| Since returning from a trip to southeast Asia on Nov. 21, President Obama has managed to play three rounds of golf but has met face-to-face only once with Speaker John A. Boehner, the man with whom he is trying to strike a deal on taxes and spending that could prevent another recession. With the deadline for going over the “fiscal cliff” less than three weeks away, the president’s schedule this week is exceptionally light. It does not include any time on the links with Mr. Boehner, Ohio Republican, who is also an avid golfer. On Monday, Mr. Obama’s only public event was a trip to Detroit,

Comments: When do we start calling him President in name only? It is obvious he has no desire to do the hard work necessary. He doesn´t want to bother with the mundane duties of acting like a real leader.

Original Poster, I like that. President in name only = PINO. Like PIAPS. And RINO.
Where is he playing golf at this time of year? Not on any course near where Boehner could demolish him.

The DC area has been fairly warm for the last few weeks. Plenty warm for him to kick our military golfer s off the courses so he and his homies can have them all to themselves.

We should rename the White House to Delta House from the movie Animal House because Obama does about as much work as the Delta frat boys did studying.
But hey, to his supporters, he "cares" dontcha know?

In all fairness, the "preezy of the united steezy" is getting ready for his $4+ million dollar vacay to Hawaii and he needs the practice to be in "shape" for he and moochelle´s excellent adventure at Taxpayer expense for THREE WEEKS! Most of us are enjoying a "stay-at-home" vacation, but hey, can´t we all live vicariously through our dear Leader´s life and times. BTW, why isn´t the GOP mentioning this latest excursion by obama and his minions?.....never mind.

Don´t be hard on the man, he just spent more than four years of doing nothing but campaigning, playing midnight basketball, shanking golf balls and kneeling on his prayer rug. He hasn´t figured out the next step yet. He´s the Present President.

Oblamer isn´t worried. Those leeches will just blame the ´Pubs. Oblahblah knows this. He´s got the media watching his back.
Obummer is getting ready to go on vacation, all the while the country is going over the cliff. He doesn´t care. Leaving town is his standard response. He did it during the debt ceiling impasse. He left it to the ´Pubs to clean up the mess and take the blame. But, in Obummer´s stupid brain, this is "leadership".

Personally, I hope that the whole shebang goes right over the friggin´ cliff and the economy tanks. Ultimately, it´s always the president´s economy, despite the propagandizing of the media. Obama is the one that signed the debt ceiling deal last year that is the reason for all this angst. In reality the economy can´t get much worse anyway. Screw ´em all.

In Dreams From My Alleged Father , Obama described a huge fight that he had with his mother during his senior year of high school. His mother basically called him a lazy bum who had terrible grades , no desire for college , no college applications or visits ( hmmm...how did he get into Occidental at the last minute ? ), scummy druggie friends and absolutely no ambition , etc. He wrote that he tried using the big smile he often used to " trick " white people , but, it no longer worked on Mom. Obama shouted back that being a lazy bum was actually his life´s ambition. Millions of American voters have made Barry´s dream come true. By contrast , Romney was a hard worker his entire life . He earned his law degree and his MBA simultaneously and graduated with honors. While Barry spent his teens and twenties sleeping , shouting into a bullhorn about whitey and snorting coke. Both men have obviously not deviated from the path they began early in life.

Obama knows deep down that Boehner will eventually cave. Only because the republicans have a small measure of responsibility and a large concern for their jobs. Anybody in Boehner´s position who had a bit of courage would wait the kenyan out and let the country come to the edge, where the democrats would blink because they are perceived to be in charge.

Obama plays quite a bit of golf. And Boehner plays with him. You know, I don´t care what Obama does, I want to know what the Republican majority in the house does....which is nothing. The most powerful branch of government is the House...and we have a wimp ass no good running it. The House of Reps seem to want to represent the MSM instead of the American people they should be there for. They worry about their damn images with the msm talk shows. Hey dumb ass Repubs stop going on these shows! Republican ignorameseseseseseessss!!!!!!!!!!!

The Obama administration plans to restart transfers of detainees out of Guantánamo Bay as part of President Obama’s efforts to close the prison, The Wall Street Journal reports. The president is planning to lift the restrictions on sending detainees to Yemen in the coming weeks, the Journal reports, citing unidentified U.S. officials. A White House official would not confirm the report that the administration will lift the Yemen restrictions. “We´re not commenting on press reports of transfers associated with Guantanamo,”

Last night, President Barack Obama honored singer Carole King with the the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The celebration took the form of a concert, featuring James Taylor, Gloria Estefan, Billy Joel, Jesse McCartney, Emeli Sande, and Trisha Yearwood. It will air next week on PBS stations across the nation. But the White House has released President Obama´s speech to honor King: The president´s remarks begin with this quip: Thank you. I have to say that as the podium came out, which meant that was my cue, my mother-in-law said, "Oh, shoot." (Laughter.)

Government is now so huge, powerful, and callous that citizens risk becoming virtual serfs, lacking the freedoms guaranteed by the Founders. Is that perennial fear an exaggeration? Survey the current news. We have just learned that the Internal Revenue Service before the 2012 election predicated its tax-exemption policies on politics. It inordinately denied tax exemption to groups considered conservative or otherwise antagonistic to the president’s agenda. If the supposedly nonpartisan IRS is perceived as skewing our taxes on the basis of our politics, then the entire system of trust in self-reporting is rendered null and void.

WASHINGTON —Where are we now in this morass of Obama Administration scandals? We have the Associated Press imbroglio. We have the Benghazi imbroglio. We have the IRS imbroglio. Well, a synonym for imbroglio is confusion, and in all the above cases replace the word “imbroglio” with the word “confusion” and you will get a hint of where I am going. We have one massive cloud of confusion, and that is exactly what this embattled Administration wants, confusion. They think that if an event can be brought to confusion, at some point the journalists and the general public will

In 2000, Ted Cruz was known only as a Texas-raised, Harvard-trained domestic policy adviser to the George W. Bush campaign. Bush was a two-term governor from a border state who was determined to fix what he saw as a broken, inhumane immigration system. Cruz helped craft the campaign’s immigration policy, which called for speeding up the application process, increasing the number of work visas, and allowing the relatives of permanent residents to visit the U.S. while their applicants were pending. “Family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande,” Bush used to say. Bush, a self-described “compassionate conservative,”

DOD decided not to pay for a physical therapy program for

"Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama." So marvelously said Dennis Miller on Fox New´s the O´Reilly Factor in a discussion about the Internal Revenue Service scandal Wednesday (video follows with transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary): DENNIS MILLER: Nobody in the press is going to bear in on this. Let´s face facts: the American media is in an abusive relationship with Obama. They don´t quite know what to do. If you take the New York Times, you could refer to it as "Fifty Shades of Grey Lady."

Former Rep. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

There’s really no reason for the press to suggest that the recent slew of scandals involving the Obama administration — Benghazi, the AP phone-record seizure, the snooping in James Rosen’s e-mail, the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups, and so on — are a confusing jumble. There is a very clear thread running through all of the administration’s actions: The U.S. deputy chief of mission in Libya, Gregory Hicks, says that he was told not to speak to a member of Congress about Benghazi without a State Department lawyer present, that he received a phone call from Hillary Clinton’s
