| When it comes to metaphors for the Obama administration, it is hard to top the rise and fall of Susan Rice. Her ascension to the inner circle was born of her loyalty to candidate Obama, and she failed to become secretary of state because she was loyal to President Obama instead of the truth. Her demise offers a clinic about the dangers of ambitious amateurs playing politics, but that amounts to a hill of beans to the White House. The sacrifice of Rice is just another bump in the road to shielding Obama from accountability for the Benghazi debacle.

Two truths buried in this story are the most important: Obama gave 20 F16’s to Morsi, and in Benghazi he was running arms to al Queda in Syria. He is arming our enemies, the Islamists sworn to killing us.

St. susan indeed....
It´s all playing out the way obama wanted...
AND -- her highness hillary´s fall and concession is a joke. She´s a lush and has had many falls while in office. She fell and hurt her arm on the White House sidewalk -- she fell while entering Air Force One -- now WE are expected to believe that she had a virus and she fainted and got a concession???
That´s what happens when you drink to much. You fall down a lot. I wonder if now that she´s fallen -- will she be able to "get up" to bat for 2016?

She´ll probably get a huge pay-off for acting as cover for Kerry. Like other L-dotters, I think the Susan Rich thing was just another distraction. A well-worn tactic of this administration.

Obama plays the Repubs like a fiddle. If Rice had had to go thru confirmation the Repub weenies would then have had to confront Obama on Benghzi. I believe God is letting Obama strut and strut big on the world stage...like a god. Too bad so many good Christian blacks are snookered by him. But that is always the case..as Jamie Foxx said about race..it is everything. The black messiah is just that..black in color. Blacks worship black and so does the popular culture. Anything that is profane, anti American, anti Christian, anti Israel and anti middle class is favored by the world. And many in the middle class go along. The only safe group to demonize is white, Christian middle class people. We are the devil to the world. And, so many Catholics, liberal Protestants and white union members would join the Dems in the march to end our time on earth. That day will indeed happen. It is called The Rapture in my church, even tho the world is not in the Bible. The ´act´ is described in easily understood words. So, hand on Christians. We are in the world but not of the world. This is not our home. Thank You LORD.

Exactly #1. Jets to Morsi while he imprisons Christians. Weapons to al Queda. Support of African regimes against their own people. Releasing terrorists from Gitmo. Failure to prosecute the Ft Hood shooter. Running guns to Mexico, whose drug lords are in cahoots with al Queda in South America. Guns are now in the hands of these terrorists infiltrating America. They have auto AK47´s...we have semi autos. And also, he wants to disarm Americans while the sleeper cells have guns. Iranian terrorists are infiltrating America thru Mexico. Attacking free speech by siding with Islam, on defamation of religion speech. He has never set one foot in Israel and refuses to meet with its Prime Minister.

I continue to believe that the sacrifice of Susan Rice was the work of Val Jarrett. Val could not tolerate another nasty black woman in the power circle, so val designated Susan to be the spokescritter for those sunday shows, knowing that the truth would come out quickly. That knocked Susan Rice out of the running for Hillary´s job, and eliminated her from the power circle of President Zero. The next move might be to send her away, and replace her at the UN with some other lackey.

Benghazi is very similar to the Iran Contra affair during the Reagan administration. The Obama administration armed al Qaeda fighters for action in Syria against the Assad regime, so that the US did not have to get officially involved in the conflict. Obama kept this policy secret, as he didn´t relish the bad press he´d get from arming terrorists with munitions left over from the Gaddafi regime. It´s actually a reasonable policy, but the spooks left embassy staff hung out to dry, and Obama couldn´t tell the public the truth about it.

The Sec. o. A pawn is a sacrificial piece in a chess game. Barack Obama sacrificed Susan Rice in his game to name Jon Kerry as Secretary of State and to hide the truth of what he did not do to protect Americans in Benghazi. Barack Obama is a prime example of why Americans fear ever giving up our right to own and bear arms.

If only there was a modicum of balance in the performance of the press in reporting anything, anything, it would be different.
My local daily paper, whose readership is within the three most Republican counties in New York did not deign to report, at all, on confirmation of Gov. Scott Walker in the Wisconsin recall election, when asked why it was omitted.
From the editor; "While many believe this to be an enormous story, our editors who were on that night did not feel that way." Further, when I suggested the papers editors were all too much of a mind to recognize the unfairness of the omission, he wrote, "Don’t really have the time to take part in the conspiracies that so many accuse the media of these days."
I am considering not renewing my subscription (due this month) but, for this octogenarian it is my only source of obituaries recording the passage of my friends and acquaintances.

I contend that Rice is a diversion, but I wouldn´t go so far as to say she wasn´t O´s choice for SOS. Kerry is a punt. And a payoff.
As the mentioned on the Home Page:"... shielding Obama from accountability for the Benghazi debacle. is what all the chess piece movement is about, because, I believe, we wouldn´t find that it was Obama who was responsible, but ValJar, and that would be bad optics, indeed.

