The Florida socialite at the centre of CIA director David Petraeus downfall is planning a tell all book, according to friends. The 37 year old is understood to have held preliminary talks with publishers to tell her side of the story that led to the resignation of General Petraeus. ´Trust me, there is going to be a book in the New Year. You can count on it,´ said a friend of the Tampa socialite. Kelley, 37, has not spoken about her pivotal role in the scandal which led to Petraeus´s affair with his biographer Paul Broadwell being exposed last month. Petraeus, 58,

Jill Kelley made Jill Kelley look like a fool. Who but a power-obsessed bimbo would try to get the Feds involved in her twin sister´s divorce?

I do not care what she writes, I wouldn´t read it - seldom you see such a dumbell like her getting mad because she got caught. The general doesn´t look so good either. Is he also writing a book?

Jill Kelley was a pompous and arrogant fool; broke, dishonest in stealing from a cancer foundation she created; expecting special treatment when none was due; an honorary consulate. Yes, Jill Kelley definitely was a fool.

The floozy will only things worse for herself if she "writes" a book.

The lurid little scandal has already died down; nobody´s talking about it anymore. It potential as a subject for a bestselling book is probably over.

Wise counsel would be to heed the old maxim,
"t´is better to keep one´s mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it ... and remove all doubt."

The publishing business is in such trouble it is doubtful they would pay much for Jill´s memoir, which would end up on the remainder tables due to lack of readers, anyway.

Also, #17 - Priceless.

#16 is probably closer to the truth about subordinate officers than the military would want to admit. It happens in the business world, too. In either case it "ain´t pretty".

Okay, Jill, her sister and Paula are all fools but why take it all out on just the women in this florid mess? How about the adult men, senior military officers who supposedly have been tempered by the field of battle and maturity? They fell for these women quicker than a young sailor on his first liberty weekend at some foreign port with a street walker.

BTW - Paula´s arms - hello Michelle?

Just because a woman is good looking, wears stylish clothing / sexy clothing does not make her a fool or some of the other descriptions used above. Keep in mind that the White House had good reason to slander this person to destroy the credibility of anyone who might contradict their Benghazi story line. It might be worthwhile to hear her side of the story. There is ALWAYS two sides of the story.

What was described as a rogue FBI agent sending topless pictures of himself to Kelley turned out to be something innocuous, not an Anthony Weiner type of picture. What was described as thousands of pages of e-mails was described later (at least in one story) as 60 to 70 emails, which might be one per week, depending on the length of time.

This woman was smart enough to get into medical school which most of us could not do. I might read what she has to say.

It is the stark contrast between all these perfumed Pentagon princes and their socialite/biographer camp followers bee-bopping around the Pentagon and CENTCOM, while true warriors fight to the death against impossible odds against radical Islamists, while the administration and state department look on voyeuristically, and idly, that offends our sensibilities. The thing that gets me about this is that people like Petraeus are supposed to be smarter than us and as head of the CIA should know that groupies would be stalking him. He turned out to be just another lonely man who became a fool for a little bit of attention from these groupies.

Organized Labor: On the surface, the Los Angeles mayor´s race looked like a choice between Coke and Pepsi. But Eric Garcetti´s lopsided win over Wendy Greuel showed a major difference — in the public´s view of unions. City Controller Greuel lost 54%-46% on Tuesday, bested by City Councilman Garcetti, who will become the mayor of America´s second-largest city on July 1. It was an interesting result because the candidates are two peas in a pod. Both are left-wing Democrats with ideas so closely aligned they have been political allies; both grew up in the San Fernando Valley;

Argentine government trade restrictions on overseas sales of beef have turned Paraguay into Mercosur third largest exporter behind Brazil and Uruguay. The first place last year belonged to Brazil with exports of 1.3 million tons; Uruguay, 350.000 tons; Paraguay, 210.00 and finally Argentina.183.000 tons. The poor international performance of Argentina, once the world leading beef exporter is attributed to the measures first implemented by President Nestor Kirchner in 2006 and continued by her wife and current head of state.

An editorial at Investors.com Monday noted that, having succeeded twice at electing a candidate with a radical socialist background, Barack Obama’s political advisors have now moved from a goal of merely controlling the “narrative,” to one of control of the actual “news.” The “seizure of AP phone records and surveillance of Fox employees,” says the editorial, demonstrates the White House’s “real aim.” The editorial observes that Obama’s political advisors have reveled in their ability to work the media. Statism: Pope Francis seemed to have an economic blind spot, to say the least, when he urged more "state control" to cut global poverty Thursday. On the contrary — the biggest poverty-killer in history is free enterprise. Before we go further, let us say that we know that the pope does seem to have the best intentions and his devotion to the poor is indisputable. But it appears he has been infected by the local economic pathologies of his homeland, Argentina, and its liberation theology among the Jesuits, at least when he warned ambassadors about "the tyranny of money"

Democracy: The IRS targeting of Tea Party groups is mind-boggling not only for its abuse of government power. It´s also disturbing for what it intended to do: destroy civil society, opening a door for tyranny. The formation in 2009 of hundreds of Tea Party groups at the rallying cry of CNBC news editor Rick Santelli, from places as diverse as Lowell, Mass., Pleasanton, Calif., Asheville, N.C., Yuma, Ariz., and Lincoln, Neb., among hundreds of others, was a spontaneous reaction by ordinary American citizens to an overspending, oversized government whose overreach called into question its constitutionality.

Many observers have pondered if the United States is following the same troubled path as Argentina. In the 1940s, Argentina’s Juan Domingo Perón used government agencies for political gain and created a popular form of fascism called Perónism. In the United States, the recent revelation of the Internal Revenue Service targeting political enemies is a bad omen. Are we on an Argentinean course? The road to decay in my native country, Argentina, began with the implementation of one of the most powerful collectivist doctrines of the 20th century: fascism.

When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.
