| The Department of Defense has launched a investigation into allegations that a top intelligence official who is on the shortlist to head the CIA possibly revealed sensitive information about the Bin Laden raid to the creators of the upcoming thriller Zero Dark Thirty. Pentagon press secretary George Little said Tuesday evening that the probe into Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence Michael Vickers is being conducted by the Pentagon´s inspector general, not the Justice Department as it was previously reported. Little insisted that Vickers only provided unclassified information to the makers of Zero Dark Thirty, and that the session was arranged

Nato has handed over security for the whole of Afghanistan for the first time since the Taliban were ousted in 2001.
