RG3 is good, and seems like a great guy. But, it´s been less than one season. As Bill Parcells once famously said about a rookie, let´s not put him in Canton yet.

Cam Newton is going to lead Carolina to this years Super Bowl, just go back to the end of last season and listen to the experts. Griffins exciting and athletic. Wait until he takes a big shot and gets knocked out of a few games. He´ll be a too short pocket passer. Ravens will do a number on him this weekend.

So, I calculated the odds of a rare event happening the same way twice in one 3 month span to the same person:

5 trillion to one that the ´fumble´ was a fumble and not a planned forward pass.

And the love he is being showered with? I´d say it was comparable to UhhhbamaLove, but at least RGIII did SOMETING to deserve it......

RGIII is a great guy. Odds are that if he ever had the misfortune of shaking hands with the putrid Sally, he´d have his hand boiled.

As for a Super Bowl this year? It´d be a better bet that Obama stops lying.

Griffin is a fine, Christian young man and was the epitome of the scholar-athlete in HS and college. He may not last long in the NFL but comparisons to Cam Newton are silly. The only thing they have in common is the Heisman. Griffin´s parents are both career Army veterans and they ensured their son was well grounded, regardless of his star athlete status. His mantra to young aspiring athletes is God, Family, School, and then Sports. I only hope DC doesn´t do to him what it does to a lot of well-meaning politicians.

The chances of the Redskins getting to the playoffs this season are slim. But RG3 will lead them to a Super Bowl four years from now.

Whatever he is or isn´t, whatever he does or doesn´t accomplish -- if I never, ever hear the sophomoric "RG3" again, it will still be too soon.

#8, I can only presume you don´t know much about his background. RG3 was raised by military parents and is a fine example of both an athlete and a young man. He actually graduated from Baylor in 3 years and was working on his master´s degree last year when he had his ´senior´ season and won the Heisman. Smart, savvy, respectful...and caring. He was on the sidelines of Baylor´s last game, encouraging his former teammates in a game that meant they got a bowl invitation. He also went out of his way to talk to the opposing team players after the game and congratulate them on a game well-played.

Yeah, soon we´ll be hearing "C3PO just got sacked by Optimus Prime!!!!"

He´s got all the tools, but he´ll run one too many times and land on IR. They all do.

They were calling him RG3 at Baylor in his freshman year. It stuck. At least he didn´t have to make one up like ´Catfish´ hunter.

. . . and Robert truly is a great guy. He had excellent grades at Baylor, graduated early, and that ain´t easy at Jerusalem on the Brazos. He knows how fortunate he is, but he also worked HARD to get where he is. He knows it isn´t forever, but he´s enjoying it while it´s here. When he gets through with the NFL, he has said he´d like to go back to school and finish what his original goal - make it through Baylor Law School.

And he´s a conservative and a Christian.

Patriots fan here living in Redskins territory. I love watching RG3 play. He has so much fun on the field, and his smile is infectious. My teenaged son´s friend goes to the same church as RG3. I asked her if she ever talked to him. She said no because he´s "always too busy praying and stuff."