Nurses treating Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev say their natural inclination toward compassion makes it difficult to see the 19-year-old as a possible terrorist. And they have to make concerted effort — and buddy-system pacts — to keep from referring to him with terms of endearment such as “hon.” One 29-year-old nurse said on Gawker: “When you’re in the room, it’s just a patient. You’re here to … make sure they’re feeling better. When you step away, you take it in. I am compassionate, that’s what we do. But should I be? The rest of the world hates him right now.”

The government will use any and all information at its disposal to find journalist sources, as shown in The Washington Post´s report this morning on a Department of Justice investigation into Fox News chief correspondent James Rosen, who may face criminal charges for reporting government secrets. In June 2009, Rosen reported on CIA analysis suggesting that North Korea might respond to new UN sanctions with renewed nuclear tests. In order to determine how Rosen learned of the analysis, which had been issued by the CIA only a few hours prior, FBI investigators used every tool at their disposal: analyzing

Last Thursday, Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) started a Twitter prairie fire with his call for people to describe #ObamacareInThreeWords. (My contribution was “Sorry, Doctor retired.”) (Snip) The White House, never shy to jump into social media, responded with a flurry of tweets, including “It’s. The. Law.” which smacked, more than anything, of typical Obama chest-thumping. Is the administration sure they want to aggressively take credit for a law which, for almost the entire three years since its passage, has had more Americans supporting its repeal than supporting the law itself and which, according to Rasmussen Reports

PORTLAND, Ore.—In the 1950s, after health authorities began fluoridating U.S. water supplies, they faced opposition from groups like the John Birch Society, which called it "an unconstitutional mass medication of the public." Sixty years later, the fight over fluoridation has erupted in Portland, where the battle has drawn in the city´s craft-beer brewers, organic-food purveyors and environmentalists. Even some of the city´s famed indie-rock musicians are taking sides. The debate has prompted something of an existential crisis in this self-consciously liberal city, which votes Tuesday on whether to overturn the city council´s 2012 decision to fluoridate.

I first saw the headline early Tuesday on Real Clear Politics, a political news site where I generally start my morning. It´s not where I expect to see a story on breast cancer. Then I checked my e-mail messages -- they all seemed to be about Angelina Jolie´s op-ed. Students in my undergraduate class wanted to discuss it in our next session. Colleagues expressed concern and wondered what the right response was. People I don´t even know sent e-mails. One, from a research fellow at the International Agency for Research on Cancer, nicely summed up the general concern:

The late columnist William Safire once said that a good clue that someone in Washington was engaged in “an artful dodge,” i.e., a cover-up, was that they used the phrase “mistakes were made.” Safire defined it as a “passive-evasive way of acknowledging error while distancing the speaker from responsibility for it.” The phrase became infamous when both Richard Nixon and Ron Ziegler, his press secretary, deployed it to explain away Watergate without explaining who did what and when or whether any ill motive was involved. Astonishingly, the Internal Revenue Service resurrected the Nixonian expression within hours

Just when you think the news surrounding Obamagate cannot get any worse, it does. Some say U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s days on the job are numbered and that it’s just a matter of when he’ll be forced to resign. While I’ll not shed a tear over Holder’s departure, one of the replacement names being floated has me reaching for tissues: Gov. Deval Patrick. Patrick has denied he’s interested — but the job isn’t on offer yet. If it is, President Obama should not select him nor should he be confirmed by the Senate for a plethora of reasons.

What did President Obama do on the evening of 9/11/12 when our men were under attack in Benghazi? The invaluable Andrew McCarthy reminds us that Obama and Secretary Clinton had a 10:00 p.m. phone call of which many (including, I think, Chris Wallace) have lost sight. This morning when Wallace asked Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer what Obama was up to that evening, Pfeiffer declared the line of inquiry “offensive.” Translation: Obama and his minions would prefer to “move on” and are warning the likes of FNC off:(Snip for video)The Weekly Standard’s Daniel Halper has posted the rush transcript

WASHINGTON – The Internal Revenue Serviced scandal today spread further within the White House and closer to President Obama. White House spokesman Jay Carney today disclosed that Obama’s chief of staff, Dennis McDonough, and other top White House officials had advance warning that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. But he insisted McDonough and the other White House officials purposely kept Obama out of the loop.McDonough “rightly chose not to take action” to inform Obama, Carney told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

A senior adviser to President Obama mounted a combative defense of the administration on Sunday, saying the controversies enveloping the White House were the result of Republican lawmakers’ trying to “drag Washington into a swamp of partisan fishing expeditions, trumped-up hearings and false allegations.”The remarks came from Dan Pfeiffer, a member of the president’s inner circle, as he appeared on all five major Sunday morning talk shows in an effort to move the administration past what commentators have described as a “hell week” of controversy and missteps.

Stuart Varney said this morning on "Varney & Co." that one of his producers was given a questionnaire with some surprisingly intrusive questions on it when he switched doctors. One of the questions was whether he/she was concerned about unsecured weapons in the home. Another asked whether he/she was "in a relationship in which you have been physically hurt or are you afraid of your partner?" Judge Andrew Napolitano explained that the question about guns comes out of a post-Sandy Hook executive order by President Obama, but it will be required under Obamacare. Varney expressed amazement
