| The just-filed suit by George Zimmerman against NBC Universal and three employees furnishes some flaming legal invective. It claims that NBC News, via its repeated mis-editing of a 911 audiotape, portrayed Zimmerman as a “racist and predatory villain.” The motivation behind such a portrayal, charges the suit, was to gin up “topics” for the network’s “failing news programs.” Tough-sounding stuff. The goods to back up the suit’s central allegations are all out there on video feeds across the Internet. NBC News editing of that 911 audiotape gave viewers the impression that Zimmerman had

Of course it won´t happen but it would finally send a message to liberals that production of lies to further a political cause under the ruse of ´new´ is no longer acceptable if Zimmerman won.

This travesty of injustice must stop.
NBC participated in a hoax against Zimmerman and must be punished.

well, they say the best defense is a good offense.
i would not have preferred martin to get shot, but after all, he was the one who chose to turn the non-violent exchange into a life-threatening assault. even if zimmerman were my worst enemy, i would say he had the right to defend his own life.

At the very least, George Z. should be allowed to select someone from NBC management and beat their head against the sidewalk for a while.

Admitting to twisting facts and editing tapes already? They are trying to minimize the damage. If I were Zimmerman I would demand $100 million in punitive damages.

Best of luck George. I mean that seriously. Maybe somebody should start a defense fund for him. I feel like he is doing this on behalf of us too. Haven´t we all wished for somebody to take on the dragon? Maybe St. George has finally arrived.

The comments at the end of the article really prove Zimmerman´s case. Some posters call him a racist murderer. It sounds like NBC tried and convicted him successfully in the eyes of some of its viewers.

Yes indeed, NBC caused more harm to George. Mentioning that he was black did the trick, and George was only answering a question, he did not volunteer that Martin was black. NBC ran with the white guy killing the poor innocent black kid who was shopping for Skittles. Of course, everyone is still showing the old young photos of Martin, not the ones on the social media that shows him with gangster grids on his teeth and talking about getting the skittles and watermelon drink (which is added to cold medicine to make a high). Hope all of this comes out in the trial. Also his school records are rife with misbehavior. I have already given to the Zimmerman fund and will try to do so again. He can not work, can not go anywhere and his wife is in the same boat and had to give up her nursing studies because of the threats against them. Someone has said that we have gone from blacks sitting at the back of the bus to nowadays sitting on a pedestal...they can do no wrong.

So, we´ve heard from the left about revoking the FCC broadcast license to the syndicate that airs the Rush Limbaugh show, for his "hate" speech. Then, why should NBC News keep their license after Food Lion, Chevrolet pick up trucks and now this deliberate fabrication against George Zimmerman? These three cases (the only ones I know about) are not a product of sloppy journalism; they were deliberate fabrications to present as "news" a narrative known to NBC News as false. These would be grounds for revoking their broadcast license.

The article admits NBC did it, but then says others did also. That is not true. Others did not falsely edit tapes. NBC is going to pay.

#16, they slandered Jewell but the case the Feds were building against him collapsed before they could indict him. As it was, the only thing that saved him in the long run was that a deputy in NC caught the real bomber dumpster-diving. Once they had that guy and it was clear the Feds and MSM had been persecuting what they knew to be a innocent man, he started filing suits.

It happens now and then. You hear a story so sad, so beautiful, so filled with loss and pain and grief and love, that it makes you cry. Really cry. Two years ago, I was making a grocery run for my family on Memorial Day when a story came on the local NPR station in Oxford, Miss. It was about a father whose son had been killed in action in northwest Afghanistan. The father was Paul Monti; his son was Sergeant Jared Monti. Jared died in Afghanistan trying to save the life of one of his men.

The recent attack on a British soldier by assassins wielding meat cleavers while bystanders looked on raises the question: “Why didn’t anyone try to help the victim?” Because British citizens are prohibited from carrying objects that could be used as “offensive weapons.” While it is well known that Brits cannot carry guns, a lesser known law prohibits any subject of the Queen from carrying a knife of consequence, pepper spray or a stun gun.According to the United Kingdom government website, the online storehouse of British government regulations, it is illegal to:

DALLAS—It hasn´t been the best of years for Big Tex, the 52-foot-tall animatronic cowboy who has greeted visitors to the State Fair of Texas for decades. His mechanical hand, which waved from side to side as he bellowed "Hoooowdy folks," stopped working before the fair opened last September. His 60th birthday celebration, which was to include one of the country´s biggest marching bands, was rained out. Then catastrophe struck three days before the fair ended last October. After a suspected electrical short inside his size 70 cowboy boots, Mr. Tex went up in a burst of flames that devoured

What would help a lot right now, as the chilling reality of savagery engulfs us, would be a cultural green light to begin calling evil what it is, to begin calling it by its name, to stop dancing around demographics because of the fear someone, somewhere will take offense. There is always someone, somewhere looking for a reason to be offended. Jesse Jackson has fashioned a lucrative career out of being perpetually peeved. It works if you know how to play the game. And one of the reasons it works is that too many people who ought to know better allow themselves

The White House on Friday didn’t respond to a report that Attorney General Eric Holder authorized the seizure a Fox News reporter’s phone and email records — and with no daily press briefing scheduled Friday that could mean silence from the administration through the Memorial Day weekend. NBC News reported Thursday that Holder approved the search of Fox News reporter James Rosen’s private emails and phone records in a probe of leaked government information. That revelation came just as the president ordered Holder to review Justice Department guidelines for investigating reporters. White House officials have not yet responded

President Obama’s speech at the National Defense University calling for an end to the war on terror forces the question of who gets to declare peace. The Left wing in our political debate has been agitating for some time to repeal the authorization to use military force that the Congress passed after 9/11. The President boarded the bandwagon yesterday. He vowed he would sign no laws designed to expand the mandate and declared outright that he looks forward “to engaging Congress and the American people in efforts to refine, and ultimately repeal” the congressional mandate to use force.

Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering personifies the State Department mentality that so many conservatives find objectionable. He authored a Global Zero report arguing for unilateral disarmament and then runs to his co-author Chuck Hagel’s defense, saying it doesn’t say what it plainly does. He gets selected for a critical State Department review of Benghazi, doesn’t interview the secretary or high-level advisers, and writes a report identifying no one in particular. He famously replied that it was fine to leave out higher-ups because “because in fact we knew where the responsibility rested.” In a milieu where double-talk, evasion

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling
