White House’s business adviser says
China’s ‘state-run communism’ works

The chairman of President Barack Obama’s job council has endorsed China’s style of crony capitalism, saying “state-run communism may not be your cup of tea, but their government works.” Jeff Immelt is the dual-hatted chairman of the President’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and of General Electric, a huge company with businesses in many domestic and international sectors, including China. He used a Dec. 10 television interview to suggest that China’s type of state-run capitalism has been great for business while lamenting the state of the American economy.

Nazi Germany worked - and very efficiently too - but that does not mean it should be mimicked.

Even if he believes state run communism works, how unseemly for a representative of our government to suggest such a thing.

Slavery worked too, you putz.

Lots of people admired Mussolini´s fascist state because the trains ran on time. Bummer for the people victimized by the system, but boy, was it efficient!

If Immelt were alive at the time, no doubt he´d praise Il Duce as well.

Well then Mr. Immelt, why don´t you permanently relocate your sorry behind to China? I know you won´t because you haven´t finished trashing America...let us know when you are done so we can bury you and your company in a trash heap and get on with rebuilding this great country!

The China government is working great for the few that are high up in the goverment.
Just like in America they fly around in jets and helicopters eating and drinking on the people money.
How about the 3 Billion people that have 10 percent of what our poor have.
A few years back I spent a couple of months traveling all over China. We got a newspaper that was in english. Every evening Chinas secret service woulkd pick up the newspaper so the common people did not see it.
In the newspaper, they said the poverty in the rural ares are eliminated. By their definition poverty was $39 per year and now the average person in tural areas made $50 per year!
Damn that reall sounds like the govern, ment is working great.
I had a left wing friend state kjust last week how the Cuban government was pretty good as it had lasted for 50 years You can´t fix dumb.

With the exception of all the bribery necessary to oil the system as well as the slave labor that destroys the US economy for all but the global elite and people who rely more on their investments far more than actually creating value in real terms, yeah.

I think what he means is

A. They are kicking our butt
B. It´s an improvement on the past

You know if that´s the kind of reasoning they´re going to use then I´ll just offer some equivalently offensive examples.
Slavery worked pretty well to get the pyramids built. And let´s not forget those successful cotton plantations in the old South.

Now the truth. Communism has not worked in China. And neither did the oppressive crony kingdom that preceded it. It´s slight move towards capitalism is the only thing that has pulled it out of the economic doldrums. It has a big economy right now only because it has so many people. On a per-capita basis their economy is awful.

Way to put more folks out of work by using child labor. Jenna, you may want to hide your baby in the bull-rushes. That only gives Obama and Jarrett four years to continue tearing down this country in order to convince us that state-run communism will be good for us.

Immelt has made GE the model of the giant business which courts (euphemism) governments to secure preferences and contracts.

And a business can sometimes make a lot of money that way. So it is not surprising to hear him praise the Chinese approach. If that government changed course tomorrow he would praise that too.

As #7 says Mussolini and Fascism would seem to be his ideal. The state blocks competitors, allows profits, and does not nationalize. The business obeys and endorses the state.

Let´s talk about the Great Wall of China. Who built it? Definitely not union labor. If my meory is correct, I read/heard that the men that didn´t want to work on the wall were buried alive inside it. The United Brotherhood of Stone Wall Builders did not come to their rescue.

Yeah, the cronyism, the corruption and most importantly...the kleptocracy. They are great for those CHOSEN businesses that the state controls or that are in bed with the state. The quid pro quo keeps them in the secondary business of corruption. Sickening that this stuff is said and there is NO outrage from the citizens. You know, I saw the short film by Matthew Modine called "Jesus was a Commie". He claims it isn´t about the kind of communism that Stalin, Mao or Castro had (because they corrupted the concept. Uh, NO! They just acted on normal human behaviors and fallibilities and the real consequences emerged as will always emerge under such a plan. In truth, all "commmunism" is the same and ends up with corruption, manipulation and massive suffering. Modine is a fool because he doesn´t understand the real meaning behind a lot of the things written in the Bible. They use simplistic interpretations without understanding context. No, Jesus was NOT a commie. And there is no "other" kind of communism that can be kinder and gentler and work for the good of all. I am so sick of these people pushing something they really don´t understand.

Let´s just call the new US regime La PRI (Institutional Revolution Party ). If you remember that was the gangster party which ruled Mexico as basically a one-party dictatorship for approximately 70-60 years. We´ve been importing potential PRI voters for a long time. Now we are reaping the consequences. But just face it, the United States has become a big fat carcass that the vultures will take their good time chowing down on. And believe me, we have the right head vulture in the White House to preside over the feast.

So Immelt fessed up to the obvious? With 0bama´s support, he apparently feels VERY sure of himself to have made this admission. Of course, there was no mention of RED China´s brute force tyranny in the pbs interview, which curiously had the cbs, ´eye logo,´ all over the set.

Both Charlie Rose & Emmelt seem to LOVE the PC, ´´The Third Way,´´ (although they no longer use that term for it), which is the EU´s method of attempting blend the tyranny of communism with Liberty´s capitalism. ...No good can come of this.

Obama does resemble that great Chinese communist, Chairman Mao in one regard: in a time when the country´s economy was failing, the leader resorted to demagogy and scapegoating successful people. Ultimately, innocent lives were lost and the country lost a generation of productive people and is only now catching up. In that one way, Obama is going to end up cursing America.

China´s totalitarian communist government "works" Mr. Immelt because the United States of America has been buying all their goods while ignoring their human rights abuses. When this administration finally destroys our economy, theirs will go down with us.

Gen. John Allen has been appointed special U.S. envoy on security issues in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. He will not mediate between the parties; his work will almost exclusively involve contacts with Israel. Allen will deal with the U.S. position on Israeli security needs and the security arrangements that would accompany the establishment of a future Palestinian state. Senior U.S. and Israeli officials note that while U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel made the appointment it was coordinated with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who is leading the effort to restart Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up.
