MSNBC Anchor Sneers:
´Is the South Ready
for a Black Senator?´

Following Senator Jim DeMint’s abrupt resignation to run The Heritage Foundation, much has been made over who South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley might name to replace him. One name mentioned is that of African American Congressman Tim Scott, a prospect which prompted MSNBC anchor Richard Lui to sneer: "... Is the South ready for a black Senator?" On Friday’s MSNBC Live, Lui baited fellow MSNBCer Melissa Harris-Perry into trashing the South as intolerant. Surprisingly, she did not fall into this trap. [See video below page break. MP3 audio here.]

Comments:
I´m sure Chris Matthews and the rest of the idiots at MessNBC will call her out for being the racist that she truly is. s/o I shouldn´t be, but I continue to be shocked that they are allowed to conduct themselves like this on national television. It is absolutely reprehensible. They are the ultimate hypocrites.

Anybody wanna bet that there will be a "special" tax rate for people making the big bucks at GE, NBC, MSNBC and Comcash?

Lui is a silly ass. Tim Scott would be a great choice. The south would be a lot more accepting of him than the liberals in the Northeast--he´s a conservative. Lui ought to actually spend some time in the South. He might actually like it.

I have a feeling that more people reading Luciane.com will know this than watched it live. Often wonder why we give them so much attention.

The first black US Senator was Hiram Revels of Mississippi. Elected in 1870 as a Republican.

We in the south love Tim Scott and pray that he becomes the new Senator following Jim Demint. Rep. Scott is soft spoken, intelligent and a political conservative; just what the doctor ordered for the Republican Party that his been so slandered by the lying left.

One thing is for certain... the Dimocrats a NOT ready for a black conservative in the senate (or anywhere on the planet).

This is an example of how liberals believe their own lies and propaganda. They think the south is so racist, they´ll never stand for a black guy being appointed to such a high position. They continue to think all opposition to Obama is race based, not that he´s killing the American way.

Impeaching President

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Several days ago some fringe “conservatives” mentioned the idea of impeaching President Obama. For reasons as obvious as they are numerous, that is a terrible idea. Saying that is like throwing chum out to the worst conservatives, the ones who act like liberals, the ones who are all angry instinct, who rather than strategize their way to victory would rather sweep the pieces off the table and throw a tantrum on the floor. Serious and effective conservatism demands putting facts and reason above emotion and hysteria. Some comments concerning potential impeachment are so

Sen. Harry Reid said Wednesday that he will push to confirm more judges to the federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., after that court ruled earlier this year that President Obama’s broad use of recess appointment powers was unconstitutional. “You have a majority in that court that is wrecking havoc in the country. For the first time in 230 years, they ruled the president can’t make a recess appointment, so yes there is a crisis,” Mr. Reid, the chamber’s leader, said on the Senate floor as he begged for quick action on more of the president’s judicial nominees.

Mayor Bloomberg went on a spitting-mad rant against a city cab-fleet boss who won a court victory over Hizzoner’s planned “Taxi of Tomorrow” — vowing to “destroy your f--king industry” when he leaves office, The Post has learned. A fuming Bloomberg made the threat against Taxi Club Management CEO Gene Freidman at Madison Square Garden’s private 1879 Club during last Thursday’s Knick playoff game, a witness said yesterday. “It was like Gene had kidnapped his child. He used the f-word twice,” the witness said. Freidman confirmed the blow-up to The Post, and said Bloomberg’s tirade included the warning that,

According to Republican Rep. Jim Jordan and White House visitor logs, former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House 118 times in 2010 and 2011. This is the same time period when Tea Party groups were inappropriately targeted and intimidated by the IRS. Testifying in front of lawmakers on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Shulman admitted that many of the meetings with the White House were to discuss how to implement ObamaCare. "The IRS has a major roll in the money flow," Shulman said. Shulman denied ever discussing 501c(4) groups with White House officials

Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, whose career in public life came to an abrupt end when he sent lewd pictures to a college student on Twitter, jumped back into politics on Wednesday by announcing a bid for mayor of New York City. “Look, I’ve made some big mistakes and I know I’ve let a lot of people down,” the Democrat said in a 2-minute video announcing his bid. “But I’ve also learned some tough lessons. I’m running for mayor because I’ve been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it for my entire life.

The dam protecting the IRS scandal began to crack today when Lois Lerner, the IRS official who announced, and apologized for, the improper singling out of conservative-leaning organizations by IRS employees under her command, announced through her criminal defense lawyer that she will not testify as scheduled tomorrow before the House Oversight Committee. Rather, she will assert her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. This marks an enormous milestone in the IRS investigation. It can now be taken as more or less established that crimes were committed by Obama administration employees. Lerner’s lawyer tried to minimize the significance

The wheels came off the Obama administration yesterday. We learned of a startling assault on freedom of the press by the Department of Justice, following the revelation last week of the unprecedented information-gathering foray by that department against The Associated Press. Then, a few minutes later, the Justice Department’s inspector general released a report declaring that the US attorney in Arizona used the leak of a confidential memo to try to discredit a whistleblower in the notorious “gun-walking” scandal known as Fast and Furious (which got two federal agents killed). The leak was called “egregious.”

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups. Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd. Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.

Former Democratic National committee chairman Howard Dean considers the controversy over Benghazi a “joke” and “silly.” “Benghazi is a laughable joke,” Dean proclaimed twice in a discussion with Republican National Committee communications chairman Sean Spicer last week. “With all due respect, governor, when four Americans die serving this country, that’s not a joke, sir,” Spicer responded. “Oh, stop it,” said Dean. The former Democratic presidential candidate also said that there were “no serious questions being asked about Benghazi” and brushed it off as an effort by Republicans to score political points.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
