| Medical plans are facing an unexpected new fee. It´s to help cover people with pre-existing conditions under President Obama´s health care overhaul. The $63-per-head fee -- buried in a recent regulation -- will hit health plans serving an estimated 190 million Americans, mostly workers and their families. It´s payable starting in 2014. Employers are not happy. Obama administration says fee is "temporary", for only three years, to raise $25billion. We all know how "temporary" works. Only tax cuts are temporary.

Read in another article that congress has the option of renewing this "temporary" tax and make it permanent. What are the chances?

So now an average family of four (and this isn´t limited to evil rich folks) will now pay $252 a year to pay for someone else to have insurance. It is nothing more than welfare for the ill. And we all know a family of four can easily pay an additional $252 a year because its really all about fairness.

BS. It will all go to the insurance parasites as originally planned. Obamacare isn´t what the real leftists wanted, as the ONLY winner is te insurance industry, which has been hard at work, robbing us of our money, for pactically no return in MOST cases.
If I am ever king, the insurance parasites will be the first ones whacked.

The fee may be temporary but the massive hikes in private insurance premiums won´t be. You can´t add all of the high cost patients to a system that uses community rating and allows the healthy to opt out by paying a penalty. It won´t work. You´ll have massive cost shifting to the remaining healthy privately insured. Sorry to keep using massive.

I think everytime they think of something else, they write a regulation. It´s a document in process. Changes by the day. We´re so scroooooed. I will say again~I have never in my life heard of something like this passing with all of the dhims getting waivers, they voted on it for the republicans but don´t have to participate. MOORE, Okla. Authorities have clarified and significantly downgraded the number of homes damaged or destroyed in this week´s tornado in an Oklahoma City suburb. Oklahoma City Police Department spokesman Dexter Nelson said Thursday that the most recent count indicates that 1,200 homes in the city and the suburb of Moore were affected by Monday´s storm. The mayor of Oklahoma City announced at a news conference Wednesday that as many as 13,000 homes had been destroyed or damaged. There was no immediate explanation for the differing estimates.
