| Newton, Conn. - An official with knowledge of the situation says a gunman at the center of a school shooting in Newtown, Conn., has been killed. The official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still under way says the man apparently had two guns. A dispatcher at the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps says a teacher has been shot in the foot and taken to Danbury Hospital, but it´s unclear whether there are other injuries. Ambulance surrounded Sandy Hook Elementary School in western Connecticut and parents were running toward the building as a helicopter

This is local for me. TV said that the principal is dead. I hope and pray that´s all.
I kind of wish the gunman had been captured alive. Despite my reverence for our Constitution, emotionally if you have actual undisputable evidence of someone like that doing something like that I´m all for releasing the perpetrator on his own recognizance at a well-publicized time and date and putting the crowd´s response on YouTube. Sometimes the barbaric solution is the right solution.

Normally feral indoctrinated teachers put their feet in their mouth, and seldom do the police shoot them for such predictable behavior.

We have been here before. It´s going to get worse. The dems have been beating the gun control drum loudly lately and the media is doing their part.
One unfortunate situation played hour after hour on CNN will almost surely beget more unfortunate situations.

Immediately the gun haters pop up with their ´no more guns´ solution. Why they want more innocent people to be hurt when they can´t defend themselves, is a question they never address. The real problem is the BIG unanswered question of what responsibility does a school, cinema or city have when it prevents a citizen with no criminal complaint or criminal record from being armed, and yet does NOTHING to protect the people who follow their laws? The faith that everyone will follow their laws has been proven horribly wrong too many times. In places like cities with daily violence, some of it organized, citizens should be allowed to assert their right of self defense and mayors like Bloomberg who deny them that right should be accountable. School districts that depend on a sign to defend the emotional and most vulnerable place in our society, are negligent in their duty to protect children.
No one wants to be forced to live like they must in Israel, but we better take a long, hard, look at how they handle violence and survival in that country.
