Washington - President Barack Obama plans to travel to Newtown, Connecticut, on Sunday to meet with families of the victims of a Friday school shooting that was one of the deadliest such incidents in the nation´s history. The White House said in a statement Obama will speak at a 7 p.m. EST Sunday interfaith vigil for families of the victims and other students from Sandy Hook Elementary School, which was attacked on Friday by a heavily armed gunman. In his weekly radio and internet address earlier on Saturday, Obama said it was time to "take meaningful action to prevent

Comments:
Will this interfere with Sunday night football, "60-Mintues"? Oh, the humanity. It´ll be interesting to see what "interfaith" is and what images are visible around 0bama.

I do think it is appropriate (even given the fact of a photo op). What is not appropriate is his entourage. Considering the circumstances of what these people have gone through, he should have the guts to go it alone. Take an example of Queen Elizabeth.

[I wouldn´t take Obama using my kid´s grave as a stage with any graciousness at all. It would be ugly. This is disgraceful]

You know what, I think he is getting a little bit better at this President thing. I don´t know if it will last, but he shows signs of caring about something other than ideology. Maybe it´s just the shock of election season and it will wear off. But to be fair, I think he is getting slightly better and so is Michelle.

Don´t be ridiculous. EVERY President does this and the families always seem to appreciate that the President of the US, no matter who he is, honors their lost family member.

#5, there were 4 handguns and an assault rifle found in the school the State Police said today. I would call that ´heavily armed´. All victims were killed with the rifle and were each hit from 3-7 times the Medical Examiner said.

So does this mean Obozo will apologize for selling weapons to Mexican drug cartels that killed thousands of women, children and men with? Will Obozo then proceed to arrest himself for his crimes? If so then that would be a positive move in the right direction.

Yes, all Presidents do this. However, THIS President picks and chooses WHICH Americans, which state gets his attention. There is zippity-do-dah for a Marine, who is ALIVE and chained to his bed in a cell in a desperately dangerous Mexican prison this very minute.
Funny how there is no human sympathy or help for a soldier who is being treated so shamefully by an "ally". Oh well, he will enjoy being amongst mostly Obama voters tomorrow.

Since Obama is bringing an entourage, it is clear he plans on being God the Saviour for the grieving families... by declaring a temporary ban on all guns.... that seems like forever.

The 23 states asking to secede need to bond together & form a new nation, based on the constitution.

We´ve got four more years of this nightmare, every oppertunity for the public to idolize him will be taken. The press will continue to fawn, they have no guilt, he is their messiah.
Meanwhile, the country is near collapse, the debt has zoomed beyond repair. Our so called "leaders" are afraid to speak out, scared of being labeled racists.
As the press continues to re-run his comments and say that he wept....all I saw was crocodile tears.

Every American knows Obama has been indoctrinated in the philosophy of "never let a crisis go to waste."
Bill Clinton probably told him to get his rear end in front of the camera ASAP to take advantage of the massacre.

Clinton demonstrated the professional way while leaving the funeral of Ron Brown.

Note how Obama wipes a non-existent tear from the corner of his eye (as the teleprompter instructs), just as Bubba did when he spotted a camera.

He has no business going there just two days after the horrible shooting and grieving parents trying to get their arms around what they just lost. He´s only going there to exploit the tragedy to make a push for gun control, using poor dead kids as a prop. This is shameless beyond words.

The same people supposedly grieving over this from a distance also support abortion on demand and late term abortion.Abortion devalues human life and desensitizes people to the value of life.

Kids are shot all the time by drive by gangbangers and you don´t hear a peep from the left about it because it exposes the foolishness of banning handguns and people still getting them. Bloomberg blames other states for people in NYC for having guns.Nothing to do with the subculture.

Washington - The CIA’s former top lawyer disputes Senate findings that the spy agency lied about its brutal interrogations of terrorists, insisting the tactics produced useful intelligence and flatly denying that the CIA misled the former Bush administration, Congress and the American public. At the same time, John Rizzo, who left the CIA as acting general counsel in 2009, said some CIA employees or contractors were overzealous in the use of the tactics but that the CIA informed lawyers at the Justice Department of the excesses. Rizzo was responsible for helping to create the legal foundation for permitting waterboarding,

General Motors Co said it would ask a U.S. court to bar lawsuits related to actions before its 2009 bankruptcy, signaling a tougher stance toward legal claims stemming from its recent recall over faulty ignition switches. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the
