| They won the campaign handily and even had $14.2 million to spare, but the Obama-Biden campaign is still raising money, this time off the president´s comments about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Connecticut. In email from chief campaign advisor David Axelrod that urges supporters to watch President Obama´s moving address to the community of Newtown, there are two links that open a page with a video player featuring the president´s speech and two donate buttons asking for $15-$1,000 for his campaign. Nothing surprises me anymore.
Can someone explain to me why he´d be campaign fundraising? He´s supposed to be out in 2016. Is there something the rest of us don´t know about the two term limit on the presidency?

I thought there was a federal law against raising money once the election was over!!! Maybe I am wrong or maybe they don´t care about the law!!!!
That is shameful to use the death of these children and teachers to profit for yourself.

This won´t happen, but we should pass a federal law stating that any monies left over by presidential candidates and congressional candidates who either lose their seat or retire/remove/die in office must be turned over to the federal treasury and used to pay the federal debt.
That should cover about three minutes of federal debt.
