| Residents of a senior adult apartment complex in California staged a protest after the management of their building announced a ban on Christmas trees and menorahs in communal areas. (Snip) “We’re all angry,” resident Fern Scheel told the Los Angeles Daily News.“We want that tree. Where’s our freedom? This is ridiculous.” JB Partners Group sent a memorandum to The Willows in Newhall, Calif. ordering them to remove the Christmas tree from the community room because they deemed it a religious symbol, the newspaper reported.

Comments: As well they should be! The election of 0bama sure has brought out the worst in every sick leftist in this country.

I am always amazed at the sheer clueless thinking of progressive fascists. Did they ever stop and think that this will fly at anytime, let alone Christmas time? They will be forced to back down and look like the fools they are.

Our apartment development in Manhattan had both a Christmas tree lighting celebration last week along with carolers and refreshments, and a menorah lighting a couple of days later ... out in the park area between the buildings.

When we can be, we must be proactive. Here´s the email address for the owners: contact@jbproperty.net
Let´s bombard their email box and let them know what we think of this outrageous decision!

I pray that all these attempts at repression of religious expression (although for many a Christmas tree has absolutely no religious connotation!) will result in a more vigorous resurgence of such.

Ok, so they are "Angry". What are they gonna do about it? Nothing, thats what. They will sulk in their apartments and shut-up, eat their gruel and that will be the end of it.
What should they do? They should put up a tree anyways. If it is taken down, put up another, and another. This is an apartment management decision, nothing more. Easily fought, and easily won. So tired of folks bowing to leftists when a small showing of spine would win the day...

I used to live in Newhall. It is home to a large population of evangelicals, churches, and Pastor John MacArthur´s school, The Master´s College. The Christian community there was very strong and involved when I left almost a decade ago. That this is in the news now is very disturbing.
...but then, everything in the news these days is very disturbing. The liberals are going hog-wild in their new amerika.

Here is what I sent them:
The constitution guarantees "Freedom OF religion" NOT "freedom from religion". You people are denying these seniors their constitutional right, and they should initiate a class action law suit against you. I hope they do, and I hope they win. They could then own your complex, instead of rent from people such as yourselves

Have two community rooms. One with Christmas and one without. Let the old folks choose where they want to spend their time.

D´oh! Unless you´re Muslim, of course. Gotta be politically correct.
Probably next year, they´ll tell all these seniors... "Hey, if ya just take a hike... you can sleep with 72 virgins... wanna go now... ?" Bad for business? Nah, there´s lots more seniors.

A Christmas tree is not really a religious symbol, that term being mmore properly reserved for representations of Jesus Christ´s time on earth. The Christmas tree is a tradition arising from Germany in the 1800s when it was a joyful thing to do to bring light and life to brighten the dreary days of winter. It is a vehicle for outward expressions of family love; and when there is no longer the blood related family and the community of friends has become ´family´, who should dare to deny such a pleasure.

There needs to be a Supreme Court-level challenge against all this crapola to establish once and for all that expression of religion is not against the Constitution. The leftists are destroying religion one school, church, and community at a time. They don´t have the funds or organization to stand up against the massive funding of the ACLU and others.

#5. I feel just the same way. You have a neighbor who gets picked on by someone for his flag height, size, etc.? So every house within 6 blocks (or more) starts permanently flying their OWN flags. Make these troublemakers regret they ever opened their mouths. Same with this Christmas bashing. So, volunteers bring free Christmas trees for every single private room in the place. Seniors, gather and sing Christmas hymns every day. Start praying in the "communal" areas. Invite Rabbis and Pastors in for special things in separate apartments. Call the media.. Ladies, do some tearful interviews for the national media. Call O´Rielly. These are just a few ideas. Call Jay Sekulow´s office for advice. FIGHT BACK.

Is this part of the death panels ? They should sue because their health is deteriating from stress. So much for the golden years.
Where is the ACLU ?

In 2007, then Senator Barack Obama appeared on CNN´s Larry King Live and called on U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to resign. Obama said Gonzales was acting more like the president´s attorney than the people´s attorney and viewed himself as an "enabler of the administration." "Well, I voted against Alberto Gonzales confirmation for precisely the reason we are seeing now. I said this on the floor of the senate, that although he seemed to be a capable attorney, he seemed to conceive his role as being the president´s attorney instead of being the people´s attorney," Obama said.

MARK LEVIN: So why didn´t Chairman Issa hold an investigative hearing a year ago? Why didn´t Chairman Camp, all Republicans, hold an investigative hearing a year ago, and all the other tripping over themselves right now? I´ll tell you why. Because the establishment Republicans, the RINO Republicans, despise the Tea Party. They despise the conservative movement. We exist to be managed, to be shuttled to the polling place, to vote for their candidates. The Karl Roves of the world, and all the rest of them. They fight us in the primaries, they fight us at the grassroots.

