The case for John Kerry
as secretary of state

Washington Post, by David Ignatius

What kind of secretary of state would Sen. John Kerry make? That’s the question of the moment after U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice’s surprise decision Thursday to withdraw her name from consideration, making Kerry the likely nominee. Kerry is a familiar figure to America and the world. He has been a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for nearly three decades. This very familiarity can seem something of a liability: the lean face, the patrician bearing, the status as a presidential also-ran. But the fact that Kerry is a known

Comments:
Let´s face it. With this regime we aren´t going to like any of their horrible, radical candidates. How depressing.

What´s one more gutless traitor in an Administration that´s full of them?

That´s all I can come up with at the moment.

He´ll probably try to award himself the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Ditto #3. High treason should be a big disqualification, but it probably won´t be!

Enter Terayyyyyza and her drunken raisins on the diplomatic scene. Still funding the Tides Foundation and all its Earth First! animal rights anti-drilling agenda.

And get a load of Kerry´s top aide, one Fulton Armstrong, the man who protected DIA traitor Ana Montes for years as she funneled all our secrets to Castro and made pro-Castro foreign policy. Some state dept people won´t even work with Armstrong in the room, his endorsements of Castro policies are that lockstep. He´s a likely traitor if there ever was one.

Meanwhile, David Ignatius thinks Kerry should take Obama windsurfing. Gack.

If that´s the case it sure presents Massachusetts Guv DEval Patrick with a juicy chance to appoint someone to Kerry´s Senate seat. Now...which Kennedy shall it be?

He has experience from his days meeting with the enemy in Paris during the Vietnam War, in violation of American law, especially since he was a reserve officer at the time.

Kerry is well suited to oversee the mutilation & disbanding of the worlds best military. Using our sons & daughters to protect Islamo-Fascists & coordinate the retreats will be perfect for Kerry.

I remember seeing a photograph of President Kennedy piloting his yacht. He was at the helm, his hair flying in the breeze, looking ever so cool and glamorous. Jacky was at his side, her hair kept in place with a scarf, and various guests on the deck. And there was John Kerry. He must have been no more than 15 or so years old, but his horse face was unmistakable. And he had this expression on his face of "I belong here! This is MY place!" He always was a social climbing snob.

When a Gigolo and Traitor such as Kerry is tapped to "get into the game", it is a sure sign that the Dumbocrat bench is exceptionally short and very weak.

As the media, by and large, ignores the train wreck that is on the horizon with ObamaCare, yet another union has jumped ship on the president’s health care overhaul. Back in April, you may recall, the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers officially said thanks but no thanks to the president’s plan. Well, now, a major labor union in the grocery industry is balking at the policy. According to The Hill: The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) — a 1.3 million-member labor group that twice endorsed Obama for president —

Illegal immigrants seeking a reprieve under an election-year program implemented by the Obama administration are being approved at a rate of over 99 percent -- a situation that has the immigration officer union raising concerns about fraud and security risks. The program in question is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, which allows some illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children to seek tentative legal status. It was the administration´s answer to the "Dream Act," a bill Congress drafted but did not approve. The union representing thousands of employees in U.S. Citizenship and

White House Press Sec. Carney said that the president would not have been able to comment on the Inspector General’s ongoing investigation into the IRS’s abuses and was not upset over being kept out of the loop. “I wasn’t present when he learned about it, but I know that he

The Washington Post on Monday reported that Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating journalists before they started wiretapping the Associated Press – for one, Fox News correspondent James Rosen in 2010. Their headline wasn´t "Obama Team Also Spied on Fox News." Fox wasn´t in the headline, on A-1 or on A-12, where the story continued. Newly obtained court documents “reveal how deeply investigators explored the private communications of a working journalist — and raise the question of how often journalists have been investigated as closely as Rosen was in 2010.” Reporter Ann Marimow began:

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”
