At her peak, she also weighed over 31st (200kg) and had size 26ft. Scroll down for video -She reportedly died on the morning of November 13 in her hometown of Zhucheng, eastern China. Born in 1972, Yao developed gigantism due to a tumour on her pituitary gland. By the age of 15, she stood at over two metres tall.

G-d bless her. Your body keeps growing and it rips apart your arteries. Unlike a heart attack at least you know it is coming.

This article doesn´t make sense. It says her family couldn´t afford a second operation for when the tumor regrew. Don´t they have free health care in China, just like we do now?

I am suspicious of the photo with her in the chair. It looks very much photoshopped to me. First, the size difference doesn´t look right to me -- she looks too big, especially compared to the previous pic apparently taken on a different day.

Why aren´t her feet on the ground?
Why is there no shadow?
What is that pink sliver behind her right arm?

None of this matters, but I am just always looking for MSM manipulation of the truth, in our brave new world.

You may be right, #3, but what does it matter? Imagine having to go through life as a "freak". This sad passing only reminds me of our humanity. R.I.P.

Her parents couldn´t afford a second surgery? I thought, under communism, it´s all free. I´m so disillusioned. /s

Finally, she has peace.
Condolences to her family.

CHICAGO -- The Obama administration has chosen a private attorney and former federal prosecutor who helped send former Illinois Gov. George Ryan to prison for corruption to head the U.S. attorney´s office in Chicago, Illinois´ senators announced Thursday. Zachary Fardon, 46, would replace Patrick Fitzgerald, who stepped down last summer to enter private practice. Fitzgerald rose to national prominence during more than a decade in the office and successfully convicted two Illinois governors, including Ryan. The U.S. Senate must confirm President Barack Obama´s nomination of Fardon. Fitzgerald issued a statement to The Associated Press calling Fardon "a terrific choice,"

GREENVILLE, California -- An earthquake in far northeastern California was felt by thousands of people as far away as San Francisco and in two other states, but there have been no reports of injury or serious damage. The magnitude-5.7 quake broke dishes and shook mirrors when it struck at 8:47 p.m. Thursday, officials said. It was centered near Greenville, about 25 miles southwest of Susanville in far northeastern California, said Rafael Abreu, a geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey´s National Earthquake Center in Golden, Colo. There have been several aftershocks, including a magnitude 4.9 that struck early Friday morning.

MOORE, Oklahoma- In deeply religious Moore, Oklahoma, God and prayer are frequently mentioned as sources of strength for residents reeling from the fourth damaging tornado in 15 years. "My family and God is what´s helping us through this," said Vickie Myers, 39, whose husband Brent, a disabled military veteran, is now recovering after he was pulled unconscious from the rubble of their home on Monday. (Snip)Oklahoma is among the states of the so-called "Bible Belt" where church attendance is highest. A Gallup survey published in 2012 found that 77 percent of people in Oklahoma described themselves as strongly or

When Chelsea Clinton wanted to make a low-key visit to the hurricane-stricken Rockaways last fall, she arranged to take a trip with her close friend Huma Abedin, a longtime aide to Hillary Rodham Clinton. So some members of the Clinton camp were surprised and unsettled to learn that Ms. Abedin also brought along her husband, Anthony D. Weiner, the former congressman who had rarely been seen in public since resigning his seat the previous year. The next day, Mr. Weiner reactivated his Twitter account to post a video about the Rockaways. Photographs soon surfaced in New York news outlets

WASHINGTON — At times on Thursday, it seemed President Obama was taking part in a debate rather than giving a speech. Deep into an address at the National Defense University, where Mr. Obama sought to redefine America’s approach to fighting terrorism, a heckler repeatedly interrupted from the back of the room, demanding an end to drone strikes and the closing of the Guantánamo Bay detention center in Cuba. The heckler — though she objected strenuously to being described that way — was Medea Benjamin, a co-founder of Code Pink, a group opposed to United States military actions.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” That’s the full text of the First Amendment. But (with apologies to the old Far Side comic), this is what many in the press, academia, and government would hear if you read it aloud: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, blah blah blah, or abridging the freedom of the press,

Fox News chief Roger Ailes´s letter to his employees is a battle cry that will echo beyond the Avenue of the Americas. "The administration’s attempt to intimidate Fox News and its employees will not succeed and their excuses will stand neither the test of law, the test of decency, nor the test of time. We will not allow a climate of press intimidation, unseen since the McCarthy era, to frighten any of us away from the truth," he wrote. Already, Fox News has found some unlikely allies--even in the left media. Salon.com´s Washington, DC correspondent, a frequent critic

The public got its first look Thursday at Lois Lerner, who has gone from faceless IRS bureaucrat to the face that launched what feels like 1,000 congressional hearings and conspiracy theories. But it was only a brief sighting since she didn´t stay long at a House hearing to further probe her role in how some IRS workers came to target conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status. (Snip)She did make a short statement to declare her innocence, however. Lerner´s motivation was more transparent than much of what the IRS has done in connection with this controversy. When you get right down to it, the political targeting and stalling of tax-exempt applications by the IRS was an effort to defund the Tea Party. Rick Santelli, one of the Tea Party founders and my CNBC colleague, was the first to make this point. I’ve taken it a step further: The IRS was taking the Tea Party out of play for the 2012 election, as it looked to avoid a repeat of 2010 and another Tea Party landslide. There are a lot of numbers out there.

You´re never too old or too busy to continue your education!" the actress wrote on her Who Say site Wednesday, sharing loads of pics of her big day, posing with her family, cohorts and diploma.

What´s so interesting about 60 tea partiers protesting the IRS in San Jose, California on Tuesday, May 21st? The fact that this bit of information was conveyed to the protesters by a Department of Homeland Security officer who was also in attendance. President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

On “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, White House aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked about President Barack Obama’s whereabouts the night of the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi. This was the night when we lost our first ambassador in 30 years, and when three other Americans were killed in an attack that lasted all night long at multiple locations within the eastern Libyan city. Since the president is commander in chief, one would think where he was and what he did during such an event would be of obvious public concern.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa said embattled IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights and will be hauled back to appear before his panel again. The California Republican said Lerner’s Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination was voided when she gave an opening statement this morning denying any wrongdoing and professing pride in her government service. “When I asked her her questions from the very beginning, I did so so she could assert her rights prior to any statement,” Issa told POLITICO. “She chose not to do so — so she waived.”
