Benghazi report could tarnish Clinton’s legacy

| The Benghazi report released Tuesday night bemoans “systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies” in Hillary Clinton´s State Department that could come back to haunt her should she run for president in 2016. Clinton remains one of the nation´s most popular politicians and has worked tirelessly to improve America´s image abroad following President George W. Bush´s tenure. The independent review of the Sept. 11 attack, however, tarnishes that legacy by faulting the department for failing to put in place a coordinated approach for handling security, even if it does not single anyone out for disciplinary action.

I realize I´m breaking the rules and posting without reading the article however, I just can´t bring myself to read anything that begins with that tired lie that Geroge Bush "tarnished" our country´s image.

What #1 said. BTW, WHAT "legacy" of hillary´s could possibly be "tarnished"? Her ONLY "legacy" is a pathetic figment of the delusional-imagination of bottom-feeders toiling away at the "hill" and other Pravda-like "news-sources". Sheesh!

Tarnished legacy is just a drop in the bucket for that woman. Every thought I have of her is dishonorable. Not one thing you can praise her for.

# 1, Alta D, also agree with not bothering to read another Move On style article on a woman whose only skills are self-promotion, deceit and self-aggrandizement. If Hillary has any legacy, it will be that when you sand away her veneer of Teflon, you´ll find an almost totally Teflon core. There is just enough non-Teflon to allow money and power to adhere to her.
But she has replaced the power of her grand jury "pink dress" with the power of the concussion.

Oh give it up, this crap about legacy is just that, crap, she did a job poorly and will not have to pay the price that others have paid when they did a job poorly. She is not this omnipotent. I am sick of these people who go into government/politics and now are seen as these great people of time. They are not, in fact they are probably the seediest of society.

The DAKAT can not think, read, or write. Their Modus operendi leans towards blo, sloth and riots

Tarnish? Hilary´s chickens are coming home to roost. Juanita Broderick said that after Bill raped her - Hilary came over to her and said, "thanks for all that you have done for Bill" and refused to let go of her hand. Broderick said she felt a " chill of evil." She failed the DC Bar and could not get a recommendation after Watergate because of unethical behavior. She represents the Kakistocracy that have taken over America. Time to destroy any chances of her running for POTUS- TRUTH.

Benghazi will not tarnish Hillary´s record. In fact, it should embellish or enhance her continuous legacy of destruction. She has destroyed every thing she has worked with, except for Bill, and he was already screwed up. Tarnish no - embellish with continuation - yes!

Nothing is going to tarnish Hillary´s "legacy". Nothing happens to Democrats. Nothing will happen to Obama, Holder or any of the other miscreants in the Democratic government administration, culture, Hollywood, mass media, etc. etc. There are no consequences for Democrats, any "minority" group, illegal alien invaders, welfare cheats. American culture and the rule of law are totally gone except for dead or living white men. America is in a total death spiral to oblivion. We are finished. Dead except for commies, socialists, celebrities and brown nosing "liberal" butt kissers, sycophants and brainwashed toadies and stooges. America and Israel go, the world is finished. We will all be part of the Chinese and Islamofascist anthill. No one in America has the guts or manhood to stand up against any of this. We´re as good as dead. It´s a living hell now.

Earlier this week, Roger L. Simon of Pajamas Media broke a story with shocking revelations, contending that slain U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens was in Benghazi on September 11 to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups that had been originally provided to them by the U.S. State Department. Simon cited two former U.S. diplomats: Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA.

New emails between Internal Revenue Service officials released Wednesday as part of congressional testimony give a better view of who knew of the screening of conservative tea party groups and the search terms being used, and when they knew it. The documents also show a bit of the process the IRS used in such situations, but do not answer the question at the heart of the controversy – who made the decision to search for such groups and why. The string of emails is from early June 2011, sparked by a request from Holly Paz,

WASHINGTON — As they watched President Obama lumber into controversy over mandating contraception coverage last winter, some White House staffers were banging their heads against the wall. The lawyers had done it again. Tensions between operatives and the lawyers hired to protect them from legal trouble are a constant in politics. But as President Obama’s beleaguered aides look for someone to blame in an escalating series of scandals, former political, communications, and policy officials complained to BuzzFeed that one culprit is a balance that has tilted too far toward the lawyer, allowing avoidable controversies to boil over.

With Anthony Weiner about to pop into the race for mayor, one of his Democratic rivals demanded yesterday that he pony up $350,000 for the cost of the election required to fill his hastily vacated congressional seat two years ago. Weiner resigned under pressure in June 2011 after it was disclosed he was tweeting lewd pictures of himself to women he’d met on the Internet. In the special election held that September to replace him, Republican Bob Turner pulled off a stunning upset victory over Democrat David Weprin. Taxpayers were stuck with the $350,000 election tab,

After a week of revelations about government spying on reporters and the Internal Revenue Service targeting conservatives, most voters feel “like the federal government has gotten out of control and is threatening the basic civil liberties of Americans.” At the same time, a new Fox News poll finds disapproval of President Obama’s job performance is above 50 percent for the first time in a year, his honesty rating is at a new low and half of voters already think he’s a lame-duck.

The New York Times editorial board has condemned the Obama administration for threatening press freedom in the wake of revelations that the Justice Dept. seized phone records belonging to Fox News reporter James Rosen. "With the decision to label a Fox News television reporter a possible ´co-conspirator´ in a criminal investigation of a news leak, the Obama administration has moved beyond protecting government secrets to threatening fundamental freedoms of the press to gather news," the board wrote in an editorial published on Wednesday. Noting past Obama administration intrustions into press freedom, including the Justice Dept.´s

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. What was a DHS agent doing at the San Jose Tea Party protest? (snip) they weren´t just spying on us in San Jose and monitoring us in San Francisco, they were watching us throughout the entire state

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping
