Jimmy Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, said Tuesday he expects Michigan unions and lawmakers to break out into "civil war" after the state legislature passed right-to-work bills that would weaken unions´ power. "This is just the first round of a battle that´s going to divide this state. We´re going to have a civil war," Hoffa said on CNN´s "Newsroom." The Republican-controlled state House passed two bills that had already been approved by the GOP-dominated state Senate. Gov. Rick Snyder, also a Republican, is poised to sign the bill, which would allow workers

The Dems, and Libs want people to do what they tell you to do. Do as they say not as they do. They want people to have rights, Their Rights, no Our Rights. Why should people not have a choice of whether to be in a union or not. They earn their money. Unions take it and use it to Destroy our Country!! They are mad because they are losing the money that goes to the Programs our president wants to supply Way to Go Michigan!! Oh by the way the Dems don´t like when Republicans use the passing of bills by the politicans of their states. Only they can when they pass gay marriage through the states government like they did in NYS
The Right to Choose only applies to killing babies I guess. If they start rioting... since no one lost their jobs or incurred any personal loss, that would qualify as unfair labor practices... and violates their own stupid laws.
Since the MSM has a blackout on the 2 dock strikes in LA & San Diego.. striking for eliminated sec´y jobs to still be paid to unions... Is that still holding up xmas presents?
They know they have a comrade in arms in the White House. They´re feeling like "it´s time". So almost like it´s been planned and rehearsed, they´re surging, trying to provoke a violent reaction. This time they may be purposely looking for an incident that invites such a response that it would provide justification for a "Red October" type of uprising. Then the comrade´s edicts to supposedly protect the public...martial law, confiscation of firearms, etc.
It certainly has the look and feel of something bigger and more "final" than your typical union thug protest. Be vigilant. Be prepared.

Yes Obe elections do have consequences. One occurs when states can no longer trust or work with feds and baby dictators they resort to state solutions. Now we have a nation almost evenly divided right to work free vs right to bow to unions. incoming makes 30 states not progressive controlled and Obe loses his fake mandate.

Heard Tucker Carlson on Brett Bair. He said everybody needs to find the efficient way of doing things, employers and employees alike. Unions are not efficient and are obsolete. If unions were efficient the U.S. Marines would be unionized.
I kind of hope the unions follow through on these threats, and the businesses in MI take a powder to a southern state leaving behind the union´s scum. If nothing else, I hope they strike far and wide and throw us into a recession so Obama´s second term will be one long nightmare for everyone, not just us conservatives.
I don´t know how much difference this will make in Mich. from a practical standpoint. This is a very union addicted state and I´m sure this is causing ripples throughout the community.Union leadership doesn´t understand how much people have turned against them, especially when everybody else is struggling and they deamnd more.Unions can feel their power fading away so they´ll make one hell of a stink about this. It´s too bad republican interests never get this fired up when it goes against us.How many people threw an actual fit over Robert´s Obamacare decision?
But I can see where a new hire will be read the riot act in a parking of at a unionized factory. They´ll find ways to intimidate people into joining the union regardless of what the law says. Afterall, they are union thugs.
Unions aren´t only bad because they donate to dems but their pay and benefit scale is way out of line. On top of that, they do things like slow productivity to protect overtime.
#14 a friend of mine in Austin, TX worked for UPS in the early 80s and had no intention of joining the union. They made it clear to him that wasn´t going to be tolerated. He joined for fear of... who knows what, but there was a lot of fear.
Communists always degrade to mob rule groupthink (go ahead and chant Occupy Wall Streeters!). They only have courage when they have a gaggle of a thousand or so. How brave to attack a lone camera man in the middle of their pack!
What a fall the union movement has taken. Just a few years ago Obama had promised them Card Check and doing away with the secret ballot in union elections. Now in the great Union State of MI, Republicans show they have some guts and role them back. Lets not forget the bravery of Wisconsin´s Republicans last year. Now if we could see some similar courage from Mr. Boehner in D.C.
Headline tells you all you need to know about unions and the people who support them. If unions are such a great deal, they would not feel threatened by this new law. The only way unions can succeed is by a declaration that everyone must be in one. Choice just kills them.
Hoffa´s union has been closely watched/audited, by order of the congress, for years due to criminal activity. When the present potus and his minions in the congress took control (2007 for congress, 2008 for the leader)they removed the watch/audit process and let the union return to what it does best....criminal activity and funding the dem party.
This is what it looks like when a state has been paying protection money to the mob and decides to stop. Just a bunch of thugs out for themselves and the heck with their neighbors who are out of work....let them eat cake. These unions have bankrupted the state legislatures and could care less, because they have their man in the white house who can start up the presses and print bail out money.
Only 18% of all Michigan employees belong to a union. This includes both public and private sector unions. I grew up in Michigan in the heart of UAW country, and I was surprised the number was so small. However, the influence of unions on the psyche of many is huge. Even though much of the state runs moderate to conservative politically (which is reflected in our republican governor and republican-controlled state house & senate), the southeast region, which includes Detroit, Ann Arbor, & Flint, has for decades supported primarily the democrat party and has been strongly pro-union, despite the fact that the majority of people here aren´t union members. I am a visiting RN, and I try to keep a "neutral" position when patients bring up political topics. I´m there to help people heal, not to recruit them to the conservative cause. But even my neutral statements about the tensions in Lansing were met with vehement denunciations of Gov. Snyder and the evil republicans. Needless to say, I quickly changed the subject.
The union says that people who are not members should not receive the benefits that they have "negotiated." I say fine, let the non-union workers work on the merit system and we will see just how much they can EARN in the way of benefits. The unions have done more harm than good in last few decades. They have done nothing to increase the productivity of their members, and have promoted an adversarial environment between labor and management. Union workers do not make up of the majority of the work force and amazingly, companies can still prosper and treat their employees well. Most of us don´t need bullies on our behalf to negotiate our wages and benefits. A person of good character and honesty with a good work ethic can do just fine. They will be more productive and produce better products and results. That is their leverage unlike the threat of violence or work stoppage.
Hoffa also argued that those who don´t pay union dues will be considered "free riders,” as they’re getting the same benefits from union representation without the cost.
Free riders? You mean like the welfare slugs who ride on our backs as WE pull the wagon? Or the free riders who enjoy the benefits of lifetime pensions on OUR tax dollars? Or maybe the free riders who flit about on Air Force One and Two on OUR tax dollars on their myriad vacations? Or the Teachers Unions who are permitted to teach nothing and get paid for it on OUR tax dollars? Or the free riders in Congress who get generously paid for life after they retire on OUR tax dollars?
If there are any "free riders" in this labor issue, it´s the union pensioners, thugs and enforcers who funnel OUR money into electing Democrat (never Republican) officials, Presidents, Congressmen and Senators.
The reason the unions are so hot over workers having a choice is that union dues always, always go toward electing Democrats. It´s a huge candy store and the Democrat Party can´t afford to have the flow of dollars for Democrats stopped or slowed.
That union mob was laughable. They all could use a makeover and a trip to the mall to get some new clothes. They all seem to dress like Archie Bunker.
How about that one football field-duration haymaker Camargo delivered? He´s certainly no cage fighter. The libs on other inet sites started saying Crowder´s wounds were popped pimples! You see the mindset of those sickos.
Maybe Hoffa will become an involuntary Houdini. The mobsters should start a new reality show: Union roller derby: They can wear those weird "working class" clothes, carry their preprinted anti-Republican signs etc and elbow people in the gut as they skate.

