the rain was not a success, if by success, his supporters would mean an event which convinces anyone who doesn’t work for him that he’s getting ahead of the scandal deluge. The sight of a Marine holding an umbrella over his head only added to the weirdness of the event. So what did we learn? 1. He has full confidence in Attorney General Eric Holder, the man who purportedly recused himself (whenever) without putting it in writing (whatever). When asked about the untrammeled snooping on Associated Press reporters and editors,

“I look forward to taking some questions at tomorrow’s press conference,” President Obama said last night, after announcing the resignation of the acting IRS commissioner Steven Miller. The president scheduled a noon press conference today with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in honor of his visit. Reporters, however, found themselves waiting outside in the rain for Obama, who was 47 minutes late. Only New York Times reporter Mark Landler had an umbrella.
