| This is your regular reminder that the best taxers aren’t always the best taxees: A new report just out from the Internal Revenue Service reveals that 36 of President Obama’s executive office staff owe the country $833,970 in back taxes. This per the IRS. Federal employees as a group owe a whopping $3.4 billion in unpaid taxes, including 1,181 employees of the Treasury Department delinquent on a total of $9.3 million in taxes. (But do you recall the most famous delinquent of all? Tim Geithner had to pay $42,000 in back taxes before his confirmation as Treasury Secretary.)

How much in student loans do they owe (and have no intention of ever paying)?

I think everyone paying the same tax rate, be it 5% or 20% whatever is FAIR..the more you make the more you pay, but EVERYONE pays. FAIR ! Picking and choosing certain Americans to be penalized is UNfair. Having the government pick and choose what´s fair is UNfair and dangerous.

This is really simple. Garnish 25% a year of the back taxes owed from their paychecks this year and then repeat for the next 3 years. This is increased revenue that Obama can absolutely guarantee will receive bipartisan support.

Here Is an example of fair brought to you by your liberal elite. Just keep in mind that the rules that apply to you and me do not apply to these people. Next time you listen to Obama prattle on about everybody paying their fair share you might remember this!

In hypocritical news, the IRS can disallow people to prepare tax returns who owe them money, yet it is apparently acceptable to be employed there and owe them money.
Garnish the entire lot of them.

If only they had paid those taxes, the government could have gone 12.5 seconds without borrowing any money for the month of November.

Take it out of their pay. Lindsey Lohan is in trouble for $16,000 and Al Sharpton owes $3 M. and is running free? I guess it depends on the color of your skin.

That´s exactly what I would like to know. They keep reporting this but what are they doing about it. It should be taken out of their pay like they would do for any of us.

Gen. John Allen has been appointed special U.S. envoy on security issues in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. He will not mediate between the parties; his work will almost exclusively involve contacts with Israel. Allen will deal with the U.S. position on Israeli security needs and the security arrangements that would accompany the establishment of a future Palestinian state. Senior U.S. and Israeli officials note that while U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel made the appointment it was coordinated with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who is leading the effort to restart Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. She was determined to

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