I view unions as a necessary evil especially in the skilled trades (carpentry, plumbing, electricians, welding, pipefitting, etc.). But the union has to make the case that their activities benefit the workers and the best measure of their (union) effectiveness is the voluntary payment of dues. The unions oppose Right to Work for the same reason that the IRS would oppose the elimination of Payroll Tax With holding. Its means that the ultimate payer will suddenly subject them to additional scrutiny.
Obama went straight to MI to do some ´community organizing´....in short to organize violence and mayhem similar to the brown shirts. Community organizing as in ´communist organizing.´ Obama is actively away from DC out in America stirring up hate and chaos.
Wasn´t it just the other day that Obama was in Michigan politicking against State elected officials because they were considering the ´Right to Work´ law that was passed. That is blatant federal interference in legal Michigan business and you can blame the resulting rioting on the WH.
If I was the state of Michigan, and any other state for that matter, I would deny the President any security normally provided by State and Local police when he´s flying in to purposely cause rioting and unrest. He should just butt out. Why pay for the expense of having to pay for Presidential protection and to pay for the ensuing rioting and law breaking encouraged by the Administration.
A lot of people voting for Obama realized that their current financial plight is due to the unions. This is the disconnect that Democrats have long feared. There are plenty of Democrats who personally dispise unions for their power and privlege and have no problem with Michigan becoming a right to work state as long as it stays Democratic. The union proposition was defeated with the help of Democratic voters. The message is clear, belong to a union if you want but it has nothing to do with me or my party and by the way you are the problem.
It´s a depressing joke here in the Rockies : Michiganders are thot of as the ´ Okies ´ of the dust bowl . Pouring in here with a carload of rodent kids looking for a " new start " and free food . We pray they arn´t bringing their politics along as well . If that crummy state can get its act together and kick unions to the curb , maybe work will return .
Odd, isn´t it? Michigan went for Obama, yet has a legislature and a governor that are willing and able to pass a right to work law just a month after the big election. And the protests come, not from the outraged citizens of Michigan, but from thugs and goons brought in from other states. (As they were in Wisconsin.)
Not rocket science. Union chiefs want to manipulate the market to the unions´ advantage, then take their dues, pay themselves astronomical salaries and bribe democratic politicians to support them. Any other questions?
When I was in high school I worked for $1/hr. doing semi-skilled labor. My unionized classmates made $4/hr. doing utterly brainless labor at a manufacturing plant. Guess what--the plant went out of business. The unions´ top principle: it´s good while it lasts.
Red states beware. When someone from Michigan comes looking for work take a look at his car. Look for the Obama-Biden bumper sticker or some other indicator that he carries the union virus. File his application accordingly into the shredder.
Unions are a bad 19th century European idea that was imposed into an attempt to solve a problem that arose in early-to-mid 19th century Europe - especially in Germany and France. The problem was the mass migration of millions of illiterate peasants off the land into the cities to take jobs in factories under horrendous conditions.
Many of these peasants and their advocates - (syndicalists, socialists, communists, etc.) emigrated to the U.S., bringing their problems and their attitudes with them.
We are over a hundred years past this stage, yet the Union Movement is still stuck back in the 19th century at the Homestead Mine with immigrant firebrand Mother Jones.
Aren´t these generally the people with "co-exist" bumper stickers on their cars (usually right next to Obama stickers)? I´m confused. /s Trying to talk sense to these people is like banging my head against a wall: it hurts and I don´t get anywhere.
No, all these employees should be wearinga vest.It would be like a marathon runner vest.On it would say: "Am I working Hard? Report goof offs" And then an employee number and an 800 number. Then we can see some correction. My relative works for a big public entity, is in a union, finishes his job in about 3-4 hrs and then he and the others hide out in an eco-preserve where there are large trees until the end of their shift. Get this, they don´t even have a time clock in the dept for them or any one ! This is what is wrong with unions
Well, now at least the handyman who comes to fix the flooring will be allowed to pound a nail into the wall to hang a bulletin board... several years ago, in my office in Ann Arbor, I asked a handyman if he could help me hang something heavy...he did it but I had to promise not to tell.
Sooo...It´s not the Tea Party that is the one advocating violence and blood shed? What´s up with the "all inclusive" party advocating slaughter of human beings and out right destruction of their state? How does that bring about a "brotherhood" of workers all gathered together in their "one family" communist Utopia?
We are looking at the future of the Republican Party. Forget trying to form a conservative third party. It´s not necessary.
After all the fretting about the lack of a bench at the national level of the Republican Party, this should give us all hope. While the entire current crop of would-be Republican presidential candidates at the national level are busy trying to figure out ways to not lose, there are literally thousands of conservative men and women playing take-no-prisoners triple A political hardball out in the boonies, and they´re not afraid to get their uniforms dirty. This is how the Tea Party takes over the Republican Party. From the ground up.
These people keep inciting bloodshed & riots. Typical liberals will not know what to do if they get what they want. We have the guns, the population, and the anger from being fed up with these fools. Punching Steven Crowder? Bring it on.
Well, it´s got to start somewhere. Michigan is as good a place as any. Bring it on you public service union thugs. How many UAW, SEIU, AFL-CIO, UMWA and teachers union members want to finance the losing side of the next civil war? Even with the DOJ and IRS gestapos on your side you won´t fare well if a civil is what your leaders are calling for. And you can be sure none of them will be on the front lines.
I read or heard an article a couple of days ago that companies searching around for some other place or state to relocate to have told the searchers to NOT even consider ANY state that in NOT a right to work state. Now, I just wonder if the unions have heard about this? My guess is that they have and are scared ****less because of it. And for all the uproar caused by unions, it´s amazing that unions only make up 8% of the non-public sector work force. Yet they cause a large amount of trouble.
And if memory serves me, I seem to recall that a some time in the past that most of the large labor unions were controlled by the Mafia. Have the Dims simply evolved into them?
Tony Camargo aka "Tony The Enforcer"? How´d you like to have a fat useless sausage-eating union thug like that for a next door neighbor? One thing we can probably be sure about. Hoffa´s dad is probably either sitting at the bottom of a river somewhere or he´s in a million pieces. Nice crowd that union bunch. Obama kinda fits in with that crowd. Lies through his teeth, wants to take your money.

In February, the Bush family’s personal emails were hacked by Guccifer, a hacker who uncovered photographs of former President George H. W. Bush in a hospital bed and George W. Bush’s oil paintings in the process. It seems Guccifer has struck again, this time targeting former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Library. The hacker has reportedly uncovered doodles of Clinton drawing on what were, at the time, classified documents. Among the doodles is apparently a picture of a penis. The document uncovered is a briefing of the strategic measures the United States could take prior Clinton’s decision to intervene in
A witness in the case of the murder of Venezuelan Ambassador Olga Fonseca in Kenya 2012 told a court in Nairobi on Wednesday that the diplomatic mission would use the diplomatic bag for drug-trafficking purposes. "I am aware that the embassy was used to traffic drugs using the diplomatic bag," said former embassy driver Kevin Lameck, AFP reported. Fonseca, aged 57, was found strangled to death in her residence in Nairobi in July 2012. Seven people have been accused in the case, including Dwight Sagaray, the then first secretary of the embassy. Lameck´s statement was issued during cross-examination by Sagarya´s defense Lawyer Katwa Kigen.

Socialism: Venezuela´s President Nicolas Maduro unveiled his big plan for socialism Monday night, just as a blackout engulfed the country. Sure, it´s comical. In California, energy officials warn that the state and others like it face a catastrophic collapse of its power grid due to the many green energy schemes that have made managing energy flow difficult. "Energy officials worry a lot these days
Looting and robbing spread to several areas of the Argentine city of Cordoba on Tuesday evening and night following a walkout from the police in the midst of a conflict over pay and other benefits. The Supermarkets association has anticipated its members will not open their stores on Wednesday unless police forces are back patrolling the streets of Argentina´s third largest city which is also an important manufacturing pole. Television film showed mostly youngsters breaking into supermarkets and robbing food, drinks and electronics, while the stores were defenseless. Women could also be seen.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – A majority of Croatians voted in a referendum Sunday to ban gay marriages in what is a major victory for the Catholic Church-backed conservatives in the European Union´s newest nation. The state electoral commission, citing initial results, said 65 percent of those who voted answered "yes" to the referendum question: "Do you agree that marriage is matrimony between a man and a woman?" About 34 percent voted against. The result meant that Croatia´s constitution will be amended to ban same-sex marriage. The vote has deeply divided Croatia. Liberal groups have said the referendum´s question infringes on basic human rights. The
On his way to the podium at the memorial ceremony for former South African president Nelson Mandela, President Obama walked down the line of dignitaries, greeting other leaders there to pay their respects. Among the hands shaken: that of Cuban leader Raul Castro. Obama neither made a special effort to shake Castro’s hand nor to avoid him. A snub might have been awkward: In his speech, Obama praised Mandela’s “greatest gift” as “his recognition that we are all bound together in ways that can be invisible to the eye; that there is a oneness to humanity; that we achieve ourselves by
The Obama State Department has finally released a second round of photos revealing the harrowing devastation wrought by a terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012. The new photographs depict rampant damage to the consulate. They show charred walls, smoldering fires, Arabic graffiti defacing exterior walls, and scattered debris throughout. The extent of the damage would lead any reasonably serious person to conclude that this was a cold, calculated attack, carefully coordinated to mark the 11th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately for the American people, the Obama-Clinton-Rice cabal that led to the Benghazi cover-up was

A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
Just how much do many Hollywood liberals hate conservatives? MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word.
