How about the 3 Billion people that have 10 percent of what our poor have.
A few years back I spent a couple of months traveling all over China. We got a newspaper that was in english. Every evening Chinas secret service woulkd pick up the newspaper so the common people did not see it.
In the newspaper, they said the poverty in the rural ares are eliminated. By their definition poverty was $39 per year and now the average person in tural areas made $50 per year!

Now the truth. Communism has not worked in China. And neither did the oppressive crony kingdom that preceded it. It´s slight move towards capitalism is the only thing that has pulled it out of the economic doldrums. It has a big economy right now only because it has so many people. On a per-capita basis their economy is awful.

As #7 says Mussolini and Fascism would seem to be his ideal. The state blocks competitors, allows profits, and does not nationalize. The business obeys and endorses the state.

Let´s talk about the Great Wall of China. Who built it? Definitely not union labor. If my meory is correct, I read/heard that the men that didn´t want to work on the wall were buried alive inside it. The United Brotherhood of Stone Wall Builders did not come to their rescue.

The irony is even Chinese Finance Ministers question the USA´s current spending spree.

Uh, NO! They just acted on normal human behaviors and fallibilities and the real consequences emerged as will always emerge under such a plan. In truth, all "commmunism" is the same and ends up with corruption, manipulation and massive suffering. Modine is a fool because he doesn´t understand the real meaning behind a lot of the things written in the Bible. They use simplistic interpretations without understanding context. No, Jesus was NOT a commie. And there is no "other" kind of communism that can be kinder and gentler and work for the good of all. I am so sick of these people pushing something they really don´t understand.

Let´s just call the new US regime La PRI (Institutional Revolution Party ). If you remember that was the gangster party which ruled Mexico as basically a one-party dictatorship for approximately 70-60 years. We´ve been importing potential PRI voters for a long time. Obama does resemble that great Chinese communist, Chairman Mao in one regard: in a time when the country´s economy was failing, the leader resorted to demagogy and scapegoating successful people.