The way to prevent abortionists like convicted murderer Kermit Gosnell from occurring again is to build more Planned Parenthood clinics, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said at a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Thursday about legislation that would prevent abortion after 20 weeks nationwide. “I would urge my colleagues to think about the extent to which he, Dr. Gosnell, represented the poor quality of health care services available in poorer communities,” Nadler said at the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice hearing. “We should be working to make sure that high quality

House Speaker John A. Boehner on Thursday flatly ruled out chances of the House passing the Senate’s immigration bill, saying his chamber will debate its own bill instead. The Ohio Republican and his top lieutenants in the party issued a joint statement that seemed designed to tamp down some of the momentum behind the Senate bill, which emerged from a committee on a bipartisan 13-5 vote this week, and to stake out a House GOP position. “While we applaud the progress made by our Senate colleagues, there are numerous ways in which

During friendly questioning from Rep. Hank “I fear that Guam will capsize!” Johnson in Congress last week, Attorney General Eric Holder offered the following statement. In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material. This is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy. He made that statement before the facts about the sweep on Fox News’ James Rosen were known. Since then, it’s come to light that Holder himself approved the subpoena that, among other things, named Rosen as a criminal co-conspirator.

As the saying goes, scratch a liberal and you’ll find a tyrant underneath. NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo is but the latest example. He shoved a very restrictive and ill-considered gun law through the state legislature in the dead of night. Among its flaws, the law criminalized police officers who tote firearms with magazines that hold more than seven rounds. Sheriffs around the state have objected to the law. Cuomo summoned them to the state capitol under what appears to be a false pretext, and used the meeting to threaten them into silence. Cuomo invited

The National Council of La Raza (translation: The Race) has partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to encourage Hispanic activists and members to burrow into the federal government. A workshop sponsored by La Raza/The Race will take place in New Orleans on July 23, 2013. Senior Executive Service (SES) employees are federal government employees in special executive management positions, often with salaries approaching $200,000 per year (and well past that with benefits). OPM, a federal government agency, is cooperating and partnering

Conservative radio host Mark Levin is very skeptical of the idea that President Obama had absolutely no idea about the IRS tea party targeting before the story broke in the news mere weeks ago. Levin declared adamantly that it is a “flat-out, bald-faced lie” that Obama didn’t know beforehand, citing prior reports by a few conservative news outlets picking up on the news well before the 2012 presidential election. Levin said, “I don’t believe for two seconds that Obama wasn’t aware of this.”

President Obama on Thursday nominated Victoria Nuland, a State Department official involved in the editing of the administration´s talking points on Benghazi, to be the next assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs. Nuland, a career foreign service officer who was until recently State´s top spokesperson, had long been expected to be nominated the post to replace Philip Gordon, who Obama picked to serve as Middle East coordinator for the National Security Council. Nuland´s nomination -- which requires Senate confirmation -- could come under scrutiny from Republicans who see her as playing a central role in shaping

Anthony Weiner’s New York mayoral candidacy was only made more improbable today after he revealed that he visited a Houston psychiatric facility following his resignation from Congress in 2011. Haunted by scandal surrounding his sexually explicit online communications with women, the Democratic former congressman sought treatment for his compulsive behavior from mental health professionals at the Gabbard Center. According to its website, the facility provides “3-day outpatient psychiatric evaluation,” particularly to “professionals who are in personal or professional crises.” While Weiner did not disclose

Washington rumor has it that Obama wants to be U.N. Secretary General. There are several reasons that make that likely, and if it´s true, it throws new light on a lot of Obama´s oddities -- including his Royalty Bows, his Apology Tours, his Muslim Sellout, and the Benghazi Cover-Up. But first -- why would Obama be planning to become the chief of the U.N. before he has even finished his second term?

On Wednesday, Drummer Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a man who had served Queen and country honorably in the hell of Helmand Province in Afghanistan, emerged from his barracks on Wellington Street, named after the Duke thereof, in southeast London. Minutes later, he was hacked to death in broad daylight and in full view of onlookers by two men with machetes who crowed "Allahu Akbar!" as they dumped his carcass in the middle of the street like so much roadkill. As grotesque as this act of savagery was, the aftermath was even more unsettling

Fox News chief Roger Ailes has sent a memo to his subordinates at the leading cable news network. He sent this memo to his staff today in connection with the federal investigation into an alleged leak to Fox News reporter James Rosen, a story that the Washington Post’s Ann E. Marimow broke earlier this week. The memo’s a masterpiece, too. For all those who wonder what it is about Ailes that endears his people to him — and that makes him such a good interviewee for any media reporter lucky enough to get an audience
