| CORPUS CHRISTI — Carroll High School and Kostoryz Elementary School was placed on lockdown Monday morning as a precaution while Corpus Christi police search for a male who was seen screaming and pulling a suitcase at the corner of Tiger and Carroll lanes. Corpus Christi ISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke said the schools were put into lockdown after city police contacted them about an active search for a suspect. Corpus Christi Police Senior Officer Kirk Stowers said police received a call about 10:41 a.m. about the man. Stowers didn´t have details about what the man may have been screaming.

There were the beginnings of gang problems in San Angelo when I started teaching 20 yrs ago....the cops eventaully put all the out of state gang leaders/recruiters in jail and that was that....the upshot of all this was cops on campus.
Officers on their day off would serve for pay,armed and mace capable as well, in the building, all day everyday and they do so to this day.
What exactly is the problem with this country that they cannot see how one armed cop( whose child usually is at the same school) deters all sorts of things?
Because they are "brainwashed´ ,to use the Holder terminology, about guns.
Folks from Texas are polite, and courtesy and good manners are never out of style....an armed society is indeed a polite society.

Los Angeles County coroner´s officials said Wednesday the body recovered from a fiery, single-car crash in Hollywood that apparently killed journalist Michael Hastings will likely undergo an autopsy Thursday. But an official cause of death and closure of the case is not likely for four to six weeks or perhaps longer, they said. An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.
