Embrace the Suck

Let´s go over the cliff Gangnam Style. It used to be an accepted truth that America would never negotiate with terrorists -- at least before Obama made ´leading from behind´ so popular -- or the ascendency of his current variation, ´leading from nowhere.´ Well... in fiscal negotiations Barack Obama is a terrorist. Think about it; he has nothing to lose, because he cares only about winning -- the nation be damned. In fact, the economic depredations inherent in cliff diving provide him with an advantage. By letting lower tax rates on the middle class expire, potentially he has access

This article should be a Must Read

FTA:Obama´s politics of bitterness and envy just won an election. Perhaps the failure of his policies based on the same can save a nation.

His policy was on full display when he spoke in Michigan against our not-yet-passed Right to Work bill. As a result of his speech, we had a near riot by the union goons who showed themselves to be just that - goons. Obama and the unions have one theme "It´s my way or the highway."

I agree with Mr. Gensert, when it finally dawns on the low information voter how much that sucks, maybe the scales will fall from their eyes and the plugs will come out of their ears. One can only hope and pray.

I have no hopes for the reclamation of the human slag-heap that voted in Ozero. And I am not confident we will get a chance to begin again in 2016. We may begin acknowledged, outright dictatorship.

Republicans should be attacking Obama every day on bargaining in bad faith. The republicans only have one branch of government, where´s the other 2´s offers?

Obama has never had to lose. That´s a very dangerous thing. Because of it, he can sit in front of Barbara Wawa and say, based on historical precedence, "The republicans will cave." because that´s all he´s ever known.

obama is what we all warn bad parents about. By always giving in to their child´s tantrums they create a monster for everyone else to deal with later. Ladies and gentlemen, in obama I give you the definition and picture of later.

A move to Canada is starting to look like a real possibility. If it all goes bad there may not be anywhere in the USA that is safe.

No move to Canada for me! I´ll stay here. Great article, IMHO. Well worth following, if our illustrious House Leder had sense enough to follow it. Negotiate indeed! Put the 250 / 400 etc on the table and adjourn! Now! Or, go over (hope everyone ´enjoys´ those holidays), wait ´til the first paycheck hits, THEN beat Zero to the punch with what´s in the article.

The Obamboozler´s arrogance, hubris and complete lack of accountability is just amazing. He just keeps his foot on the accelerator taking this country down the path of destruction. On the one hand, you have to hand it to him for being able to pander the dumbed-down, barely aware, dope-smoking, self-absorbed, media-influenced, celebrity-obsessed, Kool-Aid drinking, low information deadbeat voters out there, but then we have to watch Boehner cry about it! Massive suckage on a grand scale such as this must have a Suck Factor of about 29.9inches of mercury or about a -100ISUs (International Suck Units). In other word, it just can´t suck enough!

Agree it should be a Must Read. Also agree Boehner should follow the recommendations.

The sooner we get this over with, the better. In the meantime, we need to get all of these conservatives who have refused to vote in the last two elections off their a**** and vote next time around. Standing on principle is great but, like it or not, they are equally responsible for the downfall of this great country.

Romney wasn´t perfect but he was a good, decent, honest, principled man who loved America. None of which can be said about the WH´s current occupant.

Obama is building a second term based on "Revenge". That´s his word.

Revenge for what? Revenge against whom?
What is this guy´s problem?
(rhetorical question there).

Lew asks Congress for debt increase,
says it’s ´not open to debate´

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.

By all accounts, today´s college campuses grow more intolerant by the day. We move closer to the old Soviet Empire, where political dissidents risked the gulag for even joking about Marxism. In the U.S., however, the hate crimes concern anything that touches on race, ethnicity, gender differences, diversity, and sexuality (see here and here). Even an old-fashioned ethnic joke almost guarantees mandatory counseling. Skeptics need only look at the pervasiveness of campus speech codes, coerced sensitivity training, the mandatory injection of multicultural propaganda into courses, and other top-down censorship.

BALTIMORE — Trying to reset the agenda amid scandal in Washington, President Barack Obama turned his attention Friday to the economy and said lawmakers should spend every day resolute on how to help it grow and get people back to work. “Our focus cannot drift,” he said. After a week that put him on the defensive and consumed by a trio of political controversies, Obama left the turmoil behind on a short helicopter flight about 40 miles north to Baltimore. The city has had its share of tough times in its move from an industrial to service economy

Benghazi Narrative Shift

"We´ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing do to with," said Hillary Clinton to the families of the four Americans killed at Benghazi and others gathered at a September 2012 memorial service. Her boss, President Barack Obama, had been reciting the same lie in one forum after another in the days following the September 11 attack on the American outpost in Benghazi. To give the lie credence, his Justice Department immured the producer of the video, a Coptic Christian named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, in a West Texas prison.

