Susan Rice was brought down by
the long shadow of Benghazi,
not race or gender

A good guest has to know when to leave the party. Susan Rice wasn’t a good guest. She waited until well after midnight, when everyone was tapping their watches and thinking of bed. Her insistent lingering turned sympathy into contempt--and when she finally decided to go, she did so loudly and rudely. The only person to regret her departure will be the man who invited her, Barack Obama. And not necessarily because he’ll miss her, but because her melodramatic exit has put an ugly word back in to common usage. Benghazi. Benghazi. Benghazi. Susan Rice has withdrawn her name

Comments:
The metaphor suits Rice very well.

she was forced to bow out to avoid revealing to the public during confirmation that obama is working for the saudis. ambassador and team were funneling libyan weapons to syrian rebels (muslim brotherhood) via turkey, and training them. you will soon hear about assad using chem weapons on his people, but it will really be the us trained rebels doing it. this will give obama the excuse to take out assad and install the brotherhood there. just as the saudis want him to.

#1, definitely Rice had a lot of beans to spill, wasn´t gonna happen. And I do think that obama gets his marching orders from overseas, but it´s likely be a much larger coalition that just the Saudis. Have to include the old school Soviets as his puppet handlers, maybe ChiComs also.

Bengazhi wasn´t Rice primary problem. She actually had no business commenting on it as a UN ambassador. This was in the state dept, pentagon and intelligence purview.

What did Rice in was her willingness to lie for Obama on 5 different networks, well after it was known it was a terror attack.
Nobody really knows what went wrong with the narrative about the video being blamed, which all Obama hacks were happy to embrace as the storyline. My guess is the Seals getting involved exposed the lie.

When you look at an Egyptian being the main thug in the embassy attack, that tells me the riots in Egypt were coordinated with the Libyan attack to cover up the real reason Stevens was killed. He was killed by his own government with the aid of terrorists.

You almost have to laugh at the fact Rice willingly went around lying about this for Obama´s sake and he winds up throwing her under the bus. If nothing was wrong here, she´d be up for the job.

She is a "documented" LIAR and needs to be run out of public life. It´s people like her who give us "all" a bad name.....!

anybody heard any media interviews with the 30+ survivors? why are they hidden?

the embassy is in tripoli, not benghazi. that´s why it was undefended. just what were they doing there?

As usual, the American press continues to feign ignorance about this story, as we learn the facts from London. Just continued lies of omission from the NYY, WaPo and other pathetic newsies on this side of the pond.
.... How telling is that!

Always willing to print accusatory tales of GOP racism when a black candidate does not receive congressional or national support, the silence of Old Media on this story is roaringly loud. Nobody bought the race card this round. Oooops.

Thus, it appears that John Kerry, who served in Viet Nam, will replace Hillary .... so she can prepare her presidential campaign for 2016.
.... Dontcha love it when they go after each other. Pass the popcorn.

Rice is an inept puppet of another inept puppet. She was never nominated, just rumored for the position.

Now, we´ll have to put up with the long-faced Brahman liar - Jane Fonda-like traitor. Thanks a lot zippy voters!

There was never any chance that Rice would be under oath anywhere in this universe. Kenya boy told her to decline and decline she did. It´s all theater.

Another lackey gets thrown under the bus.

We seem to be forgetting that Susan Rice, on that fateful sunday morning, added a bit of nonsense to the ´video caused the riot´ by saying that Al Queada had been ´decimated.´
I don´t think that was even offered by the dimwitted old man, Clapper, who is in charge of of the DNI operation.
(decimated was being misused by Susan Rice - it does not mean nearly eliminated - instead, it means reduced by a tenth. Roman Emperor Caligula was the one who killed one tenth of his army each year to keep everyone scared. The former CEO of GE did the equlvalent to his managers every year - the bottom 10% were terminated.)

She was raised by a father who blamed being black as the reason he was not successful in life. Her entire history has been one of being an aggrieved, pugnacious victim. In her mind (and she will shout it to the world)her not becoming sos was because she was black.

