On Thursday, Joe Scarborough examined the way both sides are handling themselves as the fiscal cliff hoopla continues. Particularly, he focused on President Obama who is facing what he deemed to be an interesting and difficult dynamic in his second term — after being treated so poorly in his first. “In my toughest political battles, every time I won, the bigger the victory, the more gracious I was afterwards,” Scarborough said. “That’s how you get things done.” Later in the segment, referring to fiscal cliff talks, Brzezinski said,
Comments: Please stop this insanity! Just when you think this moron couldn´t get any worse you see this. Just go on over to the Democrats Joe because you sure aren´t a Republican!
Joe, you have got to be kidding, he has been treated like royalty, he and the missus have been given taxpayer funded vacations, finest food and wine, chefs at their beck and call. So I guess that those who are trying to make ends meet, paying taxes to fund their lavish lifestyle are the ones who are so good. I am glad for one thing, your on MSNBC and your not in Congress anymore. Your a real jerk.
Almost every meber of the media, Fox included, keeps telling us that president zero is a genius, and that his wife is beautiful. The masses have bowed down to him, hoping to touch his saintly robes as he mingles among them. And that is second class citizen treatment?
Moron, name ONE thing this President was denied. From destroying entire industries, like coal, to a blank check for the most outrageous spending binge in history, this dubious President has been given everything without any meaningful fight. I hate the media. Until there is some kind of airing of the propaganda, 314 sheeple will continue to shuffle into a very bad future.
0bama and Michelle have been treated to over twenty Multi-million dollar vacations to the most expensive resorts and all at taxpayers´ expense. There is nothing second class about the treatment of these two grifters. 0bama has spent over a trillion dollars of the taxpayers´ money, all at his discretion. What is wrong with Scarborough?
When I first heard the claim, I thought it was a mistake or hoax. A talking head was describing a raging war in the Democratic Party between progressives and centrists. Centrist Democrats? Aren’t they already extinct? Yes, they’re gone, the dodo birds of politics. But the chattering classes, needing something to chatter about and slow to face facts about their darling liberals, are just discovering that the party of Barack Obama and Bill de Blasio bears little resemblance to the party of FDR, JFK and even Bill Clinton. Oh, please. Some of us have been saying this for years. The Democratic Party has
The White House denied allegations from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh that it “cherrypicked” data to make the case against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons. Hersh published the charge in the London Review of Books on Sunday: Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community:
MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry opened her program over the weekend with a commentary about the Affordable Care Act’s colloquial moniker: “Obamacare.” She said that the word was originally created as a “derogatory term,” designed by white men as a way to delegitimize President Barack Obama and his achievement. However, she said that the term will soon be synonymous with all of Obama’s accomplishments and she urged her audience to use the term with pride. “I want to talk today about a controversial word. It’s a word that has been with us for years, and like it or not, it’s indelibly
Many observers, including myself, have drawn unflattering comparisons between the disastrous administration of Jimmy Carter – considered by many our worst president ever - and that of President Obama. On reflection, I think we’ve been unkind to Mr. Carter. While he had many faults, Carter seldom lied. On the other hand, President Obama seems to have a complicated relationship with the truth. Most recently – and absurdly- White House spokesman Jay Carney was left to explain that President Obama had indeed met his uncle Onyango Obama– the one who is in the country illegally – despite statements to the contrary made
The Baby Jesus has been kicked off Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, according to an organization who relishes any opportunity to eradicate Christianity from the U.S. military. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation praised officials at Shaw Air Force Base for removing a Nativity scene located near Memorial Lake on Friday. The traditional Nativity included plastic statues of Mary, Joseph, the Baby Jesus and an assortment of animals. Apparently, an undisclosed number of Airmen were so emotionally troubled by the sight of a manger scene that they immediately notified the MRFF.
With a death of Nelson Mandela, some people are wondering about a possible encounter between the American and Iranian president at memorial events in South Africa this week – especially after a failed attempt by U.S. officials to arrange one at the U.N. last fall. As of Sunday, Iran had not yet formally confirmed whether President Hasan Rouhani plans to travel to South Africa, but that did not stop one Iranian newspaper from warning that the funeral events could be a “trap” that would bring him face to face with the leader of the “great satan.” “Satan lays a trap,
The New York-based Satanic Temple is now demanding its own statue beside one displaying the Ten Commandments currently on the steps of the Statehouse in Oklahoma City. Satanic Temple spokesman Lucien Greaves said the group will submit several designs this month, and according to USA Today, he has begun spelling out guidelines: "We believe that all monuments should be in good taste and consistent with community standards," Greaves wrote in letter to state officials. "Our proposed monument, as an homage to the historic/literary Satan, will certainly abide by these guidelines." Greaves said one potential design involves a pentagram, a satanic
The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
More young men in California rise in pitch at the end of their sentences when talking, new research shows. This process is known as "uptalk" or "valleygirl speak" and has in the past been associated with young females, typically from California or Australia. But now a team says that this way of speaking is becoming more frequent among men.The findings were presented at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in California. "We found use of uptalk in all of our speakers, despite their diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, bilingualism and gender," said Amanda Ritchart, a linguist at the University of
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the hapless, goalpost-shifting so-called "architect" of Obamacare, told Fox News´ Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that President Barack Obama´s promise "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was absolutely true--with one important caveat: if you like your doctor, "you can pay for it." Wallace grilled Dr. Emanuel, challenging his false claims that California´s enrollment was keeping pace with the percentage of the young population necessary to keep the system afloat, and pointing out that the president´s promise on doctors would collapse once people lost their insurance or their
President Barack Obama’s Facebook page on Saturday posted a message honoring the dead from Pearl Harbor—accompanied by a picture of Obama descending the stairs next to the Pearl Harbor Memorial. The picture barely fits the name of the Arizona Memorial so it can frame Obama in the foreground. The post´s statement reads: Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. President Obama The Obama Administration´s current shipbuilding plan shrinks the size of
