Obama Campaign — Yes, You Read
that Right — Launches Capitol
Call Program Against Republicans
in Fiscal Cliff Standoff

By federal law, the Obama-Biden campaign is supposed to disband. But it shows no signs of disbanding, and is instead launching a whole new campaign. In an email sent out today and signed by Obama campaign deputy manager Stephanie Cutter, Obama-Biden is urging supporters to flood the capitol switchboard in Washington with calls to Republican congressman. Callers are urged to pressure GOPers into caving to the president’s demand for higher taxes. Cutter casts the debate disingenuously, as the president defending tax cuts for the middle class while Republicans would be making a “conscious choice” to hike

Comments:
I had no idea that federal law requires the campaign to disband. This regime never stops campaigning. The law never applies to these criminals.

There are good reasons why a law prescribes that one-side campaigning cease after the election.

Something to do with Stalin, Hitler, etc.

This group has no regard for the law. It´s just sad that voters did not see that. But as Rush said low informed voters (if they listen get their news from liberal media) do not care either as long as they get their free stuff.
We are going over the Fiscal cliff so we all will suffer under new taxes even those who voted for him. I did not vote for him or any Democrat!!!

As another poster is fond of saying, "Have you had enough yet"?

Sounds like Al Gore´s, "No controlling legal authority".

Maybe the house could send a few federal marshals over to round up the perpetrators and throw them in jail?

Telling Obama to stop campaining would be like telling a fish to stop swimming in water. This is all he´s got. This is the only thing he can do, be a rabble rouser and "fight" the enemies he has created.

How about it, Holder, you going to prevent the illegal campaigning? Oh, you are not? They are paying you how much under the table?

Will somebody tell this fool that the campaigns are over and he is now supposed to come home to DC and get to work?
What is it about all this that he doesn´t understand?

I hope all you folks that voted for him are proud of what you have done.

Seems to me like the Republicans need to start campaigning and educating voters using the same tools. The problem we´ve had, going back at least to the GW Bush years, is that we refused to contend with the Democrats in the arena of ideas. If voters never hear our side of the issue, how do we expect them to support us?

So where is the RNC? File a lawsuit to stop this and report them to Election Commission.

I sense the primary mission for this continued campaign organization is to be after the ´fiscal cliff´ results occur. Is this to be the convenient (and contrived) crisis that they will use as the tipping-point for their shift to Socialism?

Obama certainly does love to campaign, but what if the reason he didn´t close down his campaign is that he is already campaigning for President in 2016?

Of course, there is that little matter of the 22nd Amendment limiting Presidents to 2 terms, but Obama has ignored other parts of the Constitution, so why not this too?

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz announced an amendment to the Senate immigration bill to block a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants on Wednesday. Cruz previously attempted to insert the amendment to prevent a pathway in the Judiciary Committee mark-up of the legislation. The Texas Republican has been a vocal opponent of allowing illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, explaining that is is unfair to those who waited in line to come to the country legally.“A path to citizenship is the most divisive aspect of this bill,” Cruz told “The Fine Point” earlier this month.

Report: Building resilience to

is ‘woefully underfunded’

The federal government spends six times more on disaster recovery than helping communities become resilient to extreme weather that’s predicted to become more intense and frequent in a warming world, a new study shows. The analysis by the Center for American Progress (CAP), a prominent liberal think tank, labels the approach “pound foolish” and calls for a dedicated fund for “community resilience” fed by higher levies on fossil fuel production. “We must help communities enhance their ability to withstand the high winds, flood waters, scorching heat, searing wild fires, and parched earth from extreme weather,”

President Obama´s top climate adviser on Wednesday vowed that “meaningful” action on global warming was coming soon. Heather Zichal, the deputy assistant to the president on energy and climate change, said she didn’t want to get “in front of the big man” and unveil specific plans during an event in Washington, D.C. hosted by The New Republic. She spoke broadly, however, of bolstering energy efficiency, expanding clean energy on public lands and using various “tools” -- including the Clean Air Act -- to address climate. Zichal’s comments come as speculation grows that the administration is preparing sweeping

The FBI uses drones to watch specific targets within the United States, the bureau’s chief said Wednesday. FBI Director Robert Mueller told senators the agency uses drones infrequently for surveillance in the U.S. and only in regards to specific investigations. “Our footprint is very small,” Mueller said in testimony. “We have very few and have limited use.” Mueller made the revelation before the Senate Judiciary Committee after being questioned by the panel’s ranking member, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). Mueller said he wasn’t certain whether the FBI had any official agreements with other agencies — such as the

The Obama administration has reportedly contacted the National Basketball Association (NBA) about a role in promoting healthcare reform around the country. Efforts to sell ObamaCare are ramping up ahead of October, when people can begin signing up for the new insurance exchanges, and January, when the exchange coverage kicks in. Many have speculated that the enrollment campaigns would benefit from a celebrity endorsement or partnership with a major sports league. The news of a possible collaboration between the White House and the NBA was reported by Politico, which cited health officials in

A group of whistleblowers, including a number of aviation experts, have come forward in a new documentary to claim that the official explanation for the crash of TWA Flight 800 was wrong and a gas tank explosion did not bring down the flight off the coast of Long Island 17 years ago. However, the six whistleblowers, all part of the original investigation team, stopped short of saying the plane was shot down. Flight 800, a Boeing 747, had just taken off from JFK airport with 230 people aboard on July 17, 1996 enroute to Paris when it exploded

Amid a steady rise of backlash, Edward Snowden, the 29-year-old former National Security Agency contractor who was the source of a spring of leaks about the agency´s surveillance methods, conducted a live chat on The Guardian´s website Monday morning. Judging from some of the pointed questions he´s been asked and the reaction to newly leaked revelations over the past few days, it´s clear that much of the sympathy and support Snowden had built up for his early exposures is eroding. Many Americans supported his decision to leak information about a pair of National Security Agency surveillance programs, which, he detailed, gathered information

An attorney whose firm represents two Benghazi whistleblowers said Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, lied to the Senate when he said there was never a “stand down” order during the Benghazi attack on Sept. 11, 2012. “What was fascinating is that he explained his lie to them,” Joe DiGenova, an attorney representing one of the whistleblowers, told CNSNews.com. “He actually said they were sent to Tripoli. They were needed in Benghazi,” said DiGenova, a former U.S. attorney, now with the Washington firm of DiGenova & Toensing.

Jeb Bush says he’s not worried that his work toward comprehensive immigration reform and his ties to the GOP establishment will alienate conservatives and negatively impact a potential 2016 presidential campaign, referring to critics as “the chirpers.” “If I decide to run for office again, it will be based on what I believe, and it will be based on my record,” the former Florida governor said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody. “And that record was one of solving problems completely from a conservative prospective.” Bush (R) pointed to his conservative

Charlie Rose last night asked President Obama his new Syria policy. The president first objected to it being called a new policy. "I´m not sure you can characterize this as a new policy. This is consistent with the policy that I´ve had throughout," he said. Obama then explained the goal is regional stability, and especially in Syria. "Really, what we´re trying to do is take sides against extremists of all sorts and in favor of people who are in favor of moderation, tolerance, representative government, and over the long-term, stability and prosperity for the people of Syria," said Obama.

Marco Rubio. Paul Ryan. The IRS. Illegal immigration. And fraud to the tune of billions.. Now there’s a combustible mix. Let’s start with the IRS, illegal immigration and fraud. We’ll come back in a minute to Senator Rubio and Congressman Ryan. For those who came in late, a year before the IRS scandals burst onto the scene in early May of 2013, an alert investigative reporter for WTHR-Indianapolis (Channel 13), Bob Segall by name, produced a stunning piece of journalism. Segall’s video report is found here and we will quote from his story for the basics.
