| Tugging a huge red sack stuffed with toys, First Lady Michelle Obama delivered about 900 gifts to the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots campaign but perhaps lost in the seriousness of her mission, forgot to wear her smile. ...well, I made a point of watching the video. Was concerned they may have selected the worst perhaps. The woman is a geniune sour puss. Maybe she didn´t know she was expected to do some work. I did see a slight smile as she was drifting between boxes to be filled. I think that was more to do with nerves. She seemed lost in the process...
...maybe she just found out that hubby was going to stay in DC longer, though I would think that could bring a smile...

The red sack on her shoulder is more stylish than the hideous orange thing she is actually wearing.
She should ditch the orange thing and wear the sack. Much easier on the eyes. Most of what wears looks as though it´s on the verge of exploding.

I agree that the reason behind the perpetual scowl is that she despises the military, and now that her husband has been re-elected she does not have to continue with the pretense of enjoying doing some charity work for free.

I think she´s mad because the left wing media is already coronating Hillary as the next president.
There´s plenty of old school dems suffering in silence under the tin horn dictator in Obama and they´re afraid to speak out.
All these cermonial things Mo des along with her absurd let´s move program are intended to set her up as the obvious successor to Obama.If she sees that fading away,she´ll be less inclined to do these dumb PR stunts.
I used to be a big fan of toys for tots but it´s become a racket for the poverty crowd to get free stuff when they burn their checks up on drugs alcohol and lottery tickets.The same thing is happening with well intentioned food banks.People driving up in Escalades to get free food.
"Needy people" has become an industry in itself.
Maybe I´m just becoming too cynical.

WASHINGTON - There were new questions Saturday night concerning if anyone in the White House was aware of the IRS´ targeting of conservative groups. Inspector General Russell George said he informed a deputy at the Treasury Department in June of 2012 about the probe into the IRS. The Treasury Department confirmed the timeline but said they did not know the details of the investigation until last week.(Snip)Marcus Owens ran the tax-exempt division at the IRS for 10 years. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew on Friday urged congressional leaders to raise the debt limit and insisted that the White House is not going to negotiate over the increase because lawmakers have "no choice." "We will not negotiate over the debt limit," Lew wrote. "The creditworthiness of the United States is non-negotiable. The question of whether the country must pay obligations it has already incurred is not open to debate." Lew said that while President Obama is willing to discuss plans to reduce the nation´s deficit with Congress, those talks must be kept separate from any effort to raise the nation´s debt cap.