Barack Obama bombs in Berlin:
a weak, underwhelming address

When John F. Kennedy delivered his “Ich Bin Ein Berliner” speech in front of the Brandenburg Gate on June 26, 1963, 450,000 people flocked to hear him. Fifty years later a far more subdued invitation-only crowd of 4,500 showed up to hear Barack Obama speak at the same location in Berlin. [Snip] JFK had a clear message when he came to Berlin a half century ago – the free world must stand up to Communist tyranny. 24 years later, President Reagan stood in the same spot famously calling on the Soviets to “tear down this wall.” Reagan’s speech was a

Barack Obama’s attempts to negotiate a peace deal with the Taliban look to be dead in the water before they have even started. [Snip] One moment Mr Karzai is being hailed as the saviour of the West, the only Afghan leader who can be trusted to take the fight to the Taliban. The next he is being denounced as a corrupt and weak politician who is only interested in his own self-advancement. On this occasion, however, Mr Karzai’s temper tantrum, and suspension of talks with the US within hours of Obama’s announcement, appears to be fully justified.

Wind farms are like one of those frustratingly unripened boils: you know that you shouldn´t keep squeezing but they´re so noxious and irritating and hideous that you just can´t resist. If you´ve got the same problem, then I heartily recommend you read this brilliant essay on the subject by Russell Taylor. I love his dismissal of people who claim to find wind turbines beautiful: "…a sentiment I find as credible as a Soviet peasant admiring the Tiger tank that had just squashed his grandmother." But what really grabbed me was his analysis at the end of wind turbines´ totemic

US Secretary of State John Kerry has spoken by phone to Afghan President Hamid Karzai to try to defuse tensions, an Afghan spokesman has told the BBC. A vast tract of the East Coast, from Washington DC to New York is in danger of being without power for up to two years, if a massive solar flare knocks out the power grid. With the Sun pushing out unusually large solar flares, capable of disrupting power supplies, a device is being proposed that would prevent more than 300 million Americans being left without power. House Republicans have proposed legislation to push the Government to provide surge protectors and grid-saving devices that would offer protection in case of a massive electromagnetic pulse from either a flare or nuclear weapon.

Michelle Obama and her daughters were joined by the President´s half-sister Auma on Tuesday as the group made a sombre tour of the Holocaust memorial in Berlin. The First Lady, Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, bowed their heads and listened carefully to the words of a tour guide. Michelle looked lost in thought as she wandered through the vast site while Malia appeared deeply moved and reached out to touch the stones. The Obamas are in Germany for a two-day visit and while the President meets with leader Angela Merkel, his wife and daughters visited the Memorial to the

Afghanistan suspends talks

Afghanistan has suspended talks with the US to discuss the nature of US military presence after foreign troops withdraw in 2014. A spokesman for President Hamid Karzai said the decision was taken over "contradictions" in the US proposal of direct talks with the Taliban. Mr Karzai also ruled out talking to the Taliban until the peace process was "Afghan-led". Earlier, four US soldiers died in a Taliban attack at an Afghan air base. A spokesman for the Taliban said the militants had launched two rockets at Bagram airbase, the largest military base for US troops in Afghanistan.

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Likening religious schools to segregation--a racist system that forced blacks to attend different schools and use different facilities than whites in the American South--President Barack Obama told a town hall meeting for youth in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Monday that there should not be Catholic and Protestant schools because such schools cause division. "Because issues like segregated schools and housing, lack of jobs and opportunity--symbols of history that are a source of pride for some and pain for others--these are not tangential to peace; they’re essential to it,"

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

Listening to Barack Obama give his speech in Belfast on Monday, it was hard not to stifle a yawn. I kept waiting for the part when he would say something interesting, but, about three quarters of the way through, realised it wasn’t going to come. Judging from television pictures some of his young audience felt the same, after the initial rush of euphoria of receiving the rock star president in their midst had passed. This is not surprising, for we had already heard this number about the inspirational role of the Northern Ireland peace process and the Emerald Isle’s

Jackson alleges in the suit that Deen used the N-word at the restaurant and that Hiers sexually harassed her. According to the reports, in the deposition, Deen replied “Yes, of course,”

This is the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of How Democracies Perish, an analysis of the spread of world communism by Jean-François Revel, one of freedom´s most serious French defenders since Tocqueville. At the heart of this work, Revel details "The Tools of Communist Expansion," among which the most relevant for understanding our current situation comes in Chapter 16, "Ideological Warfare and Disinformation." The profound simplicity of Revel´s nuts and bolts account of totalitarianism´s Cold War advance, far from being obsolete