President Obama is shattering the illusions of his supporters, and eyes are opening, even among his former media allies. As if waking from a slumber, a newly aggressive White House press corps yesterday raked Jay Carney over the coals over various lies and evasions, prompting Megyn Kelley of Fox News to quip, "What´s happened? Who are these reporters who showed up here?" They are disillusioned and angry liberals who are starting to grasp that they have been lied to, who realize that a skeptical stance is necessary

Don´t tell me the left doesn´t survive primarily on luck. On Friday, April 12, the legacy media was on the ropes. A spectacular uproar, of a type never before seen, had erupted over media refusal to cover the trial of Kermit Gosnell, the serial killer lucky enough to own an abortion mill. The story they were attempting to bury involved his trial for a homicide by medical malpractice (one of several such), the murder of four healthy infants (out of hundreds of similar killings), the abuse of human remains, and assorted associated felonies.

BBC has apologized for its coverage of the Benghazi murders; ABC has unraveled the mendacious tale of the talking points ´ genesis and the Congressional hearings this week have dramatically established the administration´s elaborate lies about how our ambassador and his brave defenders were murdered and its failure to protect them. Maybe now the press will feel it´s okay to get off their duffs and report how a thoroughly incompetent administration, motivated solely by self-interest, left our ambassador and others to be murdered and then lied about it with consequences to us all.

Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012, acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath. The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it's important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect "incompetence rather than malice or cover up.

Watching President Obama trying to dodge raindrops and responsibility yesterday reminded me of the moment when Dorothy pulls back the curtain and discovers that the Wizard of Oz is “just a man.” Stripped of his spell of mystery and power, the wizard is worse than mortal. He’s a fake. So it was with Obama in the Rose Garden. His performance was tired and trite, ordinary to the point of dull. His veneer of passion was so transparent that you could see him trying to summon his old-time magic by pushing the buttons

In the wake of one of the worst abuses of government power in recent history, many are rushing to frame the Internal Revenue Service scandal as simply an attack on conservative activists. That view risks creating a partisan political football and misses a fundamentally scarier abuse that exceeds the scandals of Watergate or any other prior government abuse. The IRS has admitted that since May 2010 it targeted grassroots-conservative organizations that had applied for tax-exempt status, unfairly subjecting them to rigorous scrutiny due to their political leanings. Such groups were told they were required to comply with IRS requests,

STANDING BEFORE reporters Thursday, President Obama declined an invitation to compare the recent scandals weighing down his administration with those that forced President Nixon to resign in 1974. So allow us to do the work for him: There is no comparison. Nixon, in a series of crimes that collectively came to be known as Watergate, directed from the White House and Justice Department a concerted campaign against those he perceived as political enemies, in the process subverting the FBI, the IRS, other government agencies and the electoral process to his nefarious purposes. Mr. Obama has done nothing of the kind.

The State Department, under Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, created an arrangement for her longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin to work for private clients as a consultant while serving as a top adviser in the department. Ms. Abedin did not disclose the arrangement — or how much income she earned — on her financial report. It requires officials to make public any significant sources of income. An adviser to Mrs. Clinton, Philippe Reines, said that Ms. Abedin was not obligated to do so. The disclosure of the agreement that Ms. Abedin made with the State Department comes as her husband,

The Internal Revenue Service´s watchdog told top Treasury officials around June 2012 he was investigating allegations the tax agency had targeted conservative groups, for the first time indicating that Obama administration officials were aware of the explosive matter in the midst of the president´s re-election campaign. The disclosure to the Treasury general counsel and the deputy secretary was a cursory one, according to J. Russell George, the Treasury inspector general for tax administration. He said he didn´t reveal conclusions of the probe, which was in its early stages, and his disclosure came as part

The lawmaker leading the charge to investigate the Benghazi terror attack on Friday subpoenaed the co-author of a report that slammed the State Department but didn´t interview Hillary Clinton. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) formally demanded that retired ambassador Thomas Pickering submit to being deposed by the committee next Thursday. The subpoena comes in the wake of a series of acrimonious public exchanges this week between the two men. Issa didn´t issue a subpoena to former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, who co-authored the Benghazi report with Pickering.
