Front of NRA´s DC Office

Around 60 to 75 protesters appeared in front of the National Rifle Association´s headquarters in Washington D.C. on Monday afternoon. Chanting "shame on the NRA," the the small group, led by the organization CREDO, met several blocks away from the NRA´s Capitol Hill office and marched up to the doors of the NRA building. The protest, a reaction triggered by the deadly school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, started at noon and lasted until 1:30 PM. "The NRA takes tens of millions in corporate donations from gun makers and uses that money to lobby Congress and defeat anyone who opposes

Band of idiots.

IMO, the answer is more guns.

I think a better solution is trying to cut out all the violent movies, TV and video, and start getting mentally ill people and criminals off the street.

We can´t fix stupid. Ignore those morons. Buy a firearm today. Buy some firearm stocks as they are low now but will come roaring back. Buy some ammo, magazines, join a shooting club, start the process to obtain the ´permit´.
Let´s all do this to show we won´t be pushed around by the stupid. Let all your liberal ´friends´ know that we´re buying even more now.It will drive them more crazy than they already are.

If the media is reporting that ´´60 to 75´´ protestors were there, then it probably means about 20.

I´m getting a new pistol for Christmas, and finally joining the NRA. It´s time to take a stand (while I still can)!!!!!

I have never heard the NRA indicate in any way that they favor allowing mentally ill people being able to purchase, possess, or use any sort of firearms.

FTA: "The NRA takes tens of millions in corporate donations from gun makers and uses that money to lobby Congress and defeat anyone who opposes any gun-related law whatsoever."
-CREDO´s Josh Nelson

Well, aside from being a flat-out lie, how about this:

"Planned Parenthood takes tens of millions in taxpayer-funded revenues and uses that money to lobby Congress and defeat anyone who opposes any pro-life law whatsoever."
-BaseballFan

Mr. Nelson seems to have a problem with how PRIVATE donations are made. Does he also have a problem with the millions of innocent unborn babies have been slaughtered by "doctors" over the years? I´d say the fatality rate in abortion clinics is astronomically higher than it is in any other single place.

#4, better to start the ´process´ to force your state to recognize the 2nd amendment codified right of citizens to bear arms and teach them what ´shall not be infringed´ means.
For those mush-minded who think ´common sense´ laws are needed - exactly how are criminals kept from weapons when they don´t jump through the hoops? And all those laws against murder, rape and robbery really keep people safe from would-be criminals who are stopped by those laws, right? All those ´common sense´ gun laws do is keep people disarmed and let the government know who among the law-abiding citizenry have weapons.

There are a lot of organizations in the DC area that exist to take away our constitutional rights. The NRA is one of the few fighting to retain our rights.

Is that all you got?!

Maybe they are afraid that the people inside have guns.

Hahahahahahahaha

Interest is already waning. In a month, it will be "Newtown, what´s that???"

One or more of the parents will become anti-gun activists (we have one here in CO from Columbine), and they´ll go around the country preaching to anti-gun groups, and possibly testifying at hearings. With any luck they´ll be ineffective.

Most Americans recognize that guns aren´t the problem. The problem is crazies with weapons - guns, knives, swords, hammers, ice picks, cars, screwdrivers, bricks etc.

Keeping crazies away from weapons is primarily a family problem. Empower families to commit mentally-ill relatives.

Since they were so concerned about gun crimes, they were there to JOIN the NRA and help pressure lying Democrats like Bloomberg, don´t kid yourself he is a Democrat, and Emanuel, to pass Project Exile instead of plea bargaining down gun crimes. The liberal, Democrats haven´t done a darn thing about criminals shooting, robbing and raping anyone unfortunate enough to live in almost any American city where the law abiding citizen is unarmed, but the sadistic criminals aren´t. Buy a clue anti-gun nuts.

Good, every red blooded American Patriot needs to protest in support of the NRA! These selfless politicians are trying to robs of our liberties and rights! This is what happens when you put a Marxist in charge of your country...how did we ever get here?

Good time for the NRA to hand out free memberships again for numbers. They can attach a petition to the email.

Meet the Women for Weiner. The former congressman, who apologized for the lewd picture scandal that ended his House career before launching a bid last month for New York City mayor, is holding a fundraiser hosted by “Women for Anthony” next week at the Manhattan home of an education activist and philanthropist. The host committee is led by his wife, Huma Abedin, and includes her sister, Heba; Rory Tahari, wife of designer Elie Tahari; and Cheryl Saban, the wife of California-based mega-donor Haim Saban, who funded a short film lauding Hillary Clinton’s tenure at the State Department

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Known as the City of the Century, it was once the centre of the country´s booming steel industry. But now Gary, Indiana, lies in ruins as a tragic example of American industrial decline. Authorities are desperately looking at new ways to combat the city´s crippling recession - one possiblity could be halving its size. Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson believes letting vast expanses of the city, founded in 1906 by the US Steel Corporation, return to nature might be a solution. ´I’d like to see 100,000 folks in Gary. That’d be great,´ the mayor said reported NBC News.

News reports from the final debate between Democrat Ed Markey and Republican Gabriel Gomez conclude that Gomez, a first-time candidate and self-styled "new kind of Republican," delivered a strong performance. With just days left in the campaign before the June 25 special election for Senate, Gomez has trailed Markey, a 37-year veteran of the House, in every single poll. Markey currently leads by average of more than 9 points. But in the debate Tuesday night, Gomez hit Markey hard on the Democrat´s long Washington tenure, a running theme in the Republican´s campaign. The Obama administration has reportedly tried to enlist the NBA in helping it sell Obamacare to the American people. It’s unclear whether a potential marketing partnership would put big-name players at the center of ad campaigns or if it would be as simple as putting the NBA trademark on marketing materials, Politico first reported today. People can begin signing up for Obamacare in October, with the new insurance coverage kicking in next year. Many have speculated that the enrollment campaigns would benefit from a celebrity endorsement or partnership with a major sports league.

Guides have dropped "God" from their Girl Guides´ Promise. In a multicultural and individualist age, the thinking goes, the movement should pledge "to be true to myself and develop my beliefs". None of that guff about God and country. It´s now all about "Me" and the anything goes spirituality. Hindu, Druid, New Ager, Muslim, Christian: everything´s the same these days. We´ve seen it elsewhere. Druids and Christians are accorded equal rights in the workplace: when a Druid employee, say, wants time off to go to Stonehenge for the Solstice, the boss must treat her the same

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
