NBC News to Obama: How

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by John Nolte

As we learned during the election, Barack Obama can always count on NBC News to help him navigate his way to whatever victory he seeks. This morning, NBC´s First Read -- written by Chuck Todd and others -- is all within the context of winning the argument over the passage of laws that would restrict the law-abiding from purchasing the ability to defend themselves -- in other words, having access to guns. [emphasis added]: [T]he White House is possibly considering. “One possibility likely to be considered is a ban on high-capacity magazines, the devices attached to firearms

Comments:
How I despise these leftists. Banning assault rifles and those that have a high capacity magazines would be just the beginning of their ultimate goal. We all know what that is.

This is why I cancelled cable. I hate subsidizing the Left.

Plenty of other ways to get news AND entertainment these days, on my terms.

Usually when they craft bills about gun control, the idiots doing the crafting have NO knowledge of firearms and the language is un-enforcable. I will gladly turn in all my "devices attached to firearms that store large numbers of bullets".

They can´t even get the definition of a magazine right.

In order for the won to put his political opponents in prison, as Harry Belfonte envisions, we must first be disarmed.

Obama and the rest of these Marxists don´t want gun removal to make society safer; they want gun removal so there can be no uprising.

Obama is already responsible for the slaughter of millions of unborn AND born children and acts as if he cares about human life. HE DOESN´T! Nothing is sacred with Marxist Democrats, not life, not God, not marriage, not family, not the Constitution, not freedom, not the flag... NOTHING. So don´t even think about telling me how compassionate and caring he is! IT IS A LIE!

Destruction of this nation is on his agenda and he´s well on the way of accomplishing it... thanks to idiots who have no clue what he´s doing and voted him into power again.

If our benevolent goobernment outlaws assault weapons (whatever that is) large capacity magazines and other scary looking stuff, will nut jobs still be able to commit mass murder? Of course cause the problem isn´t scary looking guns but nut jobs. Address the problem, not the tools used by the problem.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, any 12 year old with access to a 3D printer will be able to produce illegal magazines easily.

Why won´t the clowns in Washington address the real issues? (hint- culture)

The liberals love to chip-away at the rights we´ve all been given, but do they realize that the "right" to privacy, which begets the abortion legalization argument could be just as easily be substituted in this attack on the 2nd amendment?

Heard they´d like to have tests given, each year, to ensure the mental stability of the legal gun owner. Yup.

Puts it into the medical rhelm like any other "disease".

Interesting thing is those same liberals are against institutionalizing the mentally ill.

Don´t be fooled. This extreme idea is simply to make the compromise look less onerous, and thus, palatable.

In other words, what they are saying is that the liberal Democrats should push a "comprehensive" bill. Anytime you hear the word "comprehensive" you know that the liberal Democrats are seeking to overreach. Also they want a fast "comprehensive" bill, and anytime that happens, you know that the liberal Democrats are getting ready to try to push through bad law.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the U.S. military and American intelligence agencies have quietly pushed the White House in recent weeks to deny a new Russian surveillance plane the right to fly over U.S. territory. This week, the White House finally began consideration of the decision whether to certify the new Russian aircraft under the so-called “Open Skies Treaty.” And now the question becomes: Will the spies and generals get their way? As the United States and Russia face off publicly over Ukraine, behind the scenes, President Obama’s national security cabinet is having its own quiet feud over a

WASHINGTON—Speaker John Boehner and other senior House Republicans are telling donors and industry groups that they aim to pass immigration legislation this year, despite the reluctance of many Republicans to tackle the divisive issue before the November elections. Many lawmakers and activists have assumed the issue was off the table in an election year. But Mr. Boehner said at a Las Vegas fundraiser last month he was "hellbent on getting this done this year," according to two people in the room. A spokesman for Mr. Boehner didn´t dispute the account but said no action is possible until President Barack Obama

One of the few laws of political science is that when governments make mistakes, they tend to be whoppers. Luckily for them, the public’s memory is short, and the outrage of today soon declines into the apathy of tomorrow. From several articles published in a recent edition of the British Medical Journal, it appears that many governments around the world, including those of Britain and the US, may have made such a mistake in stockpiling billions of dollars’ worth of anti-flu medications, bought principally from Roche, the largest pharmaceutical company in the world as measured by capitalization. First the governments overestimated the

Conservative leader and Catholic L. Brent Bozell III today blasted Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for mimicking the pope´s Holy Week foot-washing tradition while touting her immigration reform legislation: "I am a Catholic and I am offended at Minority Leader Pelosi´s continued abuses of the Catholic Church´s teachings and traditions. As a Catholic who has watched Ms. Pelosi champion one anti-Catholic cause after another, I believe this to be sacrilegious. "Christ taught the washing of the feet as an act of utter humility, while she turned a sacred religious tradition into a grandstanding political publicity stunt.

Your friendly neighborhood columnist has once again run afoul of Facebook’s elusive community standards. Now before you call up the preacher and put me on the church prayer list – let me assure the posting was neither unseemly nor ungentlemanly. This time I was censored for writing something about Rancher Cliven Bundy. I realized I had landed in the Facebook gulag when I tried to post our daily Bible verse. However, I was unable to post anything because Facebook had taken great offense to something I had written. “We removed something your page posted,” Facebook told me in a rather unpleasant message.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

Rep. Colleen Hanabusa (D-HI) says her constituents are "frustrated and embarrassed" by Hawaii´s failed Obamacare exchange, which cost taxpayers $204 million and signed up only 8,000 people. On Wednesday, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) announced it will launch an investigation into Hawaii´s busted Obamacare program. "This is not a partisan issue, this is an economic issue," said state Sen. Sam Slom. Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie previously predicted "hundreds of thousand of people" would sign up for Obamacare in the President´s home state. On Thursday, President Barack Obama tried to rally Democrats to

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively
