| Wall Street Journal columnist Daniel Henninger appeared on Fox & Friends on Friday where he warned that presidents who do not preside over growing economies in their second terms tend not to be recalled favorably by posterity. Henninger said he thought that President Barack Obama’s legacy ‘would be ashes’ if his second term is characterized by consistently low economic growth. I find it interesting that people always talk in terms of historical precedent. You simply cannot compare what is going on today and how America will react/remember to how America reacted/remembered in the past. Our populace has largely been transformed from American to Un-American.
Moreover, the people will look upon Obama as they are told to look upon Obama -- the dimocrat party owns the MSM in this country, and so owns the perceptions of most of the people. He will be our glorious dear leader forevermore, with his image pasted on walls of buildings everywhere, and statues and monuments to his greatness at every turn.

I saw this interview and if more people would watch Fox they might want to vote against the dems next time. I wanted to slap Cavuto´s head this morning, he mentioned that the stats were up something like a quarter or an eigth of a percent. It is because stores had to hire a few part time workers for the Christmas rush. I do not think there is much of a rush, but we will see.

That assumes Obama wants his legacy to be that of a President who made America prosperous, as opposed to that of a "citizen of the world" who cut an arrogant superpower down to size.

Oh, so WRONG! America, as a constitutional republic, is dead. The federal government propaganda machine will write the legacy, and Obama will be a secular god. There will be statues, books, and songs to celebrate his greatness. I wish conservatives would realize what has happened. Everything has swiftly and radically changed.

I put obama in the same category of the Japanese Imperial Navy which "visited" Pearl Harbor 71 years ago today. The came to destroy America. Same thing with obama.

Just can´t stop looking at the world through the same prism...historically we´ve not had a President (daresay a government in general) that was fundamentally at odds with the traditional American culture of achievement, nor was there a "World Government" like the UN has become just waiting for prosperous nations to sign away their sovereignty . The conflict that may yet occur will all go down the memory hole soon.
